My iphone associated with wrong apple ID

My wife and I started our Mac associations with a 3G and a 3GS repsectively.  We started off syncing to separate computers in separate geographic loacations. At some point, we decided that sharing the apps we purchased would be easier if we both synced at the same PC.  As we merged our Mac accumulations I found myself asked more frequently for her credentials.  Never was a big deal.  Fast forward... We recently purchased two 4S's. We use apps tagged to both our AppleID's.  Her's thinks it belongs to her, but I somehow have found that mine is associated with her apple ID and apparently associating itself with an iCloud account that is labeled as hers.  We each have  "me.com" designations set up, but don't really understand what they imply.  How can I get my phone to associate with an iCloud in my name labeled with my name and credentials?  Is this even important?
Thanks,
Lance

You can try going into your settings - app store - log out - then log back in with your credentials.

  • If I no longer have access to my original e-mail associated with my account and my passwords and e-mail accounts associated with my Apple device, how can I fix this solution? I have 2 ipads and 1 iphone and I cannot update any of my apps.

I tried to change the e-mail associated with my apple account because my school was closing and I knew I would no longer have accss to that e-mail account, however now all 3 of my devices ( 2 ipads & 1 iphone are screwed up as far as the e-mail accounts associated with each device and the passwords. I have tried all the on-line support/suggestions and took my devices to a local Apple store and no one/nothing helps.

  • IPhone Already Associated With an Apple ID

    Dear all,
I recently bought a used iPhone 4S via ebay. Backed up my old iPhone 4 and installed the Backup on the new 4S. Everything fine but when I turn on my iTunes Match switch I get the following error message:
"This Device Is Already Associated With an Apple ID"
"If you turn on Automatic Downloads with your Apple ID, you cannot auto-download or download past purchases with a different Apple ID for 90 days."
Now I do not really understand the meaning of this message: Which IDs are meant in this message?
Can this problem be solved by the ebay seller by disconnecting his device in his iTunes? What will happen with which Apple ID if I click on the "Transfer" button?
Will his iTunes Match account be deactivated for 90 days or mine? ???
    Very confusing message...

    Hello Christof_DE,
This message just indicates that, once you sign into your Apple ID, you won't be able to sign into a different Apple ID on this same device for 90 days. If you intend only on using your Apple ID, there should be no noticeable effect.

    Hi corbi111,
Welcome to the Support Communities!  The resource below will explain the alert you are seeing.

When you turn on iTunes Match, Family Sharing, or Automatic Downloads, or when you download past purchases on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, that device becomes associated with your Apple ID. You can associate your Apple ID with up to 10 devices, with a maximum of 5 computers at any time. Each computer must also be authorized using the same Apple ID. You don't need to authorize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
After you associate a device with your Apple ID, you can't associate that device with another Apple ID for 90 days.See your associated devices
You can see the devices associated with your Apple ID in iTunes on your Mac or PC:
Click to open your account in iTunes, or use these steps:
Open iTunes, choose Store > Sign In, then enter your Apple ID and password.
    Choose Store > View Account.
Click Manage Devices in the iTunes in the Cloud section. If you haven't associated any devices with your Apple ID, you won't see the Manage Devices section.
Next to each device, you can see when it associated with your Apple ID. You can also track how many days remain before you can associate your device with a different Apple ID.Remove an associated device
To remove a device or computer from your Apple ID:
Click to open your account in iTunes, or use these steps:
Open iTunes, choose Store > Sign In, then enter your Apple ID and password.
    Choose Store > View Account.
Click Manage Devices in the iTunes in the Cloud section.
Click Remove next to the device that you want to remove.
When you remove your Apple ID from a device, the 90-day limit stays in place on that device. But you can associate your Apple ID to another device that doesn't have the 90-day limit. Depending on when you associated the device, you might need to wait to associate it to a new Apple ID.

(Note, mine says 28 days because I have been waiting for a fair bit for this to go away.)

You can't keep changing the ID you use with iTunes, you are limited to once every 90 days.

  • HT204053 I no longer have the e-mail address associated with the apple ID for iCloud.  The password I have written for that account is deemed wrong, as is the security information (i.e. my birthdate).  How do I eliminate this incorrect account and start a

I no longer have the e-mail address associated with an Apple ID.  I do not know the password for that account, nor are the security questions correct (e.g. it asked my birth date, but, when I listed it, I was told it was not correct).  I have no way to get into the program, to correct an information.  How do I delete this account and start anew?

If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  You can now go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your correct iCloud ID and password.
If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to have them reset the password so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account.  You can either go to https://expresslane.apple.com, select "More Products and Services", then "Apple ID", then  on the next page select "Other Apple ID Topics", then "Lost or forgotten Apple ID password" and click "Continue"; or you can contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/).

  • Restored iPhone, signed in with wrong apple ID & can't use iTunes Match for 33 days!!u

    Hi,
When I connected my iPhone 5 to itunes it said it couldn't read the device and I had to restore it.
After I did this I signed in with my primary Apple ID, that I use for iCloud,  Mail, iMessage, Photo Stream etc. However most of my purchases & iTunes Match have been made on another Apple ID (that I used before iCloud was introduced)
Now when I try and turn on iTunes match using this ID I get a message saying:
"This device is already associated with an Apple ID. You can use iTunes Match on this device with just one apple ID every 90 days.  This device can be used with another Apple ID in 33 days"
This is very very frustrating as I didn't realise what I had done when signing into the iPhone. I have sent a message to Apple to see if they can reset this before the 33 days so I can sign in with the correct ID for match.
Anyone else had a similiar problem? I hope that there will be away in future of merging ID's so that this problem doesn't happen - I'm sure it's very common!
    Thanks
    Steven

