My iphone is eating up data quickly. Help

I upgraded to iphone 4 on Thursday and in less than 48 hours I've managed to use nearly a 100mb of data. The only apps I've downloaded (downloaded from pc not directly off phone) are BBC news, facebook, live profile, met office.
I've switched location data off, pushed notifications - every possible thing.
If i log into facebook, check status updates it uses nearly 0.5 megabyte everytime. So if i'm on facebook app for 2 minutes it uses about 2mb :S
I close every app by double cliking the home button every time. i've reset to factory settings even and it still happens. Even if i go on BBC news, it takes a lot of data.
I dont stream videos, download music - i cant enjoy my new phone. I know i can connect to wi-fi, but thats not the point. I cant use my phone on the go cos i'm scared of reaching my 500mb limit with Vodfaone soon.
Nobody at vodafone knows why, even though they admit it unusualy high usage for what i used it for. Help please!

What exactly are you seeing on the phone's screen ? If the iTunes icon and cable then the phone is in recovery mode, in which case it's too late to take a new backup or to copy any content off the phone - you will have to connect the phone to your computer's iTunes and reset it back to factory defaults, after which you can restore to the last backup that you took or just resync your content to it

after updating my iphone 5 to ios 8.0.2 iphone eat all my cell data (500m) in one day. all push notifications/background refreshing are off, i always closing apps trying not to loose battery charge. i downloaded few updates by myself, its like 100mb max. rest of the traffic iphone eats by itself. im really careful about this kind of settings and 100% sure i didnt turn on any of em. so what should i do with that lost traffic and most important - iphone gonna eats that amount of cell data every few days????????

This is strange because my wife's iPhone 5c did the exact same thing. In one day it was 536MB. The other weird thing is that this happened while the iPhone was not being used. She was at work during this time and her iPhone was off and in the back room. I did call AT&T to ask them about it and they didn't know what happened either. The most they did was to put a note on the account that if we go over our data limit that they will credit it back this month. I've been checking every couple of days and it hasn't happened again. I'm glad I'm not the only one but I wish that there was an explanation.

Ok so you want Apple to address the problem, but yet you don't want to take it to them just in case they can't fix it? What if they can fix it? Complaining here certainly won't fix it.

Iphone 5 through AT&T, No Data Service- Help!

I just got my iphone 5 yesterday, and it connected great to my wireless network. Problem now is that I am away from my wireless and need to use my data plan. There is no connection in the top left where the 3g or 4g banner should be..
The phone keeps telling me that i am not connected to the internet.
Does anyone have any insight into this? Is this something i need to take to the AT&T store, or the apple store?
I just checked my plan and i am currently enrolled in unlimited data.

You can't send emails? Do you receive an error message when you try to send them? Have you done ANY troubleshooting on the device at all? If you don't have time to try things yourself, it will almost certainly take longer to try it in here.

Itunes wont recognize my iphone 5s!!! Please help

Hi Everyone.. can someone please help me? Ive been searching this forum for 2 days now and cannot find a fix to the issue I am having.
My wife and I had iphone 4s' untill we recently upgraded to the 5s... we got both phones on the same day and simply installed from backup and everything appeared to run smoothly in both cases... Until i recently noticed that some of the music was missing from a playlist I made a while ago.
Naturally I thought to sync the phone.. This is not possible over wifi (device options are greyed out) and it wont even work using a cable as the device driver times out. Now please note I have forced an update to the driver multiple times now following advice on this site, and I have made sure that my windows updates and itunes software are fully upto date, yet I still cannot get itunes to see my phone... or my wifes phone!
Iphone software is upto date and i have tried different cables just to be sure, and still nothing! Help me apple support community.. your my only hope!

Make sure you have iPhoto's Photo Stream preferences set as follows:
What happens when you drag photos from the Photo Stream window in iPhoto onto the Events icon in the left hand pane? That should import the photos into the library.
If it doesn't thenTry the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).

3 - launch iPhoto, reset its various preferences and try again.

Need some quick help - fairly urgent!

I've just taken over a new job and have been the task of finishing the new brochure for Christmas, there's not a lot to do but a lot of the measurements need changing
This is the layout I'm dealing with..
All the boxes have been made in Illustrator
The text has been done in In'Design and it seems every piece of text is it's own box if that makes sense
My question is, if I select the whole specification box - copy, paste it into Adobe Illustrator and change the text there, then paste the edited box back into In-Design, will I lose quality when it gets printed?
I'm worried if I do it this way it may come out blurred? Or am I just worrying about nothing?

I couldn't find an Illy file in the end and have ended up creating tables in ID to replicate what was already there!
Didn't take very long and I guess if I didn't do it now, I'd come across the same situation next time!

There certainly are viable "quick fix" solutions proposed here, and if the dealine is looming and this file never needs to be touched again I might be tempted, but they are only postponing the pain for a file that needs periodic updates, and I wouldn't waste effort on them, myself, when that time can be put toward a proper rebuild now if that's the ultimate goal.

Iphone 5c time and date not working right

hi guys I would really appreciate your help if you have any information or similarities on this.

This same problem has happened again a few times. Tech support says the problem is the cmos battery and I need to send it in to get it fixed. Well, this is my only laptop so I cannot be without it for a few weeks so I can't do that.
This is extremely frustrating because this laptop was purchased less than a year ago. Why is this happening? I had my previous Dell laptop for 6 years and never had an issue like this. This is unacceptable to me. If I could still return it, I would have.

Thanks for that, on the sync via iTunes, when my iphone is connected to iTunes via USB my photos tab says my iphone but I can never see any pics there. If I press Sync it still doesn't show anything.
Correction from my original post, it only comes up with PhotoStream on my computer when I'm connected via USB.

I need a quick help on Pro*C. Here's the details on the same:
- My program takes one input file as parameter. Lets assume argv[2] is the name of the inputfile, which is my input parameter as well.
- ps_filename = argv[2]; I'm copying argv[2] i.e. filename in a variable called ps_filename
- Now this inputfile can be of two types, say type A_yyyymmddhhmmss.dat and B_yyyymmddhhmmss.dat.
- Therefore for every run I'll have one of this value as input parameter which will be copied into the ps_filename.
- Now I need to call two different functions based on the inputfile i.e. if ps_filename like 'A%' then call func A() else call func B();
But in ProC/C there is no provision to use like operator.
Therefore my question is how can I have ps_filename like 'A%' in C?
Can anyone please help me to solve this issue?

For example, in Pro*C:
