My iphone appears to have randomly broken.
It has plenty of charge and has been working fine all morning and then the screen has gone blank like it's been turned off and doesn't respond when I try and turn it on. Has anyone else had this problem?
Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, usually takes 10 seconds of holding both buttons.
If stlii problem, put on Wall Charger and reset, can take about 20 seconds of holding both buttons.
If still problem, Restore Firmware.
If still problem, iPhone 4S has Warranty, make Genius Reservation, take iPhone to Apple for resolution.

EQ settings appear to have no effect on sound with OS 3.0
Since the 3.0, changing the EQ settings on the iPhone appear to have zero effect on the sound quality using stereo headphones. Anyone else?
fpAny one have link on how to revert to 2.2.1 firmware on a mac? Also I have appointment with BMW on Wednesday next week so will first wait for that to see if they have fix before reverting. Anyone else heard from or tried to contact BMW service? Also I do have a clear work around that works with my 1st gen touch 32gig. Turn off car. Disconnect pod, turn off pod(hold down top button then slide it to off when it comes up with option to turn off). Then Turn on car and turn on pod not connected to car. Make sure car is on something other than aux like fm is what I use. Then once pod is on connect it to cars ipod connector. Now switch to aux and it should work....may have to hit usb as option...(every once and a while mine requires it). Now the bad news. Every-time you turn off car you have to do this again when you turn it on again (so remember to disconnect pod before turning on car). Let me know if anyone else finds this to work with their ipod touch please. Good luck - still surprised there is not more mention of this problem on the web cant believe that a lot of BMW users dont also have ipod touches for use in their car.

My iPhone 5c appears to have been hacked - what should I do?
My iphone 5c appears to have been hacked and has been doing some weird things recently. I have iOS 7 installed.
It deleted all my notes.
It deletes text message streams from various random contacts. I have resorted to taking screenshots of my messages to prove this as it is still happening.
It deleted a few of my contacts so that only their numbers showed on the top of text message conversations.
The weridest thing though is that for the remaining contacts it seemed to add an additional random mobile number to each one so that each contact had two numbers.
Furthermore, for one of my contacts, when I opened the contact there was some French profile wording and a picture of an African man I have no idea who he his (the contact is an asian lady from anerica). I took a screenshot of the contact page and emailed it to her to see if this was something she'd setup by accident but she simply replied that she had no idea why I had that contact stored under her name on my phone.
I live in the UK and do not know any French people!
I'm really worried as it feels like my phone has been hacked/tampered with remotely as this is extremely weird.
How do I find out if my phone has been hacked/tampered with and is there anything Apple or the police can do?
Will restoring the phone clear the issues? I'm reluctant to do this though as I have no faith that important info added to my phone since these happenings (such as my text message screenshots) will not be simply lost forever.
If I can show the issues at the Apple store will they replace the handset? Does it seem like a hardware/software issue or is it obvious that the phone is being tampered with?
Please help!First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting.

My iPhone 4 shut down randomly and the lock button is broken, it has happened before but I just called myself and it turned on. It also wont charge or connect to my computer, how do I restart it?
Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

I am a group exercise instructor and rely heavily on my playlists. My old phone is an iphone 4s and I just bought an Iphone 6. I also have a macbook where I keep my itunes account, but I create all my playlists on my phone. I need to transfer those playlists from my old iphone into itunes in my computer so that I can then add them to my new iphone 6. However, none of the playlists on my iphone appear when I connect to my macbook. I have read other threads where the suggestion was to attach the old phone to itunes, find the phone in itunes and click the little arrow to the left to show the playlists. Then right click on the playlist and export it, saving it to the desktop, to then import it into itunes. However, in my case, the playlists do not show up when the phone is connected to itunes. I have clicked on the little arrow and all I get is "music", "purchased", etc., but none of my playlists. I'm sure some years back I probably deleted something in my itunes library and now none of my playlists show. Please help me. I would hate to have to recreate all of my playlists. Thank you!
I know it sounds weird, and that is the reason I posted my question. Because my case is not like all the ones I've found online and it's confusing. I added a screen capture of my itunes with my old iphone (the one that houses my playlists) connected to it.
My playlists "ARE" in my iphone 4s. They are still there even though they do not show up when I plug in to itunes in my computer.
When connecting my phone to itunes on my macbook, the playlists do not appear anywhere in itunes. I have found my connected iphone icon, I have clicked on the arrow next to it and it does pull up the standard lists that come with the iphone/itunes: Music, Movies, TV shows, books. That's it! below that is "Genius" and below "Geniuns" is "PLAYLISTS" but the only playlist of mine that shows there is one that I created several years back titled "90's music" and that one I created it on my computer, not my phone. Under "90's music" there are also other standard playlists that itunes automatically adds.
Does anyone else have this issue or know how to get around this. I am starting to think that I am going to have to recreate these lists on my computer -
Service Pack 3 appears to have broken the Report Builder click once installation
We are running SQL Server reporting services on SQL Server 2008 R2. Recently we installed the service pack 3 and we now get the following error when a user clicks the Report Builder link:

I'm at a bit of a loss of what to do since all recommended solutions I've found are for installing the latest service pack or cumulative update (from threads several years old). By installing service pack 3 we are at the latest upgrade path for 2008
R2 and ironically enough, this is what appears to have broken the click once installer.Hi Matt,
This is an known issue in SSRS 2008 R2 SP3. For this issue, Microsoft has published an article addressing this issue. It is not planning to release a fix for this defect. But there's workarounds for this issue. Please refer to the link below:

i have moved from an iphone 4 to iphone 5 and have done a back up of my iphone 4 and restored this back up to the iphone 5, but the apps do not appear to have come across. Have I done something wrong? Please can someone tell me how to move my apps across?
After you Restore from backup, sync the iPhone.

Is there any way to actually delete messages from my iPhone? I have already synced my iPhone, updated it, and deleted all of my backups but the messages I have "deleted" still appear in the spotlight search.

I have an Iphone 4, I have music files that appear on my phone that I want to delete, when I link it to my computer the songs on the phone will not appear in Itunes so I can delete them, Is there any way to delete these song off the phone without going through Itunes?
Nope, it either needs to be plugged in or turned on with the power button.
A replacement iPhone 4 is $149, but at least the whole phone is replaced. -
I connected my iPad and iPhone to sync just now and got the message, "The iTunes Library cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred (-54)." What does this mean? I clicked "OK" and the sync appears to have worked properly. Thanks - dalebird (MacBook Pro, g4 17in)

I have broken my screen and cannot access my iphone. I have an icloud account which I have used to back up my phone previously but nothing is showing on the website in contacts etc. As I can enter my pin I cannot connect it to a laptop. Is there anyway of backinh up my data, pictures etc?
No there isn't. If you check iCloud, you are not showing any backups at all? Did you have the phone set to sync contacts in iCloud, or were you just backing up to iCloud? If you were just backing up, then you should be able to access the backup, but if you were not syncing, then you probably cannot see the contacts in iCloud. You would have to wait until you restore from the backup to see them. You will probably have to go onto the iCloud website to erase and remove the device from Find My iPhone if you want to clear it off.

i have a broken desktop which had my itunes account on it.
I am trying to get the information onto a new laptop and itunes programme but cannot. I have only managed to copy over some of my music as i had it on an external drive.
I also cannot get my iphone 5 to be recognized on the new itunes.
HELPiTunes as you see it in the application window uses a series of files and folders contained in the iTunes folder. Some people make the mistake of only backing up their media in which case all you have is a bunch of media files without the iTunes structure. In that case you have to build a new library yourself.
What exactly do you mean "not recognized"? The phone does not show up on the computer at all, or it does but it says it will wipe the phone? The wipe the phone stuff is again because it cannot find the original library to which it was synced. You need to transfer the entire iTunes folder from the old computer or the backup you made of it.

I need a calendar for my iPhone 4s which shows 'every 4th Saturday'or 'every 2nd Tuesday', etc., which unlike the Android caledar, the Apple one doesn't have. I've looked at others on the App Store, none of which appear to have this particular ability. Any ideas?
You can do this in iCloud calendars, actually. You just can't do it directly on the device. But, if you go to icloud.com & edit the calendar event, you can select "Custom" from the dropdown for Repeat & it will let you put in "every 4 wks on saturday" or even "every 28 days." But, again, you'd have to be using iCloud & you can only do this on the website.

Only some of the photos I have taken on my iPhone appear in the photo stream on my iPad even thou they were taken at the same time. Why is this and how can I import the other photos from my iPhone to my iPad?
If older photos are missing it may be because photo stream photos are only held in iCloud for 30 days. After that they are removed from iCloud but will remain (up to 1000 photos) on your device until deleted. Also, only photos taken after enabling photo stream are added to your photo stream, and only when the camera is closed, your device is connected to wifi and you have at least 20% battery life remaining.
To transfer the missing photos you can either create a shared photo stream containing them and invite yourself to it (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99), import the photos to your computer and sync them to your iPad, or use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your iPad over wifi.
