My iPhone automatically recovers some deleted images after iOS update

Some months back I deleted few images off my iPhone. I understand that photo stream was 'On'. I noticed that my iPhone was recovering the images now and then. I put 'Off' all the sharing services, photo streams etc etc still my iPhone recovers these images after an iOS update. These are some sensitive photos and I would be in big trouble if this continues.

What exactly have you tried?
What happens when you try those things?
What is the exact wording of any error messages received?

by "using itunes to remove the photos" do you mean syncing an empty folder?
No. With your phone connected, itunes running, just un-check all the photos/albums, currently on your phone, under the photos tab in itunes. Hit the apply/sync button. This will remove all the photos currently synced to your phone. Once complete, just sync them back.

a large iOS update requires you to restore from your backup. If you did the update through iTunes, it should've automatically created a backup, so just plug it in and restore

Hi my iphone 4 won't switch on pretty well first use after latest update.
I have tried numerous button pressing configurations and times as suggested on other forums but still no luck...any ideas?

Hold down Power on/off and home button at same time, when apple logo appears again release.
If still have same problem force recovery mode restore with iTunes, set up as new first making sure phone goes to home screen.
If all good - restore from back up

I was unaware of the OS X 10.6.2 issue with sycning. My iMac has been updated to OS X 10.8. Is there anything in the works to address the sycning issue in 10.6.2 that you know of? There was another upadate of the iOS and here I am again. That's the third not the second time actually and it always happend after iOS update. Today I decided to upgrade my iOS 6.1 to 6.1.1. and my iPhone got stuck. Recently, after some 10 hours of trying to follow all the procedures from the Apple web site - I got it fixed. But this time - it's been already more than 30 hrs. I have tried everything so I am angry, tired and frustrated. Any advices?

I have tried the above fix and iTunes crashes giving error 27 after trying to load the iPhone firmware.
I have booted my phone in DFU mode and this has made no difference.
My mac is up to date.
My iTunes is up to date.
All i tried to do was update my ios as i have been unable to make calls or send text's all day.
Do you have any other suggestions as my phone is no good to me now.

Iphone 4s sluggish on-off switch after iOS 7.0.3 update?

Generally, a light push on the top right button will turn my iPhone on or off. Right after I updated to 7.0.3 the button takes 2-3 clicks, and sometimes requires holding down for a second before it will turn off. It is even harder to turn on. Sometimes, a simple push does still work, but not very often. Anyone else having this problem? I know I can push the bottom round (Home?) button to turn phone on, but I have always used the top button and now concerns me that I don't have normal access to my phone.

I did resolve it. I did the reset while the phone was plugged into my computer at home (holding down the home button and power button at the same time, until it shuts down and reboots). It took a few tries but eventually it showed the icon of the plug going into the icon for iTunes. From iTunes, I did a restore from an older backup, and then reinstalled the update from the computer. Now it works just fine. I wonder if maybe the update was just too hefty to pull down via the cellular network.
If you never did a backup of your phone to iTunes or the cloud, then you'll likely have to do a restore to factory conditions and then do the update. Incovenient, but better than a paperweight

This did not help the problem. History of problems that started 3 days ago before 6.1 update:
Problems started with the phone dropping a call I was on. Then the screen had lines across it, then screen turned solid green.
Powered off the iphone.
Happened again 4 hours later. Dropped call then garbed screen. Powered off then back on all seemed okay.
Applyed 6.1 yesterday in the morning. Phoned died completely last night. Plugged in over night and it came back up this morning.
Phone is still within 1 year warranty. Should I just have Apple replace the phone (Warranty runs out in 2 weeks)

P.S. I just noticed; when I hold the power and home button at the same time while it's plugged in as if I was going to restart it, my computer acts as if I'd plugged it in again (it makes the USB notification sound, itunes opens up again, I get the same "your iphone is in recovery mode" message, etc.), but that's the only response I've been able to get from pressing anything on the iphone. thanks again.

Can you try to connect to another computer?
DFU mode would be the last thing to try before contacting Apple Support or visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple Store.
