My iPhone is crashing down for iOS 8.0.2 update

I updated my iPhone software from iOS 8.0 to iOS 8.0.2 through Wi-Fi on my phone yesterday. And it caused a lot of issues. First, all my apps downloaded from the App Store just DO NOT LAUNCH. All apps just stop at the splash screen. Second, Safari CANNOT update any password to iCloud Keychain. Once I touched the update all button, Safari just stop responding and crash down soon. Third, iPhone will stop responding for a little while right after the keyboard shows or disappears.

That´s a copy of my claim to Apple with the issues I have in my iPhone 5 after Ios 8.x update. Waiting for solutions....
Good afternoon,
Since installing Ios 8 in my Iphone, I´m having some issues with my phone. When I try to use my phone, sometimes it crashes, the tactile screen doesn´t work and vertical subtle stripes appear in the screen. If I lock the phone with the top right button and then unlock it, the phone works fine again for a few seconds and crashes again. Sometimes the phone works fine for a few hours, but then the problems become again..
I have been talking with the Apple support from Spain on 2 times.
First time Id case: 669200202. They tell me some people are having some issues with Ios 8.0.1 and I was given instructions to restore my phone via iTunes and setup the phone as a new terminal, but that doesn´t work...then with the new version, Ios 8.0.2, we do the same. I install the new Ios 8.0.2 on friday 26. Phone setup as a new terminal, no backup files restored. All fine, but yesterday (saturday 27) by the end of the day I began with the same problems...
Today I call again to Apple support.
Second time Id case: 670100537. They told me that Ios 8.0.2 it´s not the problem. I have proposed to send a video showing the problem, but they don´t want it.. They think that maybe the poblem was there time ago (hardware problem), but Ios 8.x has revealed that problem. I don´t know if this is true or not, but with Ios 7.x my phone works completely fine, and now I can´t do anything...
The phone was purchased 26 of April of 2013 to Phone House company (In Navarra, Spain). The phone was replaced 20 of June of 2013 by Apple distribution Internationl, Ireland,  because the first unit was defective (customer order D94840590, Apple order number 2451038412). As I said the phone works well since I install Ios 8.x and now Apple support from Spain tell me that must be a hidden problem with the phone that Ios 8 revealed? This is not serious!
The 1 year warranty expired and now Apple Spain told me that I can make a claim in Phone House , where I bought the phone, because a manufacturing defect. (If the phone had been purchased directly from Apple they told me they will give other solutions, but that is not the case....it´s a joke?) That sounds me real bad. I´m going to have problems with Phone House because they will tell me that it´s a software problem of Ios 8.x and that I will have to talk with Apple.... Summarizing, I will be without phone, lying around Apple and Phone House for an unknown time and maybe I will have to pay for repair something that was fine before Ios 8 install. Not to mention that I loose all may photos, contacts and other information that was in my phone because they told me that I can´t restore my backup copy...
When I buy Apple products I hope to have a support that other companys doesn´t give, but now Apple Spain doesn´t give me the support I expect from a serious and big company. If my phone was fine with Ios 7.x and now with Ios 8.x crashes, I think that Apple must repair and solve that problem quickly and with the least harm to me. I don´t know if it´s a software or hardware problem. What I know is that since Ios 8.x install my phone only have problems...
I have been talkin with Nikolaos Theodoropoulos ([email protected]). He send me via email his contact details if I want to talk again. Read at the end of this document the email I sent to Nikolaos. I have not reply from him.....
I hope you will be able to give another solution, with the less wasting of time and money for me.
Thanks for your help,
Javier Seoane

Saludos,

  • My iPhone has crashed once installing iOS 5

Is anyone else having prodblems trying to install the iOS 5 on the iPhone 4?
I backed up first like most people have mentioned to do as it can lose everything.
I installed the OS and said install to phone which it did well until it decided to crash my phone. To now it has taken me 2 hours to try and restore my phone.
I have restarted the computer, changed the cable (even though i know this isnt a prodblem) and am currently on hold to Apple to try and resolve the problem.
I have been getting error messages which include these code: -1, 37 - these are the most common ones, 1618 and oxE8000065
Any guesses in how i can get my phone to work again?

