ok when i charge my iphone5 it has the charge symbol like its charging but it takes a whole half of day to actually progess in the charge
and also my phone jus started crashing out of nowhere ok you know how if you push on a lcd screen to much the lines it makes it wit make those line and then the screen goes black and the phone restarts even when im just charging the phone is does this
whats wrng please help

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

I need help.
I have looked on loads of forums but I seem to have 2 problems merged into one.
The first one is that my phone will not charge, i have tried different USB ports, different plugs (the only thing i havent got round to yet is checking the actual cable). I have clean the phone where the cable goes.
Also when i plug it into the computer, it says the USB is not being recognised and it also doesnt charge my phone.
I didnt update the phone last week when i was notified by itunes - will it have something to do with this. I have the latest version of itunes.

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with the battery on your iPhone 5. You have taken some really good steps to troubleshoot this issue already. I found an article with a few additional steps you can take.
I recommend the following steps for the issue you described (you can skip any of the steps you have already taken):
Resolving issues
If your battery doesn't charge, or if your device shows a low-battery image, black screen, or "accessory not supported" alert, follow these steps.
Inspect the connector at the bottom of the phone:
Make sure that there are no bent pins in the connector.
Make sure that the connector is free from debris.
If there are bent pins or debris, please contact Apple Support.
Otherwise, continue troubleshooting.
Make sure that the outlet you're using works.
Make sure that the Apple USB cable and Apple USB power adapter work.
Plug the device in to power and let it charge for up to 30 minutes. If you don't have an Apple USB power adapter, try connecting to a computer's high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be on.
If the device still exhibits an issue, try turning your device off and then on again while connected to power.
If the issue is persists, please contact Apple Support.

I tested it on an old iPhone 3G and got the same problem so it is not an iOS 5 issue. My WI-FI connection is working fine. I was wondering if this is an App Store problem? I have also been having another problem - with BBC iPlayer and other video streaming not working due to insufficient bandwidth, despite my overall download speed being consistently around 50Gb. This is also affecting AppleTV downloads
I am using Virgin Media as my ISP, and was wondering whether you do as well. This might be the common thread.

The iPhone has a hardware problem - with the battery or something else.
The iPhone includes a one year warranty. If purchased new in October of 2012, it remains under warranty. Call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.

It started giving me the prompt "this accessory does not support charging this device". I tried charging in my car, two separate wall chargers and on my MacBook Pro. Have never had a problem charging it before. When I would try to charge it, I would get a green battery icon with a plug in it, indicating the battery was fully charged. I now have it plugged into a wall charger, it shows the lighting bolt and nearly drained battery but the phone will not turn on. Any ideas?

OK, I agree that is a completely false statement. The rest of the article is pretty good.
If you assume a linear decrease in battery charge for each full cycle (which it really isn't, but much easier to model in a spreadsheet). Then 80% of original charge after 400 full cycles is approximately 0.8% loss in battery charge per full charge cycle (again this is a simplification, stay with me). This means that after 400 cycles, you are at approximately 80% of your original total charge level. As stated by Apple.
So, extrapolating that out to EOL (end of life) which Apple assumes to be 50% battery charge, it would take approximately 1,000 full charge cycles for your battery to be EOL (according to Apple). It would actually be slightly less than that since it won't be a linear function.
For me, that's 2 to 4 years of use depending on whether or not I continue using the iPhone as much as I have this first full week.

Email recipients having problems receiving and opening attachments after iOS7 update. Help!

I use my iPad for work, and often send emails with multiple PDF attachments via the GoodReader app. Since updating to iOS7, people are having problems receiving and/or opening my attachments. All available updates have been installed for both the iPad and GoodReader apps.
My emails either show up with NO attachments, or with a box marked with an "X".
I Googled and learned others are having the same issue, especially when sending single page PDFs.
The email address/account I am using is through the Microsoft Exchange. I will say, however, when I try sending the attachments from my iCloud email account, I have no problems. I also had no problems with iOS6.
Someone is probably going to tell me this is a Microsoft problem and not an Apple problem. Regardless, I need a solution. This is very frustrating. I'm ready to go back to using my Windows-based laptop. HELP!

Solution for me was changing the "Load Remote Images" setting, shutting down and restarting the phone. The old messages with problems reloaded with all attachments accessible.
Background: I began having this problem recently with PDF, jpeg,vcf files and apparently now, all attachments as well as email with html links are coming through with no attachment or as empty email. This was a new problem for me. I have been backing up to the cloud, but not using a cloud email account. I have multiple accounts on the phone, six of them actually and have been set up this way for over a year without problem. Some are imap, some pop, none are through exchange.

You export them using the flyout menu in the top right corner of the actions palette. Conversely, you load them the same way in the new version.

In reference to Lynley Stanley, I too am having the exact problem. I downloaded as for my class of Animation and Visual Effects at the Academy of Art University while waiting for my software to come in the mail from Academic Superstore. I am so frustrated about this that such an issue has caused so much madness. In the process of trying to remove Adobe Photoshop CS3 from my Windows Vista I was searching for info on how to uninstall as I was in a hurry to uninstall the program because my 4th week into class started using the program as students are expected to follow along having their own for assignments. Well, now I'm behind and I don't want to fail because of something that is causing the problem as I'd like to call intentional. In the process of trying to figure a way to uninstall fast as not to fall behind and fail in class I downloaded Perfect Uninstaller but I don't know how it will work. Now in reference of trying to quickly uninstall just to keep up with class, that will not be possible, so now I had to take time to look online knowing I'm falling more and more behind because of this difficult matter I finally found this and hopefully I'll be going somewhere as to have the problem corrected. If it's still under warranty, Apple will fix it, but you have to send it to them, so you won't have it for several weeks. If the warranty is expired, they'll still do it, but you'll have to pay for it. Last I heard, it costs $99/S&H.
That is the ultimate defect in the iPhone. No other cellphone has a battery that is not user-replaceable. I won't buy a phone that doesn't.
