- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Yes, I understand. That number can't be used for SMS, however, The iPad has no built in SMS capabilites, only iMessage. The only way you can get an iMessage to show with a phone number is if you have an iPhone tied to the same Apple ID. Otherwise, the iMessages will show up with your Apple ID.
If you want to SMS from your iPad, you will need an app such as TextFree.

Have you tried deleting the songs from Settings?
Settings -> General -> Usage -> Manage Storage (not the iCloud link!) -> Music and then click Edit to enable you to be able to delete.

Yes, I connected the phone to my iMac which is the original computer it is backed up on. From iTunes I had no option except to restore, which I did. Still no luck. Still just see the graphic. :-(