If your iPhone does not search for a wi-fi connection before you are asked whether you want to set it up as new phone or restore a backup from iTunes, then I guess you have the same issue as highlighted in this thread:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/19638850?ac_cid=tw123456#19638850
iCloud back ups can only be accessed via wi-fi that's why you are not granted this option, I have the exact same issue.

  • Crash reporting for ios

Does anyone have a working method for implementing app crash reporting for an iOS Air app? (I'm thinking of sending to google analytics if it makes any difference) Thanks.

If you agree to share diagnostic data with Apple, they have the data.
Whether they share it with the developers so they can improve their apps, I am not sure.

  • Iphone 4 is rebooting after ios 7.1.1 update

    Hi,
My Iphone 4 is rebooting and shutting down frequently after ios 7.1.1 update, daily not able to receive calls as it is in shutdown mode and trying to reboot also taking more time, Can some one suggest me the best solution for this problem???

    Hi Sekhar_Nutakki,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I recommend these steps if your iPhone is shutting down or restarting unexpectedly:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
    Best Regards,
    Jeremy

  • My iPhone no longer syncs after iOS 5.0.1 update.

I have an iPhone 3GS (16GB), and ever since I updated to iOS 5.0.1 it has been refusing to sync via USB and WIFI. Apparently it needs an additional 8.32GB of space, despite the fact that nothing's changed with regards to the content being synced. I've attached a screenshot for reference.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I had this issue too. I did an OTA update.
I tried turning off my iPhone, removed and reinserted my SIM and turning it on again a few times without success. I also inserted my wife's SIM, it was OK. When I tried with mine again, it was not. I also tried going in and out of Airplane Mode too without success.
Afte a bit of trial and error, I finally got it to work.
    What I did was:
    1. Turn off WIFI.
    2. Turn off my iPhone.
    3. Removed and reinserted my SIM.
    4. Turned on my iPhone. Almost immediately I saw the  "3G" indicator and after a couple of seconds, my SIM worked!
    5. Turned WIFI back on.
From my issue, it seems the iOS 5.0.1 update got "confused" with the network setup.

  • My iPhone 5 died after the iOS 6.1.2 update

I updated my Iphone 5 to the new iOs 6.1.2 last Thursday and ever since, the battery drains within a few hours without me even using it. Last night it got to the point where it wouldn't even charge anymore and now I am stuck with a dead iPhone 5. Before it died I tried to do a reset and everything to try and fix the problem. I know other people have the battery drain issue, but did anyone else's iPhone just competely die and won't charge anymore either? Any help is appreciated, thank you.

I also forgot to mention that when it did have power, it wouldn't let me shut it off to try and conserve the battery life. Right when it powered down it would power right back up.

  • IPhone no longer works after iOS 5.0.1 update

My iPhone 4 no longer recognizes its SIM card after updating from iOS 5.0 to 5.0.1.
I followed the instructions in the article on the official Apple support site. Removing and reinserting the SIM card did not help, so I used iTunes to reset the iPhone.
The result is that after switching on, the iPhone tells me that there is no SIM card in the slot (even if there there is) and that I should insert a SIM card with no PIN lock into the slot.
I do not have a SIM card with no PIN lock.
My phone company only distributes SIM cards with a PIN lock.
    What can I do now?

I had this issue too. I did an OTA update.
I tried turning off my iPhone, removed and reinserted my SIM and turning it on again a few times without success. I also inserted my wife's SIM, it was OK. When I tried with mine again, it was not. I also tried going in and out of Airplane Mode too without success.

  • IPhone 4 Crash Increase on iOS 5/iOS5.1.1....

