  • I have a Iphone 5c and the screen light open when I press a button but nothing appears on the screen and I can't do anything

I have a brand new Iphone 5c since like 2 weeks ans just today this happened, Cell is full charge everything is good i'm using it and then put it in my pocket for about 1hour and when I pick it out it don't work anymore !! the screen doesn't work like it lights up when I press on any button but I can't see nothing the screen stay black and I can't do my code to unlock it or even answer a phone call !!

You have voiceover on. First try tapping the home button three times fast to turn it off.
If it is still on the gestures are different. You tap once to choose an item then double tap the item to activate it. Remember everything that was one tap is now tap then double tap. Start with the lock screen. Tap, then double tap your code. Swipe with two fingers to open, if the screen doesn't slide with two fingers try using three.
Tap then double tap each of the following. Settings> general> accessibility> voiceover > off.
    Good luck.
Edit. I'm not sure if you need two fingers to slide to unlock. Try with one finger. If that doesn't work try two.

  • I cant open apps on my iPhone 4 the touch screen doesn't work.  I have restored my phone and still nothing works.

I can't open apps on my iPhone.  The touch screen doesn't work.  I have restored it already but it still won't work.  What can I do.

If the touch screen is not having any response then you probably have a hardware failure. Take your phone to an Apple Store or authorised service provider to have it checked.

  • I dropped my iPhone 5 and the screen is completely black and when i plug it into my computer it constantly beeps.  When I call it it doesn't go straight to voicemail but my phone doesn't ring.  Rebooting it doesn't work.  What is the problem?

My screen has been cracked for a while now and today I dropped it and parts of the screen on top came off and the phone went completely black.  I tried calling it and it rings as usual on the line but my iphone doesn't make any sound.  I just plugged in my phone to my macbook and i am still able to import pictures and send imessages but while it's plugged in my phone constantly beeps..the same beeping as it does when its on the charger but it's just one beep every couple seconds.  People have been telling me it could be the LCD..any thoughts?

    Ask Verizon.
If you don't know whether you have AppleCare+, you can find out warranty information by entering the serial number at http://selfsolve.apple.com. The serial number can be found under Settings > General > About > Serial Number, if you are still able to use the phone. If not, eject the SIM card tray from the right side of the phone using a paper clip or SIM unlock tool. It is in very tiny print on the rim of the tray.
You cannot purchase AppleCare+ if it's been after 30 days or the phone has already been damaged like yours.

Basic troubleshooting steps outlined in the user guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.  Try each of these steps until your problem is solved. If these steps fail to solve your issue, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple (or an authorized service provider in your area) for evaluation.

iPhone 4 frozen with screen image of usb connector with arrow to iTunes logo.  iTunes doesn't recognize my iPhone message says in recovery mode must restore.  Try to restore and get - 1 error.  What do I do now??

    Hi there beee19,
You may find the troubleshooting steps in the article below helpful.
Resolve specific iTunes update and restore errors
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694
    Check USB connections
    Related errors: 13, 14, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 1611, 1643-1650, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response,” and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
    Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you checked your connections and are still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues.

  • Slate 21 Pro screen back light on when sleeping

Hi James_caI found out a couple of days ago that our service inventory had not yet been updated with the new Scalar FW revision.  I suspect that at some time you will experience the same issue...just a matter of when.  I'm sorry if I was not clear in my earlier instruction.  I should know more tomorrow about when our service inventory will be ready.  Rest assured that if you experience the issue again, the next replacement will be correct. Again, my apology for not communicating clearly.

I have Slate 21 Pro. It is awsome all in one desktop with Android system. However it has the problem with sleep mode. Say I press power button to put it into sleep mode. The light on the power button change to red from white. But at some point, could be a couple of minutes or one hour, the screen back light will turn on though the screen is still dark (nothing displays). And at this time, the light on the power button will become white. And the worst thing is it'll never go back to sleep mode once it is in this state. I used a Electric Meter to test the power comsuption. At running time (when I use it and power button light in white), it consumes aournd 26 watts. At sleep time(power button light in red), it comsumes around 5 watts. At the state of dark screen with back light on ( the problemmatic state I describe above), it comsume almost the same as running time around 24 watts. This is too bad for an Android device. Though I'm able to pay the bill, but why should we waste energy and money? I report the problem. HP sent me another one. But the same problem there. I guess it is caused by the latest OS update. HP really should fix this. Does anyone has this issue? I'm so supprised that no one report this issue.