Yes, I did as you suggested and signed into the iTunes store with the Apple ID I use for purchases and iTunes Match.
When I attempt to turn on iTunes match I am given the following message:
"This device is already associated with an Apple ID. You can use iTunes Match on this device with just one apple ID every 90 days.  This device can be used with another Apple ID in 33 days"
I believe this happened after I restored my iPhone5(as requested by iTunes) and logged back into the device with the incorrect ID, which was then set up to use for iTunes & App Store Purchases.
When I then logged out of this ID and tried to use the correct ID, it was then that I received the message saying I cannot use it!
If you think there is something else I can do to resolve this then please let me know.
However, I have sent an email to Apple explaining what has happened.  If they have good procedures in place, they should be able to see my iTunes account(s) and the devices associated with it.  Remove the iPhone from the Apple ID that is is currently assocaited with and then I will be able to associate with the correct ID.
    It seems very straight forward!

  • I need to restore the backup but my AppleID and password is not working. The message says "The password you entered to unlock your iPhone was incorrect." I know I am using the right password associated with my Apple ID.

I need to restore the backup to my iphone 3gs but the password associated with my Apple ID. It says the password I entered is not correct. Should i be putting in my Apple ID password or would it be a different password to unlock the backup.

I believe it is asking for the passcode you use for the screen lock on the phone.

  • The Calendar app is showing a calendar from an iPhone that is no longer associated with my Apple ID or iCloud ID, why is it doing that and why can't I remove it?

I just bought a MacBook Pro and am having some problems with the calendar and contacts list, and my problem could be causing other issues that I am not aware of. So, this is what's happening:
I had two iPhone5s associated with my Apple ID for a while. When I got this MacBook, and learned of Family Sharing, I decided that it would be better for each user to have their own unique ID. So, I have deleted and set up a new Apple ID and iCloud ID on the phone I want separated from MY Apple ID and iCloud. I want the computer to be associated with MY IDs, not the other phone. However, the computer still thinks the two phones are one in the same, despite the other phone being removed from both accounts and being registered with different IDs. Things I have noticed: The calendar on the computer still has the old phones calendar and still has all of the old phones contacts. When I went to use FaceTime and iMessage, the old phone number still shows up as an option. The old phone is still connected to something, somewhere, but I can't figure it out. My data, contacts, and calendars also show up, both phones show up all over the computer and I only want ONE phone, MY phone to show up.
    Things I have tried:
Deleting the accounts from iCloud & iTunes
    Updating the OS
    Rebooting, phones and computer
Logging out and logging back in
Creating a new user account on the computer
Probably several other things I'm just not remembering because it's 4 am and I've been doing this since 11:30 pm and am completely exhausted.
I've literally been Googling and browsing this forum for hours and trying everything I see, but nothing is working. The computer still thinks it's connected to the old phone. It's making me crazy because the user has literally 39 alarms every single day reminding her to do different things. It makes me absolutely crazy because the notifications are popping up on the computer. PLEASE, HELP ME!

  • When sending a calendar invite to any email address (regardless of provider) that is associated with an Apple ID will not get the invite. Any email address not associated with Apple ID will. Why? Using iOS 6.0.1, iPad, iPhone and PC.

I have sent an invite to an email associated to an Apple ID and that email never received the invite. I then changed the email associated with the receiving Apple ID to something new and removed the original email address (the original email address is no longer associated with any apple ID even as the alternate). I then cancelled the first appointment, created a new appointment and again invited the original email address. That original email address then received the canceled appointment notification and the new appointment invite. This problem is not just with my Apple ID (sending or receiving) but several other people that have tested sending iCloud invites to other Apple ID users. Any thoughts?

  • HT204053 "This Device already associated with an apple ID" message is making me crazy. Can you help?

    Hi,
I have a new Iphone, a 4s, that I was given to me by my employer.  It replaces my old one, my personal phone, that I gave to my daughter.  Everything worked well until I turned  ITunes Match "OFF" because I was traveling overseas and didn't want to download songs using expensive data connections.  When I turned it back on, I saw:  "This device is already associated with an Apple ID."  Then it tells me that I have to wait 90 days to download my library.  I am now on Day 64 and counting...but I want to see if I have done something wrong that is making this happen, and rectify it.
    Any suggestions?
    Many thanks.

For anyone else having a similar issue, I contacted Apple and they instantly resolved the problem. Great service, as always.

  • How do I deauthorize all computers associated with my Apple ID?

    Hi all,
First post on Apple Support Communities :-)
When I bought my first Apple product (iPad 2) a few months ago, I didn't know anything about Apple IDs, iTunes Store, Home Sharing and Computer authorizations. I experimented a little with iTunes and home sharing in VMware virtual machines (Windows 7) on my computer (Ubuntu). I quickly used up the 5 authorized computers, so I used the "Deauthorize all computers associated with your Apple ID" feature in iTunes and kept on experimenting (since I couldn't get things to work properly in my virtual environment).
Now I have an iPhone 4S and my daughter has an iPod Touch 4G, and I'm planning on buying the new Apple TV. But I'm not going to because I can't have Home Sharing. I can't "clean" the authorized computers because I did it a few months ago and it is only permitted once a year.
It is possible to request an exception (and how?) and have the authorized computers cleaned up?
    Thanks a lot
    Sebastien

If you can't deauthorize systems just by the "deauthorize" command under the Store menu in iTunes, then go here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the problem to the iTunes Store. They may be willing to clear your authorizations for you.
    Regards.
