My iPhone 6 is currently completely un-useable

Hi, I have an iPhone 6 and I've been enjoying very much since I got it, its been running 8.1 very smoothly. Until today, I plugged in my iPhone to sync to iTunes and I created a back up on my computer because I hadn't backed it up in a while, then I began to restore my phone because I needed to fix some other minor problems i was having at the time. Well, my phone restored and turned back on, working great, however this time it was on an older backup, one from like 4 months ago, i was confused so I restored it again, this time making 100% sure it was to the backup I had just created not moments ago. As it turns out, my phone is now stuck on the apple logo, an endless reboot. I'd had this problem before, so I did the classic "put your device in recovery mode" method and restored from there and found that THIS didn't even work. It gave me an error message 17. I then tried downloading an ipsw for 8.1 one and manually restoring it in recovery mode and still had no luck. I then went to the two other computers in my house and tried every single method of restoring that you can think of and found no luck on anything. Now, every time i try to power my phone on, it immediately goes to recovery mode only a few seconds after being on the apple boot up logo. If anybody has a solution for this I would be very very grateful because I'm extraordinarily ****** off right now because of the fact that I cannot use my phone at all, I have a lot of important things on here that i use on a day to day basis like so many iPhone users do, and if I could get a response asap that would be spectacular.

The good news is that you are getting a consistent error.  17 is a communications error and is usually related to communication to the update servers.  If multiple computers in the household give the same error, then its either the router base firewall or the device / USB connection.  Obviously we can agree that it is probably the device.  I would take it into an Apple Retail Store or service location ASAP to have it tested.

    The problem is with version 10.4.1.  I had to reload 10.3 to get it to work.  The recommendation from a previous poster worked for me.  Here was their list of steps:
    Go to Control Panel>Programs>Uninstall
    2.  Uninstall the following Apple programs in the following order:
         a. iTunes
         b. QuickTime
         c. Apple Software Update
         d. Apple Mobile Devices Support
         e. Bonjour
         f.  Apple Appllcation Support
    3.  Reboot PC
    4.  Find, Download and Install iTunes 10.3 (you can find it at FileHippo.com)
    If you start iTunes now you will get an error message saying that the current iTunes library was created by a newer version of iTunes.  To correct this:
    5.  Go to your Music>iTunes folder and delete the "iTunes Library.itl" database file
    6.  Within this iTunes folder find and open the "Previous iTunes Libraries" folder and locate the most recently dated "iTunes Library (date).itl" database file.
    7.  Copy and Paste this file back into the iTunes folder
    8.  Rename this "iTunes Library (date).itl" file by removing the date.  It should say "iTunes Library.itl"
    9.  Reboot PC

    I upload files to iphone via wifi and air sharing app a lot. Just connect with finder and drag&drop files one at a time and everything is fine, but when you select more files and try to copy them to iphone together Leopard completely freeze. Totally. You cannot force quit finder, cannot run activity monitor, cannot kill finder in terminal or even restart the computer. Just shut down with holding the power button...
    What's wrong? :/

    when i had around 50 reports to move from local to server , best idea is to a )  place all your reports in C:\..\My Documents\PC_NW\..domain1..\..username..\AppInfo\..appsetname..\..application..\eExcel\Reports  (local folder ) 
    b)  open BPC excel -> etools-> Save Dynamic templates -> reports
    c) Select Local folder select all the files you want to copy ,and right click copy
    d) Select Company folder paste files

    You can delete the backup without any problem. Only the backup will be deleted from iCloud and nothing else will be deleted, so you can do it without worrying about losing data on iCloud or your devices

    Iphone will sync with one and only one cpomptuer at a time.  Syncing to another will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer.  This is the design of the  iphone.
    It will erase the content when you sync.
    Why not update from the comptuer with which you normally sync?

    On your iPad tap Settings > Store
    Switch Books off then back on then reset your iPad.
    Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    My iphone 3 has completely frozen.  Facebook and other apps were not loading properly so I deleted facebook and went to the apps store and reloaded. It was still loading and then my phone just froze - I turned it off and then tried to turn it back on and all I am getting is the apple logo in the middle of the phone and rather stupidly I have never synched it!! I know what an idiot!!! I have tried calling vodafone but not surprise they are closed for technical help at this time of night.

    Specifically:
    Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
    Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
    Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
    Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
    After at least 15 minutes, if:
    The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
    The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
    Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.

    Are you the original owner of this phone? If so sign in with the Apple ID and password you used when you first set it up.
    Or did you buy is phone used? Contact the person you bought it from and have him/her correct the problem or refund your money.
    You have encountered activation Lock that prevents stolen or lost phones from being activated. As stated the only way around this problem is to have the original owner clear the phone for your use.

    You can only watch the movie on the device you rented it on. Here's a snippet from the Apple Support site (italics mine):
    If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
    If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

    Thanks to all who responded. You are all absolutely correct. However, this Ipad was a gift to my wife who was dying of cancer in the hospital and wanted some entertainment. So I started it out with her Apple ID. After she passed away I moved from Sacramento to Austin and eventually proceeded to get the Apple ID changed from my wife's to mine. Meanwhile when she was in the hospital I opened an Itunes account in my name to buy movies for her. That was the first mistake.
    Then during the move to Austin I lost track of the IPAD and later found it and tried to use support but could not remember the proper ID. Later the folks at the Apple store helped me create a new and novel Apple ID that was unfortunately unlike any other.
    The botom line is that I am stuck with three Apple IDs and three passwords. I am told by Apple there is nothing they can do about this as IDs cannot be changed or destroyed. I can quit using them or start a new account but when I try to do that the system keeps remembering too many things from the past and resists.
    Even if I sold this Ipad and bought a new one, the system memory is still there.
    I think the real problem is that destop and laptop computers are totally owned by an individual and that individual can control logins and passwords to his liking. IPADs and similar Apple products are different in that the corporation has built in their own intrusion detection schemes because of the relation to Itunes.
    One thing I thought about is to open a new Itunes account pretendding to be a new customer with my regular Apple ID. Perhaps I could do the same with Apple Support.

    Sounds like you've managed to create a sync loop. Look at what you're syncing them with. Make sure you're not syncing them to a cloud service that's also syncing to an address book that's syncing to another cloud service that's syncing to the phone... etc.

    On belhalf of my fellow volunteers, the answer is, "We'll try our best." 
    My advice is to try not to treat this like it is a paid service provided by compensated professionals.  Ask nicely and one of the nice folks here might take some time out of their weekend to offer advice.
