i tried to put off my iphone 4 16Go , but it doesn't work. On the screen stay the picture like if it was searching , it's blocked...

Possible causes:
1. Your antivirus is blocking access to gs.apple.com.
2. Your phone is jailbroken.
3. Your computer has been used at some time in the past to jaibreak some iOS device (not necessarily the phone with the problem), and its network database was corrupted by the hacking software that was used.
4. Apple's activation servers are down (very rare, and never for more than an hour or so).
For 1. try disabling your antivirus.
For 2. & 3. you need to go somewhere other than an apple forum for help. Although you can try deleting lines containing gs.apple.com from your "hosts" file on your computer. -
IPhone, can not get it out of Auto-lock
On occasions once my 3g Iphone has gone into autolock I am unable to use the phone again. I can not get it out of auto lock, I have tried restarting but it maskes no difference.
I often have to ring it from another phone to bring the Iphone back to life, which is rather annoying and I am not always by another avaliable phone.

Open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer, hold both Home and Power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, then release the Power button, keep holding the Home button, for about 20 seconds until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Then click the Restore button of iTunes.

after restoring the iPhone, the iPhone can not get the high resolution photo from album of iCloud, unless re-share all the photo to the iCloud.
If you plug up both to computer, open itunes, click "back up to computer" on both (not necessary for the one that's being transferred to) then on the one that's sending data click "back up" in the iTunes menu. It will then back up (if not already done in sync). Now plug up the second one (being transferred to) and on the iTunes menu, click "restore from backup" then choose the device you just backed up, and click "ok" or what it says.

"MyComputer" will not recognize iPhone. Can not get photos off iPhone.
I can not get the iPhone to pop-up in the "My Computer" window as a camera or device. Adobe Photoshop Album nor any other program will see iPhone as a device. So, I cannot access and down load the photos I have taken with my iPhone. I have tried unpluging and replugging the USB cable and all I get is a bing-bong sound. I'm also one of those that can not sync with Outlook 2003. I don't know if the problems are related, but I'm sure waisting alot of time trying to get this thing working the way I hoped it would. Any ideas?
Dell Windows XPI have a Mac with iPhoto and it "just works".
Here is how it works on the Mac. Plug in iPhone. iPhoto opens and offers to download photos from iPhone to Mac. Asks whether you want photos deleted off the camera. Lets you name the roll. Asks if you want to download duplicates.
Then iTunes takes over and does a sync.
I know you don't have a Mac, but my best advice would be...have Adobe Photoshop and iTunes both open, and do a sync. -
All- I get this message ("iPhone can not make or receive calls. Restore from iTunes" (happend once while on airplain mode and now once while in wifi only area, out of cell range)). iPhone 4. Newest OS. Never happened with old OS! Cycling phone on/off does not help. Ignoring message causes phone to cycle off then on. After first time this happened, I restored. Six days later...same problem! Clearly a new fix is necessary. Suggestions?
I have not tried that...I will look up the process so that I can do it correctly (and still transfer all of my files, contacts, etc). Any suggestions? What is the advantage of restoring as a new device..is this more akin to a complete wipe of a hard drive?

Old ipod, can not get it to connect with itunes & i no longer have the computer it was once synced to. It will not allow me to do anything but turn it off & on.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -

I have an old cloud e mail address stuck on my iphone - wants a password to delete it and I have no clue what that may be.
the old e mail account no longer works so even if I could find a PW reset I can not get the details e mailed.
I just want it off my phone so I can upload my actual cloud account

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I understand that your iPhone is showing an email address signed in to the iCloud that you know longer use. There may be a few different steps to take in this situation to get this resolved. The steps include trying your current Apple ID password with the incorrect account, signing out and back in to iMessage and/or FaceTime, and possibly editing your current Apple ID back to the old one so you can delete the account. I used the wrong password to join my new belkin wifi. Now that I have the correct password, I can not get the to the join screen with the space to type in the password. I continue to get the unable to join message. I have put the touch to sleep and I have turned on and off the wifi and join options on the Network screen page. Does anyone know how to get pass this block of the wrong password to a new page that will allow me to type in the correct password. I see there is a option that asks if I want to reset the network settings.. is that what I should do? and what does it erase when I do that? Thanks for any input anyone has.

please help :-(That's Activation Lock. You will need to remember the Apple ID and password you used to set up the phone.
If you can't remember them, you can go to iforgot.apple.com to try to recover the information.
If you are the original owner of the phone & have proof of purchase, you can try calling Apple to see if they can assist also.

hi, I have about 20,000 pictures in iphoto. i own a WD external harddrive and it hates me (i dont think it has backed up any of my photos) it is also really confusing. i need online storage. any recommendation? or another external hardrive that is ac
