My iPhone and iPad aren't synching

When I try to sync across ipad2 and iPhone 4s amongst other things my notes don't sync, can anyone offer advice as to why this could be happening?

First check that all your settings are correct, that notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the notes you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by checking in accounts on an iOS device, or the left side panel in mail on a computer), non iCloud notes will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your notes are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking notes syncing (mail and notes on a computer) in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling notes syncing.

IPhone and iPad not wirelessly synching

I just downloaded the new I tunes and was having trouble getting into the iTunes store. I then noticed that neither my iphone4s or iPad 2 were showing up in the right side list. I checked to see when they were last synced and my iPhone was last done in march and my iPad in dec. now I charge my iPhone every other day and my iPad every few days so they should synch. Have it set up in iTunes correctly. Will I need to do the synch manually ? Does this have something to do with not being able to get into I tunes store on desktop? It just hangs

The right side list? Where is this area that you are talking about? My iDevices appear on the left side of the iTunes window when iTunes is running. I sync with WiFi.

If iTunes just hangs, I think it can be safely assumed that you might not be able to sync.
Frankly I am just a bit confused by your explanation on what is going on with your devices and iTunes.

Also, once I figure out how to replace iCal with Outlook/Mac on iTunes, how do I synch the phone and pad so that the information on those devices over-writes onto Outlook as a backup, rather than having a blank Calendar on Outlook wipe out all of the information on the phone and pad???

If you haven't tried already, plug your devices into iTunes, and on each device next to the "Summary" tab at the top is another tab called "Info." Click that and scroll down to Contacts, Calendars, etc. There should be a pull down bar under each category for "Sync contacts from..." and you should be able to select from that pull down list Outlook. Hit Apply at the bottom and see if that does it.

It seems that in Messages Beta you could create a "Start Date" if all old messages were removed from the iOS devices.
It seems no different in Messages. (I used this Method during the Beta period)
Others have reported that turning the Phone Off and On again also creates a "Start Point"
(The two methods are mutually exclusive if you do the above first).

You should really read the manual.

Restore. When given the choice, choose to use backup.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer.

Synching. In the past I have synched my iPhone and ipad to my iMac. I would like to now synch my iPhone and ipad to a macbook pro. What is the best way to make that change without losing something ? To stop synching to the seldom used iMac.

You have 90 days of free AppleCare on all new Macs, and if you purchased AppleCare (STRONGLY RECOMMENDED) you also have 3 years of telelphone support. I'd recommend calling AppleCare to to support your MBP.

Try the basics first:
Change your router channel number. Most times this works & is all you have to do.
Disconnect & reconnect your modem. unplug it for about 10 seconds. Plug it back in. Do the same for Apple’s routers. Wait for everything to reboot.
System Preferences>Network
Click the Assist Me button.
In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button & do the necessary.

I have a PC, Iphone and Ipad. The IPhone synchs but an IPad sync generates a "could not connect to Iphone 0xE8000065" error!
It thinks I am syncing the Iphone again as opposed to the Ipad.
I rebooted both but Apple failed to sync the Ipad again.
Thoughts?

I have been syncning fine until this so I was relcutant to believe anyhting need to be changed.
Howver I control - alt - deleted to get MS task manager and then disabled all Apple processes and then rebooted. I also renamed "Ipad" as Ipad1.
Not sure then which if either was responsible for the cure but it is now working.

I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago. I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam. I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase.

same thing happened to me. multiple accounts, not syncing calendars. everything worked until this morning. noticed sync icon rotating last night and iphone is not set up to wi-fi sync, nor do I have an outlook account at all.
