My iPhone has trouble connecting when I plug in my lightning connector
Anybody else have this problem and is there a fix.
For me this is a general problem. Connecting and reconnecting frequently. When left quite still it usually stays connected, at least with new cables.
My work provides cables and hence I have the oportunity to try several, and they all show the same pattern (probably because the she-part of the plug in the phone is part of the problem).
Also the earplug sound level and quality deteriorates quickly.
I hope that Apple has refurbished the "lightning" for 5S and 5C.

I have a Virgin media wifi Hub and a TP Link wifi range extender and have intermittent connection issues.
Unhelpfully i have heard rumours that iphones and iPads don't react well to environments with range extenders.
I have checked the firmware of the extender (it's up to date).
I have checked the settings of the extender - going through a factory reset/clear all settings and initial set up - they all look fine.
The iPhone and iPad are both iOS7.0.2 and do not have any issue connecting to wifi within "well known high street coffee shops".
I've searched for any settings obvious or otherwise on the devices in order to resolve this.
Any suggestions gratefully received.I use an Apple Airport Extreme and two Apple Airport Express devices for my WiFi Network. The two Apple Express devices are set up as range extenders. This setup works well, with the exception of when I use my Microwave Oven the newer and furthest Airport Express drops the connection to any devices that were using it. I have to unplug that Express and then the devices reconnect. I am sharing this only to say that interference can play a part in Network issues with Range Extenders. My newer Airport Express is a Dual Mode supporting 2.4 and 5.0 at the same time. Any connected device capable of 5.0 will use the faster signal.
Don't know if your Network devices allow for manual Channel selection but if so you might want to try some various channels to see if that offers a reliable connection. -

I have an Ipad 2 that I use to view an IP camera over a Wifi network. The Ipad is in a vehicle that leaves the Wifi range and then returns to the range. Upon returning to the range, the Ipad has trouble connecting to the network. (30 seconds) The Ipad will eventually connect to the network, but by this time the driver is frustrated. I have moved the antenna to within 20' of where the vehicle comes to a stop. My Iphone does not have a problem connecting or reconnecting when used side by side with the Ipad. Both the Ipad and Iphone have Otter box covers. Has anyone run into this problem or have any suggestions?
30 seconds to reconnect to a WiFi network is not unusual, especially in an environment where other radio signals on similar frequencies are present. Sorry about that.
You might get better times by letting the WiFi base station pick another channel. But you might not. -
My iphone went blank and when I plugged it into outlet the screen shows the itunes logo and a picture of what looks like the charger. I tried to reset it and it does not respond. Can anyone help?
That screen means it has gone into recovery mode. You need to connect to a computer running iTunes by following the instructions in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 for the procedure of recovery mode connection.

My iphone has always connected automatically and without problem to the wifi at work i.e. BTBusinesshub and at home BTHomehub but yesterday it would not connect at work. It is ok at home but again today at work it is not connecting. It appears to try but is not connecting, please help.
You can try doing a reset, hold down the home/power button until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up - then check wifi - if that doesn't work then
do a network reset note: you will have to reenter wifi password again when your in range.
settings - general - reset - reset network settings. If that doesn't work then I would talk to your IT dept. -

Version 11.1.5.5 of iTunes was just released today. If you update to that, does that help with the recognition troubles?

My iphone is not working when i plug off from charger. Evenmore when it is on the charger and it still not working, it asks to connect to i-tunes but i can't and i can see only emergency calls. What should i do?
If it only works when connected to a charger, that would indicate a battery issue.
As for the other issue... do as it suggests and connect to iTunes then restore. There is no logical, intelligent expectation that anything on the device can be accessed as long as the "Connect to iTunes" screen is displaying. -
Is there any way to get a log of the bluetooth devices my Iphone has been connected to? I recenly had my Bluetooth Jabra stolen from my car and now a simliar one is on Craigslist. I'd like to give my connection log to the police before I go and see if my Iphone recognizes the device in question. Any way to get any type of bluetooth device connection log out of my iphone?
Your contacts should still be on whatever program you sync your iphone to (i.e. Outlook, address book).
The iphone is not a stand alone device. It is designed to be synced with a computer. If you have not been syncing with a compatible program, then you are out of luck. Your contacts are not included in the back-up because it is meant to be synced with your computer.

I recently put on a PowerPoint presentation at DU, in Denver Colorado; signed on as DU guest to access Internet link. SInce then I haven't been able to get e-mail on my Iphone - Cannot Get Mail, Server Stopped Responding. I tried all previous suggestions, such as rebooting phone, updating software etc. I went to MacBook Pro and tried logging on to yahoo e-mail. Apparently there was a security risk to my e-mail account so Yahoo locked up my account. I reset my password, it was verified through text message, and Voila it worked. Don't forget you also have to change this on your Iphone: go into settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; click on your e-mail browser, then account and enter your new password, click done and it will verify on you phone as well. I've seen this happen when the phone was encrypted... Other than calling apple/deleting passcodes I don't know of any solution.
If you're keen on waiting, upload your photos to dropbox, that's the way I do it. -

I am trying to sync contacts from my iPhone to Mac. When I plug in my iPhone, I do not get the Info tab in iTunes (as mentioned in how to sync on this website). How can I get the info tab to appear?

You can try resetting your iPad and iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.
