My iPhone cannot connect to iTunes. It says I need to update to 11.0.5 to use iTunes with my iOS 7 iphone 5 but still won't work, any ideas?
I just downloaded and updated to the new iOS 7 software today for it's release. But when I plug my phone into my usb and then into my macbook, it won't work on iTunes. It says it's not compatible and I need to update to the latest iTunes which they say is 11.0.5. When I go online and download the iTunes installer and download the new update, it works out fine and I don't seem to have any trouble with it but as soon as it opens iTunes when the installer finishs, the mesage about compatibility comes up again even though I just updated to 11.0.5. If anyone has any idea, let me know! I'm hoping that maybe it's just a glitch with the new iTunes that needs to be fixed up?

Thank you for your question. iOS 7 requires iTunes 11.1. First, I recommend trying to obtain the update by going to the iTunes menu and selecting Check for Updates.

If you continue to get the message that iTunes is up to date, you can download the latest version of iTunes here:

Once the file downloads, double click on the installation file that downloaded to initiate the installation.

I had my iphone 3GS and then upgraded to 6.1.3. Now the phone is in a loop and reboots everytime the Apple logo comes up. I held teh home power and connected to itunes to retore, but it won't restore. any ideas?

my itunes kept saying it needed to update. I tried it and then it wouldn't stop trying to update. So I force quit it. Now I can't open itunes at all. I tried option/command and safe mode, it won't open at all
Are you using a very old version of OS X? Are you using a very old computer?

i just updated to OS 10.9.2.
i can't open iTunes; it says i need 64 bit. it refers be to info for iTunes and to uncheck 32 bit.
the problem is is it's already unchecked.

I have an iPod touch. When I try to download an app, it says I need to update the device's software to access the iTunes store. But, when i connect to iTunes, it says I have the most current version. I'm stuck. My mother got this iPod as free-with-purchase when she bought her desktop. She used it, then gave it to me. Upgraded to yosemite and cannot open iphoto. Its say i need to upgrade the latest version but it is not available in the Australian store?
Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always. -
I purchased IPAD MINI for my daughter. To properly register the new MINI, it says to update ITUNES. However, in order to update ITUNES, I need to update my software to 10.6.8.

After you receive it, install it, run Software Update until there are no more updates, at which point you'll be at OS X 10.6.8 and can install iTunes 10.7.