Has any iPhone 4 users been experiencing more crashes than normal? I cannot open Facebook or Twitter on safari or their apps. My iPhone acts as if it's loading the page data up then the screen goes black and safari crashes. Same with their respective apps. It's as if those two pages overload my phone. I had this problem with iOS5 and it's recent update iOS 5.1.1. Today my phone crashed 23 times in a row (yes I counted!) before I gave up trying to open them.
Along with the two issues above, I noticed if I send any iMessages to anyone during the time I am experiencing the high number of crashes, they delete off my phone AND the recipients phone. They will deliver, but when I open iMessage after a crash they will have gone.
Last week I plugged my phone to iTunes and did a software upgrade and imediately started having the issue, then within about two hours of upgrading to 5.1.1 I I had to do a software restore because it was SO bad. It solved the problem for all of about NEVER lol I thought it might have something to do with the ram needed to run those apps and load those pages so I deleted ALL my images and loads of apps I don't use, that only increased my storage size. When I started experiencing these issues I had about 4gb left of my 16gb storage, after a restore and clean out I had 10gb.  When I started experiencing the problems I was still on iOS 5.0 I'm now on iOS 5.1.1 and it's gotten worse and thrown the new issue of iMessages deleting that I have sent in to the mix.
Lastly, I noticed its not a constant issue. I will have a series of crashes, my phone will act incredibly slow, iMessage deletes messages etc, Facebook and Twitter don't open, in fact my phone will crawl so slowly it's pure agony, switching my phone off and the back on doesn't help, and then it will suddenly work again. Like today, I was out sat in the huge post office queue and tried to use Facebook via safari and it kept crashing, happened over and over, it was like this for about 30 minutes, then it sorted itself out again and now I am at home I can use Facebook via safari.
Come to think of it, could it be related to the fact that I was trying to load those apps and we pages up on 3G and not wifi?
Sorry for the long post but any suggestions or help to remedy this issue would be great.

i am experiencing same problem!!!really very frustrated

  • IPhone 5 crashes repeatedly with iOS 7.1

    Hi there,
I have an iPhone 5 (16GB) and it worked fine up till recently. About 10 days ago I updated the system to iOS 7.1. It went well for a few days, but some days ago the phone crashed and restarted when I was typing text in Facebook Messenger.
Since then the phone crashed multiple times (almost daily) and usually when using the built-in apps.
    It crashed when I used:
    - text messaging,
    - the built-in camera app,
    - the built-in weather app (multiple times).
It seems that this is OS related.
Does anyone experienced the same issue?
And do you have any solutions or suggestions?
    Restore?
    Thanks in advance...

I have an iPhone 5 on iOS 7.1 and have had none of those problems.
Something may have gone amiss in the upgrade to iOS 7.1 on your iPhone.
To correct this follow these steps:
    1. Backup your iPhone using iTunes or iCloud.
    2. Use iTunes to completely restore your iPhone as Factory new.
    3. Monitor behavior to see if the iPhone is stable. If not, you may have a hardware problem - if so, contact Apple support.
    4. Restore your iPhone from your backup above.
    5. Check stability to confirm that it remains normal.

  • My iphone 3g shuts down for no reason

I upgraded my iphone to OS 3.o 2 weeks ago and now it started shutting down with no reason. Any ideas??
    thank you

    Determine the following:
    - If your Battery life approximate? Charge through Wall Charger for ATLEAST 2-3 hours then monitor it.
    - Is there an application that you are running while this occurs? If it's a third party application, Delete it then Reinstall it.
    - During calls: are you sure it shuts down? Maybe unresponsive at Proximity Sensor or a Leather case, a smudge, can be blocking the sensor.
    - Has any liquid been in contact with the iPhone?
    - Do a Restore as New, it could be that your OS3.0 download was corrupted, redownload the update and install it again on your iPhone making sure you have created a Backup of your contents - once the Download and Update has been completed you will be able to Restore from a Backup as the Backups do not have firmware on them.
    Goodluck.

my 1 year old white iphone 3G has been shutting for no reason when the battery level is less than a quarter. and it takes a full 1-2 minute to restart when i force shut it by pressing the home and sleep/wake buttons together. the main problem comes when it restarts, half the battery will be used up to restart it.
can anyone resolve it ? or will apple resolve it ???

I have a iPhone 4S that I bought in April. No problem with it until today. For no reason it shut down. I know how to re-boot it but why does it continue to do this? It has happened several times this morning. Is this a software problem?

There is no such thing as a "hard reset".
If basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide fails to resolve the issue, then take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

Warranties expire, hardware eventually fails, ignorant people live with issues for long periods of time and the above statement is simply ignorant.