My screen on my Iphone 3gs has lost it's light, Like, I have to hold it in some type of light to see it, what is wrong here?

This is called "no backlight problem". Try a Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to restart, usually takes 10 seconds of holding both buttons.
This problem is usually due to Liquid Damage to iPhone, either Logic Board component or LCD Display.
If you have Warranty or AppleCare Coverage, hope it is not Liquid Damage and make Genius Reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution.

  • MacBook insomnia; it doesn't sleep.

My MacBook doesn't go to sleep, unless I press the power button and select Sleep.
Neither in battery mode, nor in AC mode. I tried closing all the opened programs (QuickSilver, Safari, iTunes, iTerm), and put the time to 1 minute to make quick tests. In both AC and battery modes, the screen just goes blank, but the thing is still on (I move the mouse and it's there -- in sleep mode I have to press Space bar or something; I left it there for 7 hours with the blank screen, and the computer was still hot in the morning.... so no sleep).
I run the extended hardware test, and it says everything is OK.
I have had 2 sudden shutdowns this month (always with AC plugged in, computer cold, just turned in, and in 2 or 3 minutes it turns off).
    Any idea?

Solution to No sleep after improper shutdown
Re: MacBook insomnia; it doesn't sleep.
(Use any and/or all of these steps at your own risk
(Warning this will erase your osx volume !!!)
Use only If you are very familiar with the Apple Disk
    Utility,
I have a possible work around.
This may resolve only the "insomnia" issue and, may
forego the “manual reinstall” of all your
    applications, music, document, files, etc..
(this process does take time, but you are making a
    valuable backup)
This will not resolve any random powering off issue.
((BTW just reinstalling osx “with the erase first”
option did also fix the insomnia issue on my MBP.
Though I did spend a lot more time reinstalling all
of my app, docs, and geting all the setting just
right)) hopefully the following workaround will be at
very least much more simple than a full reinstall
    from scratch.
This work around requires an external backup
    hard-drive.
Step 1: First, using Disk Utility Restore(meaning
backup), backup your source "Macintosh" Volume, to an
    external hard-disk Volume (destination).
(this, step 1, may take 2-hours+ for ~80GB of data,
    via FW400 speeds.)
Step 2: Next, hold "option" while Booting, select
external hard-drive Volume. (the external backup
volume you created in step 1)
(You should now have booted into your mac OSX
    external hard-disk backup volume.)
Step 3: From your external macOS volume, use Disk
Utility to erase your "Macintosh" Volume. (the one
inside your Macbook pro ! ).
Step 4: using Disk Utility Restore(now meaning
restore), restore your external backup volume (from
the external Hard-disk source) to destination
    internal "Macintosh" volume.
(This, step 4, may take an additional 2-hours+ via
    FW400 speeds.)
(Use all and/or any of these steps at your own risk
    Good luck.

Solution to No sleep after improper shutdown Re: MacBook insomnia; it doesn't sleep.
    Re: the previous post.
The insomnia issue is probably caused by an "improper shutdown/power loss".
So this workaround will only be permanent, if you resolve the "random shutdown" issue.
As I think the "random shutdown" issue may be causing the "insomnia" issue.
After a "random shutdown" has occurred, causing "insomnia", the workaround will fix the insomnia. (the make this fix permanent though, the random shutdown must be addressed)
Hope this helps clarify (which one created the other, the chicken vs. the egg)
And gets you, at lease closer, to a full (no random shutdowns and no insomnia) solution.
    Take care

  • IPhone 5c 16gb Blue screen and rebooting

My iphone 5c, running on 7.1.2 has recently (after 4months of having it) started showing the blue screen of death and then rebooting. There is no pattern as to when this happens - completely random! I also went to it once and it had turned off on it's own and took a while to turn back on when I attempted to!
