My iPhone dont want sync my songs (Help Me)

I have my songs in my iphone, but there is a square surrounded by a round and not play the song
PLEASE HELP ME

Try a different usb cable to verify that it isn't the cable.  If it isn't the cable, make an appointment at the genius bar at an Apple Retail store.  If your phone is still under warranty, and there is no accidental damage, they will likely replace it.  If it is not under warranty, or if there is liquid damage or visible drop damage, you can possibly arrange an out of warranty service which is $199.00 USD for an iPhone 4S.
Best of Luck.

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.
    As IO said before:
You can redownload most iTunes pruchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
I do not think it included audio books.

If you forgot (or don't know) your passcode, restore the device from backup on the last computer it was synced with when the passcode was turned on... this will remove the passcode. If you do not have access to the last computer it was synced with, or you don't have a backup, you will have to force it into recovery mode & restore as a new device.

  • Dont want my purchased songs on my music

I dont want my old purchased music showing up on my ipad music list

You can turn off music in the cloud in the Music app via Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Music 'off'

  • IPhone will not sync purchased songs or entire library

I have been having a lot of issues with my iPhone 4s lately. All iTunes, iPhone, and MacBook have all had the most recent updates. I restored my phone (last backup date was last night, 5/21/2013) due to the issues i was having with major lagging. But to get to the music topic, I have my phone set to sync entire music library. Inside the "on this phone" screen within iTunes it will state on the music list that all the songs are there and on my "purchased playlist" they are all there but the purchased playlist on my phone does not agree what so ever to what it shows to be on the phone within iTunes. For example my "purchased" playlist on my computer is 453 songs but on my iPhone it only shows 357. Also, my computer shows my entire library to be 1004 songs but my phone only shows 826.
I have never had this problem before. So i restored my iPhone again. Same thing and now for some reason all but 11 of the original 158 pictures are there, but it is slowly (and i mean slowly) getting one or two more every few min. It is now up to 127 out of the 158. Is there some reason that this could be the case with the music?
I just do not understand how iTunes "on this phone" can says its there but on the actual phone it is not.
Any help or advice is much appreciated.
    Thanks

    wandatwitch,
Are your ringtones and videos purchases from the iTunes Store? If so, you may not be authorized to sync them. Play some of the videos or TV shows and you should get a prompt to authorize the computer. For more information about authorization, please take a look at this article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1420
If these files are not iTunes Store purchases, they may not be in a format compatible with the iPhone.
    Hope this helps,

  • ITunes and iPhone won't sync. PLEASE HELP

Hello. So I have this problem. I have the iPhone 5 and it is fully upgraded in all ways. I used to have a MacBook Pro, also all updated with the new iTunes too, where all my music was syncronized. It broke, and I got a new one. We tried to export all of the stuff from the harddrive, but only documents and some photos was able to be saved. So I lost all of my music. I still had it on my phone though, so I wanted to syncronize my phone and iTunes, which should work but it wouldn't. It does safety copy, but none of the music is exported into my actual iTunes. And now when I download new music on my iTunes on my mac it won't syncronize either. I have tried DiskAid, but it only works one way and I have not bought it yet. This really ennoys me, and I hope someone knows how to help me

  • Iphone 2g wont sync video songs from library

No videos are appearing in iphone-videos list, although i have them in my library.
(mp4 files, i can play them in itunes, but unable to sync to iphone)

One thing that might help out.
First, check to see if you have set itunes to sync videos to the iphone.
This can be done with the tabs across from the summary tab.
If the videos are still not syncing, right click, or control click, on the name of the iphone under devices.
Click reset warnings from the pop-up menu.
Now try to sync the videos again.
    What warning do you get.
If the warning that this video cannot be played on the iphone, right click on that video.
Now choose convert selection to ipod or iphone.
    Hope this helps.

  • Want to upgrade itunes but dont want to lose songs

i have the older version of itunes...i would like to download the newest version...will i lose my songs if i download and use the new version?

