My iPhone 5s will let me receive texts but not able to send

I can get texts sent to me and can enter the sender and my msg but not able to hit the send button.

Check with your carrier that your text plan is properly provisioned.
Check Settings > Messages >
     iMessage: ON
     Send as SMS: ON
     Show Subject Field: OFF

Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if it then works.

Obviously make sure that all of the information has been entered correctly including your username and passwords and that you are using upper and lower case letters as you should be using in your password since it is case sensitive.

I tyhink that you need ExportPDF, Adobe ExportPDF (read only). In any case, thius may help: Cancel your membership or subscription | Acrobat.com online services

Under Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars, What do you have set for the Default Calendar? Personal?
If you don't have it set to a Cloud Calendar it will only create the entry locally. You would need to select the iCloud Calendar specifically when creating the Calendar entry to have it sync.
Otherwise set your default calendar to be the iCloud Calendar so all entries are created there by default. And as such get synced to other devices.

Update: It seems as though the phone will charge if I plug it in and then turn it off. It will not charge while the phone is on. Also iTunes will not recognize it, so I can't sync or anything. I read somewhere that it could be a fuse somewhere?? Or maybe the dock connector. Where is the best place to get this repaired?

Hello Guys! I hope someone could help me, Im having trouble with my phone's signal, I am not able to send and receive msgs, same as make calls and receive calls. At first, my phone is working fine (iphone 4, iOS 7.0.4) and all of a sudden, my text messages are not getting through, and I noticed that my phone shows NO SERVICE, I refreshed the phone by turning it off and turning it on after a couple of minutes, it worked. My phone is okay again after that, Im able to send and receive messages again. But after few hours, the problem came again. NO SERVICE sign is displayed again, but this time after refreshing the phone nothing good happened. I tried almost every possible thing I can to fix it but it doesn't work. What should I do.

These are the recommended troubleshooting steps to resolve No Service issues on iPhone:
Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.
Turn iPhone off and then on again.
Remove the SIM card and verify that it's a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it isn't damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
Check for a carrier-settings update. Connect to a Wi-Fi network. Then tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, iOS will ask you if you want to install it. If Wi-Fi isn't available, connect your device to iTunes.
Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
Restore the iPhone.
If you are outside the United States, please also follow these steps:
Go to Settings > Carrier > Automatic.
If the phone registers any carrier network, Settings > Carrier will be present.
If the Carrier option is missing in Settings and you are outside of the Unites States, please contact Apple for support and service options.
Set the option for Automatic to off.
A list of potentially available carriers appears after about two minutes. If the device is locked to a carrier, it may connect only to the carrier network to which it is locked. If the device displays carrier networks, then the device is working as expected.
Set Settings > Carrier > Automatic back to on.
If you're still experiencing No Service issues, contact your carrier to check for any network or account issues that could cause these symptoms.

Receiving texts but not sending or calling, networks fine.

Present network, receives texts but doesnt send, call (sorry we are experiencing technical difficulites) and no internet (Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet) HELLLPPP
I have rebootyed it and reset all network settings ect
It is an iPhone 4

Have you contacted your carrier?
They can send a reset to your iPhone which must be powered off when this is done, so call from a landline.
Or the SIM card may have a problem and needs to be replaced.

Added money to account. Can receive texts but not send them.

I added money to my daughters prepay account and she can send texts but not receive them. I have tried sending fresh texts and tried replying back and all I get are "message not sent" notifications. We are both on VZW. She got the verifcation text that the money went in and that the $20 texting plan was activated. Please help.

I am sorry to learn the device is not receiving texts! That's a bummer! Was your daughter's phone getting messages before adding money to it?
