My iphone 5s screen does not lock whilst a call is in progress
My iphone 5s has probs whilst calling the screen doesnt lock
Is this proximity sensor or a setting?
The iPhone screen shouldn't necessarily lock while you are in the phone call, it should however go to sleep while you have it up against your ear. Is that what you mean?
If this is what you mean and you think that there is an issue with the proximity sensor I would recommend playing a voicemail on your phone and instead of holding it up to your ear, putting your finger over the upper speaker. If the screen does not darken then there could very well be something wrong with it.
Make sure first however that the area is cleaned and uncovered, just to be sure.

It's happened to me before as well. Try holding both lock(top right) and home buttons simultaneously until u see a slight flash of wight then just reboot it normally. If that doesn't work try restoring your device from itunes

Check to see if Calculator will rotate into landscape mode. Not all apps support rotation. -
My iphone 5 screen does not respond to touch at all
I don't know what has happened to my phone. The screen does not allow me to even swipe to unlock it. It has lines all the way up the screen of different colours. There is no cracks in the screen or anything like that and I dont recall dropping the phone. The only buttons that work are the home button and the on/off switch. I have tried to reset it but that doesnt work. Any ideas what could have happened and what I can do?

It is not the app, it is Find My iPhone enabled with your iCloud account settings on the iPhone.

Screen Does not Lock when Lid is Closed
Occasionally when closing the lid and waking up later, the screen is not locked. The Console log shows the following error message:

My screen refuses to rotate (the home screen). I already double clicked home button and scrolled over, the circle arrow does NOT have the lock inside it. I went thru all the settings and can find nothing to try and fix this. Do I need to send the phone back? Is it broken? I just got it yesterday. It has not been damaged in any way. Please help.

If you see a lock icon in the upper right you have "rotation lock" enabled. You might try double-clicking the home button and swiping to the left. There you will see an icon with a circular arrow. This is the "portrait orientation lock" I know you stated landscape, but this is worth a try anyway.

Try a pram reset:
Power off. power back on holding OPTION + COMMAND + P + R
continue to hold till you hear the start chime 2 times, then release, reboot.
If still no joy, you may more serioys issues and you may want to take it to a Genius bar (make an appointment)
They will disgnose it for free, then give you your options.

my touch screen does not respond to my "slide to unlock". reset does not help. iPhone 4S works otherwise.
I cannot use it. I can get calls and text messages but I can't respond because the screen is locked and I can't "slide to unlock" because the touch screen does not work.

I have recently upgraded from my iphone 5 to a new phone. My iphone 5 's touch screen does not work anymore. I need to backup my phone, but I can't do it on itunes without my password. Everything besides the screen is completely fine-the screen will not recognize my finger anymore. I am not trying to fix the phone, but I need to have my contacts. The pictures have already synced, but I need my password to do a full backup. Unfortunately, I can't type in my password. Is there any way around it? If I take my phone to the apple store, will they be able to help me? I am not willing to replace the screen just to do this, however, so that is out of the question.
Someone else may have a workaround, but, as far as I know, if you cannot interact with the screen on the iPhone, there is no way to unlock it so you can get to your contacts.
Were you saving them to iCloud by chance? If so, you can restore them to your new phone.

If restoring the phone as new did not solve your problem, you'll need to bring the phone to Apple for evaluation.

So what that means is when you have Do Not Disturb turned on, you may have an alert depending on the setting and how you are using your iPhone. So if it is set to Always, then that means that no matter what, your iPhone will not be notified. If it set to Only while the iPhone is locked, then that means that you will not get notification when your iPhone is locked but you will get notifications if your iPhone is being used. Also keep in mind the settings All Calls From can be set to certain contacts like Favorites, Everyone or no one. If you are using Do Not Disturb and you do not need it, then turn it off.
