My Iphone is frozen and it says connect to itunes but it will not reconnect it says it is already updated
please help me I am on a deadline this morning and need to be on my way out of town by 10 this am and cannot leave without this phone working
Try resetting it: hold the on/off and home buttons 10-20 seconds until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the off slider that appears first, release and wait for it to restart. If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to put it in recovery mode and restore it from your most recent backup as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY. -
my iphone 4s is stuck on the "connect to itunes " screen. it will not go away nor will restoring it work either. what do i do?
Mine gave me an error in itunes side that it didnt recognize the phone. But when I unplugged and re plugged it it was fine. Or is yours on the screen with the little plug? You might have to go to Apple. I have that happen to a friend on the 7 upgrade. She needed a new phone. oy!

I put video clips together and added music off of iTunes

I cannot afford any 3rd party software so i went to itunes and manually entered all my playlists. As I had indicated my purchased music was on my new computer just not the playlists and I could not sync my ipod. After I rebuilt all my playlists I tried to restore my ipod to factory defaults/new. All of the steps called for in apple support and elsewhere were not available to me. I connected my ipod, went to my computer, right clicked my ipod, and formatted. That wiped my ipod so when I connected to itunes it then gave me a restore option. I did the restore and all is good in the empire again. I can now buy new music and sync my ipod so I am a happy camper.

my ipod has "ipod is disabled connect ti itunes" but it will not let me put in the passcod or anything! i cant get off this display?
You have to restore:
Forgotten Passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode -
my daughter had disabled her ipad by putting in passcode to many times, says connect to itunes but then it wont work and says passcode needs to be put in
Follow the instructions in this article http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212 and you should be able to fix the ipad but keep in mind there is a it is very likely that you will lose all information on the ipad following the instructions in the article

by juggling the phone whilst washing up, I accidently dropped it in the sink, I had just became unemployed so no more insurance by a day..
I have follwed advice dried out phone in rice and in airing cupboard for nearly two weeks
Screen looks OK minor discolour on top of screen but no IOS

any ideas in trying to get it to work or is that it, new phone required which I can not really afford at present.
Controller 62It's time for a new (replacement) iPhone. Take it to an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Provider. You may well receive some credit for your old one.

I just got a new iphone 3GS and was trying to sync it with my itunes information from my old phone. However, I keep getting multiple error messages and after the sync is complete, I find that everything has transferred except my purchased itunes music and voice memos (I record my class lectures). I am not sure what I can do to fix this. Any ideas?
The error messages are:

The iTunes Store will direct you to the same article. As Hackintosh said, first delete the track from iTunes, allowing it to move the track file to the trash. Then in iTunes on your Mac, sign into your iTunes Store account and go here:
In the window you'll be taken to, make sure that the Music tab and "not on this computer" are selected, then locate the defective track in the list and click this button next to the track name:

My iphone 3gs will not connect to itunes and it says that I need to do a system restore. It also says that I need to enter my password on the iphone to connect to itunes but I can not do this because the phone is in emergency phone call mode only.
Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
Unfortunately, the data on your phone is already gone if you're seeing the connect to iTunes logo. -

If you want to solve your problems, unjailbreak. And don't do it again, because jailbreaking causes problems as you read about in that article. You can try Recovery Mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

Open current iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer with lightning cable, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, click Restore button of iTunes.
