my phone decided to lose reception, then it said to fix this error buy restoring to factory settings, when i went to do this, there was an error, now my phone wont switch on, and its stuck on a little itunes picture with a usb cord on it, help, i just got the fone today and already something has happened.
Either the phone was jailbroken or the machine you're trying to restore on was used to jailbreak (or attempt to jailbreak) an iDevice.

I've called Apple, they say the SIM card needs replacing, I go to my service provider they tell me nothing wrong with the SIM card - provider tells me I now need a new phone. Sheesh! I just tried to update my iPhone 4 and it said it was successful, but now I have a message (USB icon - arrow- iTunes icon) that is frozen? I have turned off the phone, unplugged USB and reconnected and closed out of iTunes and back in. Any suggestions?

Try a couple of basic troubleshooting steps that can apply to any iPad issue.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit the mail app and restart. In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
None of these things may work, but without more specific information, they are a good place to start. -

That number is for an apple server in the UK that is used for iMessage activation. A hidden SMS is snet to that number when you turn iMessage on and is used to verify your phone number. I suggest you turn iMessage off. In settings/phone turn on dial assist. Check with your carrier to see if you can send an international SMS as you end that possibility to activate iMessage. Rest your phone (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).) then turn iMessage back on.

I was trying to sync and update my phone with ITunes, about 5 minutes into the process everything stopped. Now the phone does not work, it will not turn on or off, the screen of the phone shows the Apple Logo and a straight line. ITunes seems to not "see" the phone. Suggestions??

hello all. i need help and hoping come advice can be offered: this is the second day in a row that my iphone 4 has crashed while i was on a call. without warning the display goes black and neither the refresh button nor the power button will bring it back to life. i held both buttons down simultaneously and that rectified the problem for one day, but now the phone is not responding to any measure. fully charged battery. any advice???
basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore (first from backup, then as NEW). Have these been tried?

I still get the message (can not connect to iTunes Store) at some updates. But then I can click ok and it updates anyway. Hopefully this can help others with the same problem as well!
