My iphone has a lock with a circle around it at the top of the display. Does that have something to do with being remote locked?
I did send a lock command to my iPhone several months ago - but it didnt work because I did not have iCloud enabled. But I am seeing a "padlock" with a circle around it at the top of my display over to the right side next to my % battery.
Do you have the portrait orientation lock enabled? This sounds like the icon for that. Download the new iPhone User Guide for iOS 7 from the iBooks store (Free) and it shows all the icons that appear in the status bar.

I wirelessly migrated successfully my pictures and music via Wi-Fi from my PC laptop to my new Macbook Air but I don't now how to access that info. So you have tried connecting to open network that do not require a password and it was still unable to connect? If that is the case.
Does Wifi appear grayed out on your iPod via Settings -> Wi-fi?

Safari 5.1.5 shows .pdf web pages as black. The same thing happens with Firefox, at least with the few pages I've checked. Does this have something to do with an AdobePDF plug-in? I recently had to restore my system from Time Machine backup.
The following appears to have I solved my problem with Safari 5.1.5, 5.1.6 and 5.1.7. I also have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 installed.
Follow mbuffy's post dated May 10, 2012 directly above, and
Do NOT allow Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 to perform the "repair" the missing Adobe PDFViewer Plug-in when the window pops up and offers to repair Adobe PDFViewer Safari Plug-in. If Adobe does the "repair," then I can not view .pdf web pages in Safari or Firefox.
FYI, cmmartin0275 posted the following on Sep 8, 2011 in a discussion of "Missing PDF Pluggin" at https://discussions.apple.com/message/16119130#16119130:
"Just FYI to anyone with this problem...this is straight from Adobe's website.
"Adobe Reader plug-in and Acrobat plug-in are not compatible with the Safari 5.1 browser, which will ship with Mac OS X 10.7 and for 10.6 in July. Can someone please tell me why when you are sending a message to the same phone number, and they also have a I-phone, that some of the messages go in blue and you can see that it has been delivered and read, and some messages go in green and you can't see if they got the messageor if they have read the message?
SMS messages are shown in green, iMessages in blue. If the recipient is an iPhone user but doesn't have a data (WiFi or cellular) connection and you have Settings>Messages>Send as SMS enabled, that person will get your messages as SMSs until they have a data connection again.
iMessages have delivered notification (and read notification if the recipient has that feature enabled). SMS does not.

Apple still has your mobile phone number associated to the iMessages account. Normally this wouldn't be a problem as iMessages will failover to an SMS if they were not recieved but if you have an iPad still recieving messages for that phone number it won't fail.
The fix is easy... just go into your Settings on the iPad and remove your phone number from iMessages. It is under the Send & Recieve option. -

My guess is that your router is not handling DNS forwarding correctly.
Can you do an IPCONFIG /ALL from a command prompt and post the response?
Also, go into PowerShell and enter the following:
Get-ItemProperty -path hklm:\system\CurrentControlSet\services\dns\parameters
Post the response.

I never had a problem with firefox until I upgraded to firefox 7. I've always made changes to about:config, and have gone through my changes and none are related to this.
I've just checked about:crashes and I've had 34 crashes since upgrading on 11.10.11
I seemed to fix it on the 13th, as it didn't crash until the 17th, and this was done through purging flash, and then reinstalling the necessary packages.I fixed this problem by turning off hardware acceleration. At the time I also downgraded my flash to 10 (instead of 11).
This option isn't available any more. But turning off hardware acceleration has seemed to fix it. -
I can not get my battery life to last an entire work day. All I really do is check emails, calendars and facebook. Usually by 4pm, it is 3/4 of the way used up. Someone told me that I could be because of my apps and that they could be runnign all the time. Is there a way to turn them off when not using?

My wifi hotspot on my iPad can't be used. Does it have something to do with the device?
I try to use my iPad hotspot on my android device. I managed to connect to it once using wifi hotspot. And now, everytime I try to reconnect. It won't work.
1: Backup your user files folders of Documents, Music, Pictures etc., to a external powered drive (not TimeMachine) and disconnect.
2: Insert the 10.6 installer disk and reboot holding c
3: Simply reinstall OS X without erasing the drive, it will overwrite the installed version of OS X and the root level software, but leave your Applications folder contents (expect Apple bundled programs) and user files alone. (but backup anyway in case it fails)
4: Reboot and the Integro is gone out of your system, but there may still be something laying around in Applicaitons to delete. Use Software Update to get up to date.
5: You don't need anti-virus on a Mac, Apple provides it already for you sight unseen.
6: If you Software update, the bad certificate issues are pulled, thus are not a threat.
