  • How do I set my iPhone 3G to sync automatically when connected to my computer?

How do I set my iPhone 3G to sync automatically when connected to my computer? The button to "Open iTunes when this iPhone is connected" is checked, and iTunes opens automatically, but it no longer syncs automatically as it did before the last update.  Now I have to hit the "Sync" button each time; much less convenient as I have to frequently update my calendar.

On my iTunes at the top menu, in the Edit drop down menu, at the bottom is Preferences, click that, then pick icon Devices. Then in the middle there are check boxes, one has Prevent ipods,iPhones, ipads from syncing automatically. Try to leave this box empty. See if this helps.

  • IPhone screen stuck on Apple logo, iPhone cancels sync in iTunes

I noticed the volume indicator read "headphones" when the headphones were no longer plugged in. Then it all got worse from there. I have read many posts and tried many things multiple times but can not get the phone to work. The black screen w/ the logo is stuck. I can get the picture on the screen of the plug & iTunes icon (for connecting to iTunes v9), but that soon leaves and returns the logo screen. When I connect to iTunes a message appears "recovery mode detected must restore" which I try to do (I get all the common messages, extracting, preparing, waiting, restoring, verifying, restoring firmware, iphone has been restored to factory settings). But when I get to the "Set Up Your iPhone" page and attempt to restore from any recent backups I get error messages that go something like this: Attempting to copy to the disk "iPhone" failed. The device is not connected.; not sync iPhone canceled sync; could not sync contacts iPhone canceled sync; could not sync cannot read or write to disk. Also note, that little circle of status bars goes around and around (on the screen w/ the logo) at times but nothing happens. Any suggestions before I trek an hour to the Apple store?

Strange looks from the Genius at the Apple store when explaining my problem. He looked at the terminals with what looked like a otoscope and said the moisture sensors were activated (the 2 visible w/out taking phone apart, in each terminal jack, headphone & charger). Then he went in the back room to take phone apart to see if the internal sensor was activated. It was not, therefore my phone was covered by warranty and it was replaced at no cost other than my time and gas. I JUST WANT TO SAY my phone has never been around water. These phones need to be better designed (i.e., use gold plated terminals) to handle humidity from your pocket, from being in a bathroom when you shower, from moving from cold enviroment to hot, etc. This is my 4th iPhone in less then 2 years. I like to talk my Apple products up to my pc freinds but when I have issues like this they stick it to me.

  • I just switched from iphone 4s to LG G3. I'm having issues with bluetooth in my car, iphone would sync automatically but with G3 I have to manually connect to my car's bluetooth every time I turn it on - it won't sync automatically. Any fixes?

You can turn on BT tethering but it disables Wifi so if I have to do that step every time I get in my car, I just as well manually connect on BT every time.

  • My ipad is no longer syncing automatically when I connect to my macbook pro.  Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

I've had an ipad since late December 2010.
In the past, it has always automatically synced when I connect it to my macbook pro.
Now, when i connect it...nothing happens.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

The first thing to do is to launch iTunes on your Mac. Go to Preferences - under the iTunes heading in the menu at the top. Click on Devices. Make sure that you uncheck the box next to - Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. Quit iTunes and restart your Mac.
Connect your iPad to the Mac and launch iTunes. Select your iPad under the Devices heading on the left side of iTunes. Then click on the Summary Tab at the top right side of the iTunes window. Put a checkmark (select) in the box next to  - Open iTunes when this iPad is Connected. Make sure that all of the other boxes are checked as you desire according to what you want to sync. Click - Apply - in the lower right corner to sync.
Disconnect your iPad after syncing. Quit iTunes. Then connect your iPad again and iTunes should launch and sync automatically.

  • How do I get calendars on my iMac, iPad and iPhone to sync automatically over wifi?

How do I configure my imac, ipad2 iphone 4s and my wife's ipad2 so that the calendars on all of them will sync automatically?  I would like to have them all update whenever a change is made on any one without having to connect each to the imac and syncing calendars using itunes.  Thanks, Bruce

    That is what iCloud does.
You need to be logged into the same iCloud account on each device, you also need to have calendar syncing enabled on each device in your iCloud settings. Once you have done this, your calendars should sync as you require.

  • My iPhone 4 does not allow me to sync wirelessly when plugged into itunes? How do I fix this? I am running leopard on a macbook pro. Could that be the issue?

I have updated my iphone software to ios5 and everything is working perfectly except for the wireless sync. When I plug my phone into my computer (I'm using a MacBook Pro running leopard) it does not give me the option to check the box in the summary section to sync wirelessly. Can anyone help? Please and thanks

Oh. Gosh.  What's Windows got to do with anything? You're on Leopard, on a Mac.
It seems from other discussions my current OS on my laptop is the reason why it won't sync

  • IPhone cancels sync with new computer

    Hi Everyone,
I have read vast discussions regarding this problem and nothing seems to work. My music shows up in itunes on my computer just fine and plays in itunes just fine as well, but half of it will not sync to my iphone.
I recently purchased a new Macbook Pro and transferred my music from my old PC. It makes it through about 700 of 1100 songs and then says "Cancelling Sync". I have tried to delete the song it stops at and it doesnt work, it just keeps cancelling after a few songs.
What is worse it that hundreds of songs that sync'd fine on my old laptop are not syncing and have the red circle next to them. So it is not just new music that is not syncing. I thought maybe i had downloaded a new song that was the cause of the problem.
The only thing I can think of is that this new iphone and itunes download is the reason. I downloaded both of them before I tried to sync my music for the first time from this computer and all of a sudden my music doesnt sync properly.
I have ios7.1 and 11.1.5 for itunes (both the most current). Judging by the amount of complaints by others this is a huge issue that needs addressed by apple. I am a long time supporter, I have purchased thousands of dollars in apple products, but this is unacceptable to not be fixed by now.
If you have experienced these same problems recently after downloading the current softwares please let me know. It would be great to know that this is a software issue and somehow not my fault. I hate to keep wasting time trying to figure it out.
If you resolved it please share what you did, I will be very grateful.

I am having a similar issue after the latest iphone 5 update (ios 7.1).  everything but mp3s seems to be syncing ok, but not the music.  it gets about halfway there then flashes "cancelling sync" very quickly then stops syncing.  it always seems to quit at the same point - 10-15 tracks in. i tried adding to a playlist in 90 track increments and this sometimes seems to work, or the songs sometimes copy over, but then it starts quiting again.  help!!!!  ive tried a hard reset and this is a brand new version of itunes...
