My Iphone deleted playlists in Itunes.

Hey, I was at a concert and wanted to take some pictures, but due to lack of space I deleted a few playlists on my Iphone (thinking it would help).
Anyway, when I got home and synced my Iphone 4S with Itunes, Itunes deleted all the playlists that i had deleted on my phone.
Does anyone know a way that I can restore the files to my Mac?
Please help, it's kind of urgent!

Open Finder and go to Music > iTunes > iTunes Media > Music, and drag everything to iTunes. If the songs aren't added to iTunes, you can download them again if you bought them in the iTunes Store

  • Deleting playlist in itunes

i deleted a playlist on my iphone 4s and wanted to do the same in itunes but after highlighting the playlist to delete there was no where in the itunes menu to do this. would appreciate some guidance on this. thanks.

Chris. I tried as instructed with no success.
My iPhone appears in the iTunes left sidebar and lists my playlist including the playlist I deleted in the iPhone.
After using the delete key and again using right click delete, I could not delete it.

There are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward. As iTunes 7 is just out some of these may not have caught up with it yet though I haven't experienced any problems with the Mac software I use.

You can also use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows hold down Control-Alt if you are using iTunes 7 (on a Mac hold down the Option and Command (⌥ and ⌘) keys). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer.

Help! I've deleted my voice memos playlist on iTunes. How do I transfer my voice memos on my iPhone to iTunes for a second time?

You need to have the latest version of iTunes on the computer, version 11.1.3 to be able to handle syncing a newer phone with iOS 7. The iTunes on the iPhone has nothing to do with syncing and is installed by the iOS.
Go to iTunes on the computer, click on Help, Check for updates to update iTunes on the computer, or go to to www.apple.com/itunes/download and download and install the latest version of iTunes to correct your problem.

  • Deleted tracks on Iphone are not deleted from the itunes playlist

When I delete some tracks on iphone, I would like them to be deleted from the itunes playlist as well when syncing.
    how can i do it?
    thanks

I was just playing around with my YahooMail account too ...and it's a little different than the normal client/server sorta thing I've been used to ...
I was using my PC to draft a new Yahoo email, then saw it on my iPhone Email, in the Drafts ... edit the PC version, update iPhone, the edit appears.
The iphone doesn't download a copy of your messages, it interfaces directly with the server. If you do anything on either side (PC and/or iPhone) it affects your Yahoo Inbox.

  • Will deleting videos/playlist on Iphone 4 automatically delete files in itunes next time I sync my phone?

I just deleted some songs/videos on my iphone to make some space to download a movie.  I want to know next time I sync my phone will those songs be deleted from my itunes folder? or will they remain.
    any sugguestions are helpful
    thanks
    jazmine

No.  Assuming that they were in your iTunes folder, they will be put back on the phone on the next sync, unless you specify that you don't want them synced, in which case they will just stay on your computer.  I am assuming here that the videos you are referring to are videos in your iTunes library, not videos you have made that are in the camera roll.  They would be gone unless you had previously transferred them to a computer.

  • Itunes match has removed my playlists from itunes and my iphone. Not only that, many of the songs 'matched' on itunes do not show up on my iphone. Seriously annoyed, wish I'd never paid for it

Please read the title; itunes match has removed my playlists on itunes and iphone and the songs that are supposedly 'matched' on itunes are not showing up on my iphone.
    Any Really annoyed about this

iTunes Match does not have the ability to remove local files.
The service operates by comparing the selected iTunes Library with the iTunes Store content and 'matching' or 'uploading' - it is very straightforward a 'match' provides equivalent access to iTunes Store content as a recognised 'purchase'; upload simply copies a 256k AAC variant into the cloud.  There are no elements of this activity that can erase the local library content.
Would suggest you explore possible alternative causes of file loss.  Given the pattern described of selective deletion, leaving many Songs intact - would suggest making at least 2 secure offline Song file backups and starting the library again from a fresh install of iTunes once a thorough sweep of the system has been completed for virus.  It is also worth assessing the physical security of the system - who has access & with what privileges.
To access Songs from the cloud, you would have to manually delete the Song from the library or open an empty library - so even when accessing content, iTunes Match provides no local deletion capability.

