My iPhone had a problem while updating and it is now stuck on the connect to itunes screen. It will not connect to itunes and my laptop won't recognize that there's a phone connected. Help?
While I was updating my phone, there was an error and it's stuck on the screen where it has the cable connecting to itunes. I tried to connect, but it's stuck. I've tried different cables and ports, but nothing works. Is there anything I can do without erasing my phone? I can't remember the last time I backed up my phone and I turned off iCloud because of the space it was taking up. I keep shutting it down and turning it back on, but the same screen appears. If you think you have a solution, please share!
Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
Unfortunately, the data on your phone is already gone if you're seeing the connect to iTunes logo.

If you haven't already tried, see if you can force it into recovery mode to restore it:

My phone lagged while trying to download the new update. It is now stuck on the loading screen that is black with the white apple. How do I fix this?
Reset the device by pressing and holding the home and power buttons for about 15-20 seconds.

YOU ARE IN RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY. -
my iphone 4s is stuck on the "connect to itunes " screen. it will not go away nor will restoring it work either. what do i do?
Mine gave me an error in itunes side that it didnt recognize the phone. But when I unplugged and re plugged it it was fine. Or is yours on the screen with the little plug? You might have to go to Apple. I have that happen to a friend on the 7 upgrade. She needed a new phone. oy!

My ipod naaIno is stuck in the lock position, my hold switch will not turn off even when I move it. I have tried restoring it and resetting it and it still comes back on in the hold/locked postion. It will only play when placed on a docking station and then I cant scroll to pick songs, I can only go to next song using buttons on docking station.
You will need to have the hold switch replaced.

My IPod nano 6 connects to my library but will not receive new music and playlists
My ipod 6th generation will not receive new songs and playlists from my library on my PC. My ipod shows up in the itunes library when I connect it. It syncs when it is plugged in to computer but the sync is very short. I changed to a new computer back in September 2013. My old one crashed. I have synced my ipad 2 and my iPhone 4S to itunes library on the new computer. All these devices show up in the "manage my devices" list except my ipod 6th generation. There is no "add device" to this itunes account, only an option to deauthorize the computer, the iPhone or the ipad.
The ipod downloaded songs that I added to my computer library on my new computer, but will not add new purchased songs nor library playlists.
My computer is shared with my husband. His user account on the same computer shows up in my "manage devices" section of my itunes account. He doesn't use it. I thought I had to add my itunes on his part of the computer because his is the "main user".
I'm not sure what to do. Should I take my computer, iPhone, ipad and nano to an appointment at the Genius Bar at the Apple Store? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.I kept working at this after posting. On the sync page for the ipod on itunes library I chose to remove the iPods association with my old computer. It erased all the old content from the old computer and then put all my checked songs from the new computer on my iPod nano.

Itunes was updating my phone from 6.01 to 6.1 and it came up with an error. I closed the error not thinking about it and now my phone is locked up on the apple screen with the progress bar on it.

We have one imac, two iphones, two imac/iphone user accounts. My account updated itunes and the phone quite easily. The other side will not update itunes - it shows there is an update available, then says there is not. I tried installing from the apple store. It installed, but did not change the version of itunes active on the computer (we even turned it off and on, a la Windows). SO we synced his phone with my side - it updated the OS, but otherwise restored the phone to factory settings. (he is not happy). So I tried to restore it from a backup on his side just to see what would happen, and of course it can't because the phone's software is more current that his itunes.
So we're in a maddening loop. Factory settings, no updated itunes, no access to the backups.The feed is fine. The problem lies with the URL for the media files. I checked the latest episode; the file will play in a browser, and as you say on the iTunes Store; but when subscribing there is an error message that the file requires authentication.
This would happen if you had password-protected it, but that would also appear when playing in a browser. The use of PHP or similar to serve the files is asking for trouble - sometimes it works, sometimes it upsets either the Store or subscribing or both. In this case it would seem that either the scripting is throwing iTunes and leading it to believe that a password is required (though it's not bringing up the pane asking for one), or your server is reacting differently to requests from the iTunes application to the way it reacts to requests from the Store or a browser, where the protocol is different.
It's not an iTunes problem. Strictly you should be putting the actual URL of the file in the feed, not a script; and you may need to check your server settings top make sure it allows downloading in iTunes as well as playing elsewhere. -

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I tried to turn off my ipod after it started to slow down and freeze up on me and it went to the turn off slide screen, i slid the slide across to turn it off but then it went to the black load screen with the circle in the middle that indicates its loading and getting ready to turn off. well, its been stuck of that screen for over an hour and still is, i need help!
