my son was trying to find out the password of my phone so after many failed attempts my phone disabled.it says to connect to itunes but when i plug in my phone its says iTunes cannot connect to my phone because its locked with a password and that i have to unlock it before i can do anything but how can i unlock it if its disabled!

If you forgot (or don't know) your passcode, restore the device from backup on the last computer it was synced with when the passcode was turned on... this will remove the passcode. If you do not have access to the last computer it was synced with, you will have to force it into recovery mode & restore as a new device.

The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone/iPod Touch is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.
If your carrier offers Blacklisting & they Blacklist the phone, it will be unusable as a phone.
If locked with a passcode, all a thief or whoever finds it has to do is force the phone into recovery mode & restore it. While this deletes all data on the phone, it also removes the passcode so the phone can then be used as a phone or touch.

You should have no need to use the Old Sync account.
As long as device or devices are Firefox 29 or later (They should all be Firefox 30 now) you should use the New Sync.
You may use the same email address with both accounts.

If you login to your account on http://www.icloud.com is the iPad listed in the Find My iPhone part of your account ? If not then try toggling it 'off' and back 'on' on your iPad

Restore it as explained in the article you were just reading. If you're running iOS 7 with Find My iPhone enabled, you'll have to force it into recovery mode in order to restore it (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808).

Connect it to your computer and open iTunes on the computer. Select your phone under Devices in the iTunes sidebar. Click on the Restore button. If you don't see a Restore button for some reason, then use the following to put your phone into Recovery mode:
