Hi Nwobodo,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I know that it can be frustrating when you are not getting cellular service on your iPhone the way you would expect. In this situation I would recommend working through the troubleshooting steps in the attached article.
If you see No Service in the status bar of your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

IBook G3 Cannot Detect Networks -- Other Computers Can
My boss's iBook G3 (dual-USB) cannot detect networks. Often the airport icon will not even load up in the menubar, and sometimes it loads, but shows no available networks. We are in a building with dozens of networks, but nothing shows up. Two other computers are accessing our network via Airport just fine. Any thoughts? This is driving us nuts! Any help would be much appreciated.
(By the way, this iBook has successfully connected to our network in the past. Yesterday and today it has just started misbehaving. Thanks again for your help.)Thanks so much for taking the time to reply! The network settings have not been changed, so I don't think that it is an issue of b vs. g.
After leaving the iBook asleep for about an hour, I woke it and managed to get a signal (a few other available networks also showed up). Then I put it back to sleep for a few minutes to see if I would get a signal again. When I woke it up, the signal flashed from 4 bars to none, and the computer froze. Does this fact, and the fact that the Airport icon in the menu bar has been very, very slow to load (about 5 minutes) suggest that there is something wrong with the Airport software on the iBook?
Thanks for your help! -
My iPhone cannot detected by the iTunes
My iPhone cannot detected by the iTunes, what can I do?
The following may help:

I just came home to visit my parents and my father cannot connect his new MacBook Pro OS X (10.5.6) to the airport extreme. I assume this is a recent problem and I believe he use to be able to connect it. I can detect and connect fine on my MacBook Pro (10.4.11) as can my mother on her MacBook. What makes it even weirder is he claims to have taken it to the apple store where they had no problem connecting it to their networks and I just brought it to my friend's house where it connected flawlessly to his linksys network. It also is able to detect networks in neighbor's houses.
I have attempted to manually type in the network name but it still can't find itI have a similar problem which developed suddenly whilst I was away. My network is based on an Airport Extreme base station connected to a DSL modem for Internet purposes. Four Apple devices routinely talk to the Airport Extreme: my iMac, my MacBook Pro, my iPhone, and my Apple TV unit. The iMac is crucial because it is on it and its various associated external drives (2 USB plus one Time Capsule) that all my music, photos etc are kept.
My iMac is never powered down, nor is the Apple TV. The MacBook Pro is when not in use. The iPhone always goes with me. I came back from a week's vacation to find both the iMac and the Apple TV had lost my Wi Fi network. Powered down the Airport Extreme and back up. MacBook Pro and iPhone were fine and talking immediately. Apple TV could see the network OK and just needed the WPA password. But the iMac simply cannot see the house network at all let alone the neighbour's network which the other devices see without problem. I am mystified what to do next... -
AirPort Works Fine with Mac OS, but cannot detect Networks on XP
I've used Boot Camp to install XP on my MBP and installed the necessary drivers etc. The Broadcom 802.11n wireless adapter does not detect any wireless networks when it's booted up with Windows XP, but works fine when booted up with OS X. I thought it was a problem with the driver so I reinstalled it but it still cannot detect any wireless networks. The message says "no available wireless networks found in range".
If networks can be detected using the Mac OS, why is it that when i switch to windows it fails? I'm new at this so can someone enlighten me please?

This is rather amazing in as much as I have read at least 100 posts in the past 6-8 months from users with just the opposite issue complaining about Airport not working on Leopard but on XP. -
Coldfusion Cannot Detect Network Mapping Drive
I am using CFdirectory tag and want to use mapped drive in
the directory attribute. and ColdFusion is unable to detect the
mapped drive.
Coldfusion is running as a System service.
My question is how can i create a mapped drive , so that
Coldfusion can detect it.
Thank youStarting from Win2003 (or it happened earlier?), drives are
mapped per user (info kept in user profiles). Therefore, if you
mapped a network path to a logical drive, as, let's say,
Administrator, the service running under another account cannot see
it. Options:
1. Run service under specific account.
2. Use UNC convention: \\server\share\path -
My iphone 5c cannot detect my sim card to get started to be activated
My iphone cannot detect my sim card and get activated. On top of the left corner indicates the word "searching"? Please Help
The iPhone is locked to a different carrier. Only that carrier and authorize unlocking so you can use the iPhone with other carriers, so you will have to contact that original carrier and ask if you qualify for unlocked and if so what their procedure is.
Regards. -
Hi, just to ask, why is my iphone cannot detect my sim card. the mesg is " No sim Installed". I did try my sim card to other phones an its working. Can anyone help me on this problem, i really appreciate any feedback. Thanks
A store can not unlock it. Unlocking is performed by the end user via iTunes after a request is submitted to the carrier and processed through them to Apple.