Upgrading to a newer version should not impact your existing music Library....but why take the risk.
Backup your music Library regularly and always before performing an iTunes upgrade.
Or don't, and pay the price (time and money) if you have a hiccup.....
You can Use iTunes for Backing up your Music, but I do not favor this mehtod.
It works fine for music files BUT: I prefer more control and completeness over my backup process. It is also very important to note that a large limitation of using iTunes to manage the backup is that the iTunes method does not create or maintain backups of the two meta-data files (iTunes Library.itl & iTunes Music Library.xml) where your Playlists, Ratings, Play Counts, etc. are stored. See: What are the iTunes Library files?
If you are heavily invested in your Library data (Playlists, Play Counts, Ratings, Last Played, Date Added, etc.), it is crucial that you also make and archive multiple backups of your ‘iTunes Library.itl’ file.
If your music is located under one common Folder (e.g.-‘iTunes’), then it is easiest to physically copy that folder and all its sub-folders in one simple process. It can be done quickly, and incrementally – several times a day, when necessary. In the case of any data loss, just re-copy your entire (or partial) music library back to wherever it was, placing it in the main Folder that the previous iTunes expected. Along with the ‘iTunes Library.itl’ metadata file, this completes a full ‘restore’ of your music to the time of your last backup.
Use of a backup software program will greatly help. It will allow you to easily perform incremental backups of only the files that have changed. WinXP has such a facility built-in. I use a free program called FileSync ( http://www.fileware.com ). There are many out there. Some use Zipped files or proprietary formats, others use standard file formats. I like FileSync as it uses normal file formats that can be viewed/managed via any Windows program or utility.
iTunes Files to Backup (anytime you make additions or changes to the Music or Library that you want to retain)
    1) All music files in their current folder structure (usually located in and under the ‘iTunes Music’ folder)
    2) The Library database file: ‘iTunes Library.itl’ located in the ‘iTunes’ folder
    3) The Library XML file: ‘iTunes Music Library.xml’ located in the ‘iTunes’ folder
    4) Any XML playlist files created for Playlist retention
    5) The two iTunes.pref files (optional)
    -- C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes.pref
    -- C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Apple Computer Inc\iTunes.pref
    6) The XML file of Ratings, Play Counts and Last Played attributes saved from the main Library and created by Otto’s SaveRatings script (also optional, but recommended):
“Download this: http://ottodestruct.com/itunes/SaveRatings.zip . It's a program, just run it like any other program. Run it on the machine where you're copying the info from BEFORE you move the files to the new machine. Click the "Save Ratings" button and it'll create a ratings.xml file. Now when you move the files, move the program and this file as well. Then after you make your new iTunes library, run it again and click the "Restore Ratings" button. Voila, all your information is back in the Library. Well, most of it anyway, it's not perfect. It'll tell you what songs it couldn't figure out though, and there's usually not very many.”
Here's a list of possible ways to copy your music files from your main iTunes computer to another storage medium for backup purposes.
    1) Use an External Hard Drive to store the complete iTunes meta-data files and underlying Music Folder structure and songs from your main computer. They are quite cheap now, for their storage volume. This is my preferred main medium.
    2) If you have Two Computers:
2a) Connect them through a router
2b) Connect them using a Direct (w/Mac) or Crossover (PC/PC) Ethernet cable (See: http://www.ifelix.co.uk/tech/3001.html)
2c) Connect them via a USB-to-USB Network Bridge. See: here as an example.
Copy the files and folders from one computer to the other. Use the second PC as your backup repository.
    3) Burn several DVDs (at 4.7+ GBs each) with the music data files and store them safely. Re-writable ones are good for backup purposes (if your DVD drive can manage these).
    4) Burn 6x more on CDs (at 700MB each) than in #3 above and store them safely in more space Re-writable ones are good for backup purposes (if your CD drive can manage these).
    5) Use a larger USB Flash drive (1GB – 4+GBs) to store the files only if you have a small amount ripped music or have multiple and/or jumbo USB drives at your disposal that will fit your music library.
    6) Use the Second Internal Hard Drive (if available) of your PC -- not optimum, as you really want to physically separate the storage of backups from the originals, but good as a tertiary storage device.
By keeping only one copy of your music (other than on the iPod), you are not truly 'backed-up' and are running a high risk of losing your music. Music files on just the iPod and the computer is not considered having any backup. If you cannot store your complete music files on the computer’s internal HD, then create and maintain at least two external sets (any multiple combinations of ExHDs, DVDs, CDs).
You need at least two full sets of your music, not including what is on the iPod:
-- One full set on the PC within iTunes (on internal HD or ExHD)
-- One full set on an separate external backup medium (CD/DVD/ExHD/other)
-- One (full or partial) set on the iPod
It is a good policy to backup all your important data. It is a very smart policy to back it up on more than one medium.
External hard drives now run less than $100 for 200-250GBs of storage. Very cheap backup insurance, indeed. See This Link

