My iPhone 6 doesn't get imessage notifications in sleep mode

I'm having this issue since I bought my iPhone 6 last November 2014. I don't get notifications when someone sends me an imessage, unless I wake the phone up, then the imessage will suddenly appear. Like 'iMessage from someone, 40mins ago'. I'm on wifi btw. It's really annoying. I'm on iOS 8.2. Please help. I've tried resetting the network settings but it did not fix the problem. Thanks.

I Had the same problem with my IPhone 6. It took me a little while to figure it out. I went through all the settings over and over again thinking maybe I was missing something. i even reset all setting, called sprint and followed their advice. I followed most of the suggestions I found online. Nothing seemed to help. Finally just out of curiosity I turned off my LTE now everything works fine. A let it rest a day, then enabled LTE again. And calls quit coming through. It seems on my end to be a network problem or firmware problem. But my phone works good in 3G mode only.

iPhone 4 32Gb doesn't wake up from the sleep mode. When the iPhone goes into the sleep mode, I can't wake it up with the 'Power' button, neither with the 'Home' button. The phone is working, I even can hear the sound of 'unblock' slider if u touch and slide the screen at the place where the 'unblock' slider suppose to be, but the screen remains black. Do someone have the same problem? In Russia we have no official Apple Stores and my iPhone 4 is from Malaysia. So I can't just go to the Apple office and replace the phone. What can I do?

No, I don't have a case only a protective membrane on the screen... and I've tried to reset the iPhone by holding the 'Power' and 'Home' buttons with no result. After this reset the phone is working normally sometimes for about ten minutes (wakes up after one push), but then it's all repeats. And I repeat, that if I connect the iPhone to the PC with the USB-cable, the sleep mode is working fine, just like it should (I can wake the phone with one button push).

That's because her phone is recognized in the Apple database as an iPhone. It should eventually convert to SMS but that's above my level of expertise here so hopefully someone else can come along and help you further. She could just turn on iMessage and solve the problem. Ha!

Hi and thanks for any enlightment on this subject in advance! I recently purchased a iphone4 and it doesn't get as good as reception as my LG old phone does in my mobile home in Torrance, CA . I turned the phone on and off and also removed and reinstalled the sim card. Of course both phones were operating with the same carrier which is at&t. Any other Ideas I might try?

IPhone 1.1.4 will not wake from sleep mode

I have an iPhone with 1.1.4 firmware. The problem that I have is that the phone will not wake from sleep mode by pressing the "home" button. I have to press both the "home" and "sleep/power" buttons and hold them for 6 seconds for the phone to restart. I did restore the phone twice - did not solve the problem. Then, one day, I left it charging for about 3 days and when I came back it started working fine. Not for long though( After about a week of normal usage the wake up problem came back. I don't know what to do. I don't think it's the software problem, since I did complete restoration 2 times.
If the phone is connected to a charger or computer - it wakes up fine.

When you've restored the iPhone, have you tried setting it up as a new phone? This would truly eliminate software as a possibility.
If setting it up as a new phone doesn't correct the issue, it's probably time for service: apple.com/support/iphone/service/faq/

IPhone stolen trying to get iMessages

So unfortunately I upgraded to a brand new iPhone only to have it stolen within minutes of me buying it... I was originally with O2 on an iPhone 4s but then got a contract with Vodafone for the iPhone 5.. I was on the phone with O2 canceling that contract so that I could use my old number on my new phone when the new one was stolen (so I haven't cancelled my old contract yet)... So essentially I have two numbers at the moment still. I want to keep my 02 line open right now so I can still receive iMessages. However, my iPhone 4s with 02 is completely smashed and can not be turned on at all.. So I had it connected with my Mac already before all of this and would use iMessage on it.. However, right now iMessage is not really working. I see my phone number when I log in with my Apple ID but it's grayed out and it won't let me checkmark it. My email address is underneath not checked and allows me to check it. When I check it my number becomes black and is checked however, I still am not receiving iMessages through the phone number only through the email.. Is there anyways to fix this??
Ps... also if anyone knows any loopholes to get out of the new contract with Vodafone let me know!

Your contacts are gone. The iPhone was never designed to be a stand alone storage device. While contacts are included in the iPhone backup, that backup only happens if you sync or manually create a backup. Since you don't sync(bad idea), no iPhone backup exists to restore from. Further, contacts are designed to be synced with a supported contact application on your computer. Had you been doing things, as designed, it would be a simple matter of restoring your contacts. Don't make the same mistake with your new phone.

Wireless Mouse Doesn't Work After Waking From Sleep Mode

I have a MacBook Pro 13" 2.9 GHZ running on OSX 10.8 and when it wakes from sleep the wireless usb mouse no longer functions. I have to continually unplug then plug the mouse back in for it to work. Is there a way to solve this problem? I haven't found any definitive answers through searching the web. It's minor but irritating as I'm not fond of using the trackpad.

If the iPhone won't Restart you should be able to Reset it. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
For the future (in case you don't' know), go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage, and choose your Device under the Backups list.
Under the Backup Options turn off anything you don't care about (being backed up, that is). This will let you reduce the backup size so that it fits in iCloud again. You can also delete the current backup here.
You should also check Settings > General > Usage and look at how much data each app is storing. Identify problem apps and go clean out unwanted files.

Apple tv goes into sleep mode but doesn't boot up (tv screen is blank) unless I power it off thn back on.

apple tv 2 will operate normaly after initial startup, but doesn't always wake out of sleep mode. Status light is steady white but no image is displayed on the tv screen. Power the unit off then back on and the menu appears on the screen. Any thoughts? Just did the latest software update...

Try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.

Hi there,
I updated the BIOS of my main board Z68A GD65 (G3) yesterday to the latest version on the MSI site (E7681IMS.P80) and I noticed that my PC doesn't always resume correctly from sleep mode now.
It seems that it works when I resume immediately, but after a nights rest the display remains black, although it looks like the PC itself is starting correctly (mouse, keyboard hdd etc)
Anyone know what this could be? Should i change a setting in the BIOS maybe?

My iPad doesn't go into sleep mode when guided access is enabled despite having set "enable sleep mode" to on in the settings menu. COnsequently, my battery life drains very quickly during the day as the screen doesn't dim or go into sleep mode at all. Help!

Seems this feature is lost with iOS 7.0.4. I just bought 4 iPod Touches for employee use and NEED to have sleep mode enabled for guided access to conserve battery life.
I did have 1 iPod that allowed me to enable sleep mode (and I tested that it allowed the top button to be pressed to immediately go to sleep), then after it ran the 7.0.4 upgrade it no longer allowed sleep mode when in guided access (I did not check the original version of iOS on the iPod but it was obviously older than 7.0.4).
Is there some new hidden way to turn this on or did Apple delete the option?

you can change the accounts of different apps in the phone's settings menu.
