My iphone cant restore or update and currently in recovery mood. The story is when i update my iphone from ios 7.0.3 to latest update via itunes and it said my download was corrupt. Then, my iphone being in recovery mood and cant be update.How to..??
I had tried and restore again and again via itunes and it said the same answers. My donwload was corrupt. I try with manual restore (shift + restore) in itunes and it failed already and the popup window said "my iphone cant restore iphone. Unknown error (14)." For now, my iphone still in recovery mood and the logo connect to i tunes appear when i switch on. I tried use another usb, another computer and another port to restore this but all method was failed. What the problem? Help me.

If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you checked your connections and are still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues.

I'm trying to update my iPhone 4 from iOS 5.1.1 to 6.1. When I try to do this using iTunes on my MacBook Pro (OS X v 10.5.8), with my iPhone in its cradle, clicking the "Update" button in Tunes gets a message saying "This version of iTunes (10.6.1) is the current version." I can't get the iOS update to download.
When I try to update to the iPhone directly, I get a message saying "iOS 6.0.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the Internet" at the Verifying Update step. I noticed that this message refers to iOS 6.0.1, even though I want to update to 6.1. It is possible that, a few weeks ago, I may have downloaded but not installed v 6.0.1.
Thanks for any help with this problemI tried powering down and re-starting the iPhone (as suggested at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275). This seems to have cleared the "...not connected to the Internet" problem, and iOS 6.1 is now in the process of downloading.

QUESTIONS: I have an iphone 3gs.just updating to ios5. am at the stage where I chose to restore iphone via itunes. sync seems stuck at step 7 of 7: syncing artwork. Is this necessary and if not how do I get around it?
When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.

I have just updated to itunes 11 and when I plugged in my ipod classic it locked up. When I tried again it said my ipod was corrupt and advised I reset it. I reluctantly did this as I lost all my music and now itunes just locks up when I plug in my ipod.
Not if you first do a sync and have iTunes make a backup. However, if your only copy of the iTunes data is in the Touch, then you need to first copy the data to a new iTunes Library using third-party software such as Phone To Mac.

i just got my new laptop tonight and got the free lion download but once i tried to install it is said the download was corrupted?? what do i do??
Go into your Applications folder
Find the app named Install Mac OS X Lion.app
Move that app to the trash
relaunch The App Store
go to your Purchased list
Click on install next to Lion
It will re-download the installer -
The screen is frozen on the "connect to iTines" symbol. When I connect to Itunes it tells me to restore. Then it tells me that the download was corrupted.

The music album I just purchased on iTunes appears to be corrupted. Several tracks suddenly skip while playing to the end, some stop playing several seconds before the end of the track, some don't start at all until I tap on the next track, and then go back one track, etc. It seems like either the download was corrupted, or it came that way from iTunes.
Assuming it got corrupted during the download, iTunes saysI can download a new copy for free, except that in the Downloads page, all the tracks already say "Downloaded", so there is no option there to download a new copy over the old one. Does one have to delete (or move/rename) the track in the iTunes library (i.e. on disk) before iTunes thinks that it needs to get a new copy?
Assuming the second option -- that it came this way from iTunes! Holy Cow, I hope that's not the case, but what does one do when the actual source music files are corrupted to begin with? How does one notify Apple of their worm in the apple?

Everytime I download OS X 10.8.5, during restart it says the download was corrupted
I have downloaded OS 10.8.5 several times. Everytime I restart so it can apply the updates, it says the download was corrupted and cannot install. This has happened well over ten times now.

Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
I wasted about 1.5 hours with Apple on this issue. It all started happening after I updated to the latest version of iTunes. I haven't been able to sync my iPhone 4 in 1 month and am freaking out about possibly losing my pictures, video, text messages and music.

I did a full system restore to my phone along with the new 7.0 update. Now I went to restore my phone setting back through Itunes and it goes through all the steps but when it is completed it wont get past the "Connect to Itunes" screen

The iCloud storage that you've bought give you extra space for your iCloud backups, it won't give you extra space for downloading. -

Surely iTunes should be upgraded automatically? It always has in the past.
Typically a computer does not automatically update itself. This would be highly undesirable in my opinion. What if it was it started doing it just as you were going to do a presentation? I have never heard of iTunes automatically updating itself.

No, you shouldn't but once a month somebody complains here than an update wiped their iTunes collection. Not sure I believe them since i don't see how it could do it, but you should always back up first.

When I try to upgrade via iTunes, it tells me that I have the latest version.
Maybe it is the latest version your computer can run with the operrating system version you are using.

my ipad is password protected and i can't remember the password. when I try to restore it, the itunes restore plugin screen will not appear on my ipad. I have tried to shut down, plug in, and hold down the home button method and only get the password screen again on the iPad. Any suggestions??