  • My iphone won't sync new songs in my library

So I update my library on iTunes with new songs. I throw my wifi into a power source, and it syncs stuff like apps and such but not the new songs. It works when I drag those songs onto the iPhone (on iTunes). If I hate sync music it goes crazy and tells me it'll delete everything and it seems like it'll resync all my songs, and I not about to wait 342342 hrs. to sync my music for a few songs.
iOS 5 is a struggle. They should've given us a manual to read first....

    Error 20, 21, 23, 26, 28, 29, 34, 36, 37, and 40
These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. Use the steps to troubleshoot security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See the steps under the heading "Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store." If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.

  • IPhone not charging/syncing! Please help! :S

    Hello everyone!
I have a big problem with my iPhone...
It is not charging anymore on both my dock and wall charger, and only on my UBL On Time iPod player. Therefore, I cannot sync my iPhone with my computer anymore :S...
This happened since this morning. I used my iPhone calculator app. and fell asleep while it was still on. I woke up later and my iPhone was boiling hot. Coincidence?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hey Allan Sampson,
    I have tried:
    - with dock (with 2 different docks)
    - with just the cable from the dock (with 2 different cables)
    - with iPod cables
    - wall chargers
    - with my iPod player connected to my computer (which is the only device that will charge my iPhone, but even connected to the computer, will not sync)
    - different USB ports
(And the keyboard doesn't provide enough power for the iPhone to be recognized.)
I even went to an Apple store and tested on a few other iPod/iPhone players.
The guys there told me that maybe it was a pin problem, but they're not sure. And even if it was the case, they say they don't know where it can be fixed... They gave me an estimation price for a pin fix procedure of the equivalent of 200~250 US$.
I don't understand why it will charge on ONE iPod player that I have and nothing else.
Does that means I have to get another phone or what? That súcks...

  • ITunes only syncs 25 songs

My new iPhone 4s only syncs 25 songs from my iTunes library.  I've tried syncing directly from my 2 month old MacBook Pro; I've tried syncing via WiFi; and I've tried checking and unchecking every option available in iTunes with no luck.  Any help or do I need to go to the Genius Bar?

With your iPod connected, look under the Music tab and make sure that you haven't accidentally checked to sync only your purchased playlist.

  • Hi my laptop with my itunes lubrary has crashed so i got a new one but i dont want to sync my iphone to the new laptop incase i lose all my songs on my iphone. how do i sync to a new one without losing everything

    hi i need help
hi my laptop with my itunes lubrary has crashed so i got a new one but i dont want to sync my iphone to the new laptop incase i lose all my songs on my iphone. how do i sync to a new one without losing everything

The right way is to restore the backup that you kept of your old computer onto your new one. If it is too late for that before you do anything set up a backup process for the new one so when it crashes (note I said "when", not "if") you won't be faced with this problem again.
In lieu of that the apps already mentioned will help you get content off the phone if it was not purchased from iTunes. But it it WAS purchased from iTunes just connect the phone to your new computer, Authorize iTunes on the new computer and choose "Transfer Purchases" from the iTunes file menu.
