Rite now, i have been just clicking on the export to quicktime function, but the quality of the footage is completely reduced and colours look desaturated and there is pixellation compared to the original camera footage. Also is there anyway i can render and export the sequence using the original footage (like an online edit or something). Also is there anyway to upgrade the final quality. I have Compressor, Dvd Studio pro, Motion, Color and Cinema tools, i dnt know if they are of any use to me and have no idea how to use hem or what they are for also.

The best way to export is entirely dependent on what you plan to do with the exported video. For example, if you plan to go to DVD, the export process is different than if you plan for web delivery or for iPhone viewing. Compressor has presets for most final delivery formats ... start with those.

Yes. In FCP, go to File-Export->QuickTime Movie. Check the box to make the movie Self-Contained and use Current Settings. Do NOT "Recompress All Frames." The resulting self-contained movie will play on any Mac that has the needed audio and video codecs installed.

No and maybe. While you technically cannot improve quality over the original, you can possibly 'enhance' the aesthetic quality of the video using various filters in FCP or Color.

Since they occur on different days, organizing by event does not seem appropriate. Also, organizing by face is not always possible as some are close up photos of an individual eye. Surely, this has been done before, and I don't want to spin my wheels reinventing this.

Who can tell with that amount of information to work with?
iPhoto is not limited to Events or Faces as organizational tools - Albums, Keywords, various forms of metadata can be leveraged for use as well, and these are often more flexible. Really it's up to you to look at the tools available and see if they suit your usage scenario.

The answer depends on whether the AirPort Extreme is your main router....or...the Linksys device is your main router.
In either case, the two devices must connect together using a wired Ethernet connection using CAT5e or CAT6 cabling.
Any version of the AirPort Extreme produced within the last 5 years will have Gigabit Ethernet ports. In order to get the same speeds from the Linksys router, it will also need to be Gigabit Ethernet capable.
If you need additional Ethernet ports, you will need to add a Gigabit Ethernet switch to either the AirPort Extreme or Linksys router.
It is assumed that your other devices connecting to the AirPort Extreme and Linksys router will also have Gigabit Ethernet capability.
Not sure why you mention "ac" speeds in your post. This relates to wireless connections, not wired.

Agreed. Mine went through the washer and appeared dead. These steps saved it but you must be patient and let it stay in the rice for the week. Very hard to do! Mine was fine functionally after that though the screen was blotched. The screen blotching cleared up after a week and then good as new!

Why jpeg file exported from Aperture with 300 dpi's it opens with 72 dpi's on PS ( image size)? I've tried several combinations and all give different results. And I am confused on what is the best workflow for me.

Ok.
My workflow is
RAW > Aperture Library > export jpeg high resolution 300 dpi's > one file on PS > edit > Save us jpeg. The I realised that files from PS were being save in a smaller size from the ones exported form Aperture. That is when I went o see <image size> on PS and files were with 72.
Since ten I've trying different things
1. Aperture > export as PSD > open on PS > edit > Save us jpeg = small file (around 15 MB)
2. Aperture > export as jpeg high resolution 300 dpi's > open on PS > CHANGE dpi's to 300 on <image size> edit > Save us jpeg = big file (Huge, actually)
What am I doing wrong? Would someone give me guidance and tell me what is the best workflow, considering I edit photos to deliver to my clients and I shall give them 300 dpi's.

Iphone 4 powers on at mains, but shuts off when connected the computer

Good Morning,
I have an iphone 4 that has been dropped, and the screen broken, the buttons and screen still works however. The phone will power on when on the mains, but when it comes on the network just searches, the wifi option is greyed out, and the bluetooth option just searches when selected. Everything else works on the phone but If you remove it from the mains the phone dies instanlty.
If I connect it to a laptop then the charging battary symbol comes up, and eventually the apple logo follows but it then promptly dies as if the charge were being pulled. The comptur does not show the phone in the driver list, nor does itunes pick it up while connected. I have tried uninstalling itunes to see if it is that programme that is diverting the power from the phone, but it had no effect.
I have tried holding the top and middle button on the phone to do a reset, and it goes to the apple logo, but then the phone just comes back on as mentioned above. I have also tried putting another sim card in the phone to see if it is that that is damaged, but again no joy.
Now I am not trying to salvage the phone, I just want it to connect to some form of data transfer so that I can salvage as much as I can off the phone, then it can be binned.
The only thing I can think of doing now is taking the phone apart and possibly trying a battary out of another phone, to see if that will hold its power long enough to connect to a laptop?
Can anyone think of anything I havent tried?
Any help appriciated.

No it does not work. As you clearly stated, the device has been dropped and the screen is broken. It is damaged. Replace the device.
Also, ignore ewde1 as they seems to have no clue how to follow the Terms of Use of these forums or what they truly speak of.

What's the best way to create and edit a PDF where the source document is also a PDF?

To be specific, we are in the process of upgrading our A/P processes and we have received a user manual from the company we contracted for the upgrade. I've been tasked with customizing this manual for my company's specific processes (this is with the permission).
What is the best course of action to accomplish this? I thought I should save a copy of the manual, and then modify each page as necessary. I will be adding and deleting text and graphics. I have never used Acrobat before, but consider myself a quick study.
Any suggestions wil be greatly appreciated.

When Acrobat saves to Word 97-2003 format, it actually writes a Rich Text Format file - the binary .DOC format used by Word is a closed standard. The .DOCX format is just XML, and neither export process cares if you have Office installed or not. In theory, OpenOffice can read both types of file; but there does tend to be some minor difference between how OO arranges things and how MS Word does it.
The critical thing is that if the PDF file has structure tags (i.e. it's accessible), Acrobat can flow the content properly in the exported file and can identify things as headers, quotes, lists, tables, etc. If not, it has to guess what the reading order is based on where things are on the page, and it will often get confused by intricate layouts, spanned columns, etc. There are of course some things (such as Word Art) which don't survive the trip to PDF and back, and will show as an image.
