My iphone backup on icloud is gone, I can only find my ipad backup
Ok, so I have an old iphone 3GS, my daughter has an ipad mini. We are both using the same apple ID and it is causing me no end of grief. Most recently, my phone is currently doing a constant cycle between the boot screen and the lock screen. I have no itunes backup available for if I restore my phone, and I don't want to lose all my photos especially. My last icloud backup was a couple of months ago, but if I go to icloud, I can only find the backups from my daughter's ipad, nothing from my iphone. Please help!! I don't want to lose all my pics of my new baby girl!!!
Do you use PhotoStream? If so, the photos might be there. I hate to tell you but your data on the phone may already be gone and a restore may be your only option at this point. This is why regular backups are so important. You can try a reset of the device to try & get it stabilized: hold down the power & home buttons until the Apple logo shows, then let go.

If you create an Apple ID for your daughter, signing out of the existing Apple ID with the iTunes & App Store on her iPhone will not change anything on your iPhone.
All apps include DRM protection which is tied to the Apple ID that was used to download the apps.
If she starts using her Apple ID to download apps, when there is an app update for an app on her iPhone that was downloaded with the current shared Apple ID, she will need to use that Apple ID and password to download the app updates. -
Where can I find an iPad backup file in Time Machine?
I want to restore my iPad from a backup. I know how to do this, and have already done it before.
However, this time I would like to find a backup that is stored in Time Machine. So, two questions:
1) can I even do this?
2) if I can, then do you know where iTunes keeps the backup files for iPad's in OS X Lion? I would assume that I should be able to locate the backup file, copy it to my current day Mac and then restore the iPad using that file, no?
In previous OS versions the backups used to be in: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
However I have searched my whole machine and can't find a single folder that is called MobileSync. It is not hidden, nor in ~Library, nor in the USER\XXX\Library, nor anywhere.
Thank you,That path is still correct - at least it is on my system - but unless you had Library brought out into a place where it could be found, in the Sidebar for instance, I don't know how you'd get into it in Time Machine. Try this, though: access the user's Library folder via the Go To Folder command, then drag the Library folder into the sidebar. Then run Time Machine and see if the Library folder persists in the TM interface. If it does, you should then be able to navigate into Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/ and find and restore the backup folder.

New iPhone 5 can't find any Bluetooth devices. I have reset the network settings without any luck. I have an iPad which can't find the iPhone but can find my old Nokia phone on Bluetooth. I want to use Bluetooth with my hearing aids, which work fine with the Nokia.
In terms of what is happening, when I turn on Bluetooth, I get "searching" under the devices section but no devices are found. Grey Bluetooth icon beside battery life icon.

Is the old profile hidden somewhere on my computer? Or is it gone forever?
I am using Vista. The computer is about to die (keeps making clicking sounds) along with losing my firefox profile, it forgot how to find all my docs and pics but I was able to recover them by doing a system wide search. Odd thing is, the computer can still locate all of my husbands information even though he also had stuff running when it crashed.Do you still see any profile folders with a random name in this location?

The "Application Data" folder in XP/Win2K and the "AppData" folder in Windows Vista and later Windows 7+ versions are hidden folders.

Try to delete the profiles.ini file (if it is still there) to force Firefox to create a new default profile.

So I was a little skeptical about deleting photos from my iPhone but I did. Shouldn't I be able to access them on iCloud? Because I can't find a way to view all my old photos that were backed up before I deleted them.
No you can not access yoru photos on iCloud
PhotoStream is a way to share photos between devices - it is not a way to backup photos or to view photos

I have been backing up my iPhone and iPad through the iCloud.
Recently my iPhone 4 was stolen but had recently been backed up. I am trying to find the Notes on that iPhone through the icloud.com.
When I go onto icloud.com, I can only see the iPad Notes - not the iPhone Notes.
Can anyone help?

GWere both devices sync'ing their notes to iCloud? Or was one set to sync, and the other just to backup?
If you look in settings -> iCloud you needed to have the slider by Notes "ON" for both devices if you wanted to sync notes between both of them and iCloud. In that case, notes on each would be identical, and the same as you can view in the Notes app on www.iCloud.com
If you had the Notes slider "OFF" and the iCloud Backup option "ON" then your notes should be in your backup and restoreable, but you will not see them online in the Notes app there. -
I have activated iCloud on iPad2 and iPhone4S (both on iOS 7) using the same Apple ID and signed into 'Find my iPhone' still my iphone is not visible in my devices. I can only see my iPad.
On your iPhone, try toggling Find My iPhone off, then back on after a few seconds.

how can i find an older backup file? i backed up my phone before resetting my iphone to factory but then when i went to set it up as a new phone it backed it up again! so now ive lost everything i had before cos the only backup file i have now is the one after the reset. is there a way to get my older one

Have you talked to your carrier to confirm the unlock?
What was the procedure you did to unlock the phone?
Standard unlocking procedure once processed by the carrier:
Backup in iTunes
Erase the phone (ignore restore terminology here)
Plug the phone to the computer and then launch iTunes
Wait for unlock notification.
Restore the backup. -

I downloaded an AudioBook from iTunes onto my iPad due to battery life. Now I want to have it on my iPhone which is one of the appliances that is authorized for my iCloud account, but I can't find it anywhere other than the iPad. How do I get access on my iPhone?
It will only be where you put it.
If it is on the ipad then transfer it to your computer, File>Devices>Transfer Purchases, then sync it to your iphone -

Thanks for the reply however this does not help. When I check the cloud it shows that I have only 20 photos. In reality I had a lot more than that. All the photos on the cloud are those that I have taken since I was at the Apple store. When I check cloud storage usage on my phone it says that I have 5.1 GB of photos. This is a lot more than the 20 that I can see. I am not sure what the Apple employee did to my phone.
Still looking for answers. It is really too bad that I can not talk to an Apple person to get help since they messed up my phone. -
I am trying to back up and sync my iPhone 4 and it keeps telling me the iPhone is refusing the request to back up on the latest back up date that I want to use. I can only use an older backup that is not recent. Anyone know what is up?
Have you downloaded and installed an App Store app that you downloaded free from some website instead of from the App Store? If so, that's a stolen app, and you need to delete it.

Have a disabled iPad2 that's been wiped. Using current IOS system. Trying to backup from icloud. Enter username and password - OK. Select backup date - OK. I'm then presented with an old username that of course doesn't match my password. Now what?
