My iPhone deleted my note for travel! Need quick help.

I've had problems with Notes for quite some time, the notes are usually inexplicably duplicated. I know that has been reported in the past, but that's not my issue now. I edited my note (changing the opening line) to make an entire packing list for a long vacation starting Friday. The notes are automatically forwarded to my e-mail account.
Today at work I received some kind of conflict message asking which note to keep. I assumed I said to keep the new form with the packing list, but it instead deleted the important note. Now, not only is my travel list gone, but neither note appears in my E-mail account. Is there any place to recover this? Thanks.

I have a Zagg Sparq, it's a charger that's also a battery. I have the first gen but it'll charge an iPad almost full, and will get the iPhone a couple of times I think. About the downgrade method of life hacker, if you're really not good in those things you might actually ruin your pc like my friend who tried it, she lost her wifi on her notebook, i had to help her find the installer of the driver again. this happened after she tried to install that libusb that is needed to run the application for exit recovery mode and other stuff.
Yes iOS 4.1 is out but contacts disappearing? And who knows what more problems it brings. I was even peeking around the iphone 4 forums it seems that they are not doing well either.
Anyway mine is all fine except that im afraid to use wifi or any apps that needs internet connection because everytime i do, my 3gs gets very very hot. I have already done the basic solution suggested by apple (factory reset, start from new iphone) but its still the same.
And another thing, the multitasking is getting annoying, you have to manually close all apps in the 'multitasking background' everytime you decide to quit an app. I guess they should put a 'Disable multitasking' or something like that.

If you are having problems it is NOT from 4.0; there is something else wrong with your phone. There are plenty of troubleshooting tips in the forum if you look.

NO YOU DO NOT. Those apps in the ribbon are not multitasking, they are suspended. You can ignore them and they won't hurt battery life or memory, unless they are streaming apps like Pandora.
It's amazing. For 3 years people screamed about the fact that the iPhone didn't support multitasking. Now they scream because the phone DOES multitasking. You can't win.

ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it. You will have to contact them. Since you are not the original purchaser of the phone and do not have service with whatever carrier it might be locked to, it is highly unlikely you will get it unlocked.
Since it was hacked to unlock it originally, it is highly likely that the phone will become a brick if you attempt to apply a legitimate unlock.
Actually, it is probably already a brick.
There is nothing we can suggest other than to google "iphone dfu mode" and try doing a restore in DFU mode to see if that can bring it back to life. It may. If so, you will then need to work with the carrier it's locked to or sell it and buy a new phone.

Battery does not charge from the USB power adapter
Important: Only original iPhone can be charged from a FireWire-based power source. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the battery may drain.
Verify that the outlet being used is working.
Try another USB power adapter if available.
If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.
Try another USB cable if available.

Iphone 2g is NOT recognized in Itunes - PLEASE HELP

I have been using this iphone virtually with no problems for months, til I went to add some music and now I get the message "itunes cannot read the contents of the iphone. Go to summary tab in iphone preferences and click restore this iphone to factory settings."
***??? Why do I need to restore this iphone and lose all my stuff that I spent hours and hours adding the way I like it!! Everything on the phone still works!!

As far as why does the iPhone need to be restored. If the iPhone is not connected are you able to use it normally?
If so have you tried connecting the iPhone into the different USB ports other then the one you are currently using?
Tips
*Do not connect iPhone to USB Hub, Keyboard that has USB Ports, or USB Cable extender if possible
*Disconnect any un-needed USB Devices such as Printers, Scanners, Cameras, Etc. That are not needed at the current time
*Try to connect and use back USB ports if you have a Desktop

Iphone 5 changes time randomly.. need urgent help!!

hi everybody .. i need urgent help to fix the problem of my iphone 5 ( IOS 7, Vodafone Germany) .. 2 weeks ago i noticed that the time on iphone was completely wrong and not related even to other time zones .. sometimes it freezed at the same minute for 1 hour .. sometimes it ran anticlockwise.. i switched off the automatic time setting..i made reset and erased all contents and reloaded all configuration from iCloud..the same problem.. i registered it as new iPhone .. no improvement... i switched off the WIFI..3G...i made reset using iTunes .. same error. same error... i took it to Apple store in Dresden- Germany and demostrated the problem there .. they told me that the problem beyond their knowledge and i have to contact apple support ... i sent the iPhone to Apple support in Netherland ... they sent it back on the next day coz they were not able to reproduce the problem...after regestering the iPhone again with my ID.. the same problem ... it's catastrophic coz many functions are time dependent (imessege, Calender, Email, etc.. )..and i cannot rely on my iPhone anymore... has anybody encountered the same problem in germany... and what is the solution?

If the phone is failing to charge, then there are three possibilities -
1) The charging cable is defective - does it work with anything else?
2) The power source is defective - unlikely since you have tried different ones with same result.
3) The phone has a hardware failure - which means you need to take to an Apple store or call them up for advice.

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to move everything to your new computer.

Iphone 4 will not charge... Help!!!

I can sync the phone tried restore three times. Now the phone is dead. I can put it in dfu mode and itunes reads it and i have restored frome there. I have tried different wires and chargers. About November the screen shattered so I had it replaced not by apple. (if i know they would have replaced the phone for 200 i would have just done that and not replaced the screen)I have tried all kinds of tricks and odd processes nothing has worked. I tried taking it to an apple store and they would not help me. The phone has worked perfect untill last week when it just decided to stop charging. I have cleaned the port as well. I wish apple would at least help me a little bit. too bad for that My hopes are for someone here to help me out.

What do you mean Apple wouldn't help you?
The store refused to look at your iPhone or run a diagnostic check to try to determine where the problem lies? If the problem lies with the battery, Apple won't replace the battery at their out of warranty charge for battery replacement since you used a 3rd party to replace the screen?
And Apple's out of warranty or not covered under the warranty "repair" price which pays for an exchange at a discounted price ($199 plus applicable sales tax) does not apply since you used a 3rd party to replace the screen?
If Apple won't help you in any shape, form, or fashion, your only option is using a 3rd party repair service again to determine where the problem lies and getting it fixed that way - just as you did with having the screen replaced.

This is my first post here, please go easy on me if I sound a little dumb about stuff.
So I just bought my sister an unlocked iPhone 4 from China for her. She's in the States, and is currently using an HTC smartphone with Sprint (data plan included). I know Sprint can only activate their OWN iPhones, so I was wondering whether she can use this new iPhone 4 at all?
Do I need to give you guys the serial number of the iPhone 4?

Iphone 4 will not connect to PC Please Help!

My wifes Iphone 4 is not detected by my pc.
I have tried with USB cable and Firewire cable from my old ipod. My old ipod connects and syncs fine with both cables.
The iphone will connect to my old laptop (xp) via USB, so the problems appeares to be my PC.
I have tried windows Vista. and recently updated to Windows 7, clean install and still the iphone will not connect. I also had the very same problem with and Ipod touch, which i returned as faulty :\.
When i plug the iphone in I get nothing on the phone and nothing on the pc. I have already tried reseting/restoring the iphone. rebooting pc. fiddling with the apple mobile device service etc but no joy. Itunes is obviosly installed and uptodate. have also tried removing all other usb devices.
So its my PC but why? when everything else USB works without fail Why wont this piece of crap connect?
My pc is running Windows 7 64bit 4GB on a Quad core processor. Not brand new but not some ancient piece of scrap either.
Please help!

I upgraded over the air with no problems at first. It does seem to fix my fast battery drain (iphone 4, not 4s) problem that I was having. However, now my mobile internet is EXTREMELY SLOW... even wifi seems to drag. Anyone got a fix?