  • Hi, I have the iphone 4 and I manually deleted all the voice memos on my iphone but they are still on my iphone when I open Itunes

Hi, I have the iphone 4 and I manually deleted all the voice memos on my iphone but they still appear on my iphone when I open Itunes on my computer and they still take up space. I am soon running out of space. Any ideas to permanantly get rid of some of the voice memos?
Am I the only one that really dislike the fact I cannot customize my iphone and cannot delete whatever files I want?
The only options i seem to have is to delete all my files WITHOUT a system restor because I tried doing a system restore  and it puts back all my old files on my iphones.
I'm pretty desperate and any tips would help me a lot

If I understand you correctly, you purchased two albums directly from your iPhone and have successfully transferred the purchases to your iTunes library, but now you want to remove these two albums from your iPhone but having trouble, correct?
If so, you can manually delete the albums (song-by-song) by sliding your finger across each song's name, from left to right, then select the Delete button.
Or, while your iPhone is connected to iTunes click on the Music tab that you see in iTunes (where you specify what items to sync to your iPhone). At the bottom of that window (below Playlists, Genre, etc.) you'll see songs that are "manually" added to your iPhone, just un-check those and re-sync.

  • Why do the playlists i made on my iphone not appear in itunes ?

When i make playlists on my iphone they work fine on my phone, but when i plug my phone into itunes, under my iphone tab it only shows the playlists i made on my computer and not the ones i made on my phone. This isn't really the big issue, though; what concerns me is the fact that whenever i add new music to my phone itunes deletes all the playlists that i made on my phone. Some people have said to just make a new playlist in itunes that exactly matches the one i made on my phone, i know in theory that would work, however i currently have 61 playlists, many of which have almost 1000 songs arranged in a specific order. It takes me hours to copy over a single playlist and i simply cannot do that 61 times every time i add music to my phone. Also i manually manage my music and i can't change to automatic becuase my itunes library doesn't match my iphone library, so that isn't an option. The part i don't understand is that this has never been a problem until recently, possibly after an itunes update. Some people have said playlists made on your phone are like "on-the-go" playlists and itunes doesn't sync them. But i distinctly remember back when i used my 3rd gen. nano i could make on the go playlists on my ipod but i couldn't name them, so i would plug it into itunes and they would show up there and i could name them. It was the same thing with my ipod touch except i could name them without having to use itunes, but they would still show up in itunes. I remember it being the same way when i first got my iphone (4s), i'm not sure what changed, but i can't keep re-doing my playlists every time i want to add music. Isn't there a way to export a playlist then import it?

I have the same exact problem. let me know if you figured anything out

  • How do you sync playlist made on iPhone 6 back to iTunes on Macbook Pro?  The playlist name shows up but with no content.

I made a playlist on my iPhone 6 and thought it would sync to my iTunes account when I connected my phone to my Macbook Pro but it did not.  The playlist name showed up under my playlist names, but there was no content in it and it had a different playlist symbol (music note with bars) than the Smart Playlists (gear) I have made in the past on my computer.  The playlist has a few hundred songs on it, so I don't want to have to do it manually. Is there a way to get the playlist content I made on my phone into my iTunes on my computer?  Thanks!

How did the playlist get on your iphone?
If you created an on-the-go playlist then from page 81 of the manual:
"When you make an on-the-go playlist and then sync iPhone to your computer, the
playlist is saved on iPhone and in your iTunes library, then deleted from iPhone.
The first is saved as “On-The-Go 1,” the second as “On-The-Go 2,” and so on.
To put a playlist back on iPhone, select iPhone in the iTunes sidebar, click the Music tab, and set the playlist to sync."

  • How do i create a playlist in itunes from my iphone 4s?

how do i create a playlist in itunes from my iphone 4s?

On my iphone 4s I have 2 songs in the purchased category that I want to manually move into an existing playlist.  I can not figure it out.
If the existing playlist is a regular (non-smart) playlist, then you can edit it directly on the iPhone. Just select the playlist and you should see an "Edit" button at the top, above the songs.  If you don't see that, then it must be a smart playlist since those can't be edited on the device. Once you tap the Edit button you would then navigate to the song you want to add and press the blue + sign to the right of the song, then press Done when you're finished.
One caveat though, if you auto-sync your iPhone, the changes you make will not be preserved -- the playlist will revert to how it was next time you sync to iTunes.  So if you want to edit a playlist on your iPhone and then transfer it to iTunes, you have to create a new (empty) playlist on your iPhone, add the playlist that you wanted to edit to the new playlist, then add or delete more songs to the new playlist.  When you auto-sync, the new playlist will transfer to your iTunes library.
But if you manually manage your iPhone, the playlist should remain in its edited state even if you connect to your library (but admittedly its been awhile since I tried manual mode).