I am wondering why my iphone cannot detect MTS sim card even if my iphone is unlocked I tried using other sim card like rogers and it works.
A store can not unlock it. Unlocking is performed by the end user via iTunes after a request is submitted to the carrier and processed through them to Apple.

Why is my bluetooth on iphone cannot detect another iphone that its bluetooth has been turned on? The other iphone also cannot detect my iphone. Fyi, i have turned on the bluetooth on both iphones.
Because this is not & never has been a feature of any iPhone. There are some apps in the app store that permit peer-to-peer Bluetooth connectivity, but only for game playing or photo transfer. That's about it.

I am getting weary of my iPhone 4s. The battery life is non-existent, secondly, I had problems with calls, the caller couldn't hear me and now it cannot detect internet networks. Be they Wi-Fi or cellular. what could be the problem?

Yes, I think most of us do understand what open source software is. It sounds as if you don't. Here's some information:
Open-source software (OSS) is computer software that is available in source code form: the source code and certain other rights normally reserved forcopyright holders are provided under an open-source license that permits users to study, change, improve and at times also to distribute the software.
Open source software is very often developed in a public, collaborative manner. Open-source software is the most prominent example of open-sourcedevelopment and often compared to (technically defined) user-generated content or (legally defined) open content movements.

Yes, Tom Wu of Stanford wrote a paper on something called Secure Remote Access Protocol. It's a form of Asymetric Key Exchange and has nothing to do with hacking anything. It's actually intended to protect data. -
Hi, I have the problem which iTunes cannot detect my iPhone 4s. I tried the steps you have provided in your troubleshooting, but it won't work for me because the Apple Mobile Devilce is perfectly installed on my windows. However, the driver "Microsoft teredo Tunneling adapter" has a yellow exclamation mark, which i believe means it's not installed correctly or something is wrong with it. This driver is under the Network Adapters (Please see picture below).
This is what happens when I connect my iPhone 4s to my laptop (Windows 7 Starter 32-bit)
1. The phone charges it's battery
2. I can open it in My Computer and import/export media files.
In iTunes
3. It start to sync until step 3 then stops.
4. The iPhone option with an arrow appears beside the iTunes Store, but when the arrow is clicked it disappears.
I hope you can provide me a solution for this problem.
Thanks,
RalphHi ralphagir,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
For your iTunes issue with it not recognizing your iPhone, I would go ahead and suggest deleting iTunes and all of its components from your Windows computer and installing fresh.
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
Remove iTunes and related components from the Control Panel
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
As far as the arrow button that you click and the iPhone disappears, it sounds like you may be clicking on the eject button. Please take a look at the following article for information on the eject button in iTunes.

When I purchase music through iTunes from my MacBook Pro, my iPhone 4 iTunes app cannot detect those purchase to allow them to download to my phone. If I open up the iTunes app and select "purchased > music > not on this iphone" it tells me "All of your available music has been downloaded to this device." However, my purchases are not yet downloaded to the iphone and not available to download. If I go to "purchased > music > all > recent purchases" it will show me the purchases that were most recent the last time I synced my phone, but not the purchases since then.
Any thoughts on how I can remedy this and make all of my purchased music available on my phone without requiring syncing?
iPhone 4So I have been searching the iStore for Airplay and I find lots of information about what it is, but nothing about how much it costs, how/where to buy it, etc.?
Fortunately, AirPlay does not cost anything as it is a streaming protocol used by Apple. Currently, the AirPort Express and Apple TV are AirPlay-ready. A number of other companies, like JBL, iHome, Denon and Klipsch are also rumored to be working on AirPlay versions of their products.
Your other option would be to get an AirPort Express and connect it to your Onkyo analog or optical digital audio input and stream from iTunes that way. I currently do this with my 10+ year old Harmon Kardon HT receiver.
