My Iphone is frozen with a USB / Itues logo & I cant restore

When i connect it to my computer it says it is in restore mode. I try restoring it but it keeps quoting me error 9.
I've tried all the suggestions and no luck. Note: last night I updated my Iphone software... I wonder if this has caused my problems.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?

    Hi there beee19,
You may find the troubleshooting steps in the article below helpful.
Resolve specific iTunes update and restore errors
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694
    Check USB connections
    Related errors: 13, 14, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 1611, 1643-1650, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response,” and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
    Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you checked your connections and are still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues.

Unknown "source"?  Do you mean unknown "error" followed by a number?

Follow the instructions in the article.  When you connect your phone again, you may have to press both the home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo reappears, then continue pressing the home button until iTunes detects the phone in recovery mode.

  • HT1430 My Iphone is frozen with a screen message restore failed -can't turn it off nothing no response?

My Iphone 5 is frozen with a screen message restore failed ...I can't even turn it off ?

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.

  • HT4623 My iphone is frozen with the apple icon and progress bar at 5% cannot update

My iphone4 is frozen with the apple icon and progress bar at 5% cannot update

    Same issues here.
iPhone 5 was fine until I restarted the device... now the screen flickers on and off (with the white Apple logo
and frozen progress bar overlayed on the screen).
When I try to restore, I get a "-1" error.
Well I just looked over at the screen, and everything is now fine. No flickering, no logo... the screen looks normal.
    Hmmm...

  • Why is iPhone non-compatible with other USB peripherals?

So last night what I presumed was a simple update to 6.1.3 turned into 1.5 torturous hours. The reason being that I left my webcam plugging into my PC while doing the update on iTunes. Later on, the phone wouldn't even restore, but once I unplugged the webcam, it went fine.
Can anyone tell me why iPhone/iTunes has such a problem with copying with other USB peripherals being plugged in? No other USB item I have shows this level of imcompatibility.
    P.

Because it pulls maximum power from the USB port while most other USB devices do not.

  • My iPhone is frozen with USB + iTunes image. What can I do?

I tried to update my iPhone but it got stuck in the middle of it with the image of USB and iTunes. Now I can´t get out of that and my computer doesn´t recognize my phone any more.
Can anyone help me with this?
I have tried shutting the phone down with "sleep" and "home". Same image appears anyway.
I have uninstalled iTunes and other apple software and installed them all again. But it still doesnt recognize that there is a phone connected. Though I can hear the sound when I connect it to the USB.
All this happened after the update that didn´t finish (or that did get stuck).
Now I can´t use my phone and wonder if anyone have tips of what I can do.
    Thanks in advance

Turn off your phone. Make sure it's disconnected to your computer. NOW, plug your phone back to your computer while pressing the home button. Keep pressing until iTunes prompts you this "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode....". Then choose restore.

  • HT2305 my iphone 5 will not update to the new i0s 7.  The phone is frozen with a usb, arrow, to itunes

Update for iOS 7 locked up my iphone 5

You need to connect your iPhone to a computer and launch iTunes to restore the device.
If you can restore, tap Settings > General > About
Make sure Available indicates at least 3GB.

  • Will the iPhone 5 work with existing USB car chargers?

    Just curious (and maybe stupid).

"4G" is a marketing term, not a technical term.
The iPhone 5 can operate on any compatible HSPA+ network anywhere in the world. HSPA+ is defined by the ITU as "4G" and is marketed as such by many carriers. The only iPhones I'm aware of that display "4G" in the status bar are those originally intended for AT&T in the U.S.
LTE is also defined as "4G" and is marketed as such by pretty much every carrier that has an LTE network. When connected to an LTE network, "LTE" should appear in the status bar.
The frequencies used for LTE networks vary from region to region across the globe. In order to use an available LTE network, the phone you're using must have been sold to work in your region.
Apple doesn't have to "enable" anything for it to work. All you need is a phone that's compatible with your network, and a plan that allows for LTE data.
If you purchased the phone from another region, the U.S. for example, it will NOT work on the LTE netwok in your part of the world.

  • Charging iPhone 5 Lightning with Mini USB

In my car is a built in charger with a Mini USB (not Micro) adapter. How can I connect it with my iPhone 5 Lightning? Apple offers an adapter Lightning to Micro USB, but no Mini USB adapter.
    josjz

If you have the micro to lightning and the mini usb is a socket
then a Micro usb male to mini usb male should fix it
    Google it
I found many ,it just depends on your Counrty
or a lightning cable with  a normal USB socket to micro plug adapter

  • IPhone screen frozen with the "restore" logo on it

I can not get my computer to reconize the iPhone anymore.
My phone is stuck on the "restore" screen and iTunes won't reconize it. I've tried reinstalling iTunes, rebooting the computer, holding down the power and home keys for 10 seconds .. nothing.
Is there any way to "cancel" a restore on the iphone?

Hello, Mayhem300. I am sorry to see the inconvenience you are experiencing today.
What image are you seeing exactly?
    An Apple Logo?
A USB cord with an iTunes Logo?
    A connect to iTunes message?
If iTunes is not seeing your iPhone to complete the restore try a couple of the steps below. Sadly there is no way to stop the restore process as it seems like it already initiated and needs to finish.
    1. While iPhone is connected to the PC/Mac.... Hold down the Home Button, and Sleep/Wake Button.
Do not let go to you either see a Yellow Yield Sign, or a USB Icon saying connect to iTunes. After this iTunes should see it. And inform you it detected an iPhone needing a restore.
Proceed with this. At this time all Data on iPhone will be lost. If your restoring on the original PC/Mac you will have an option to restore from backup file. and or Re-sync your content from your PC/Mac back to the iPhone.
If this fails. Repeat the steps with a different USB Port, or a New user, or even another PC/Mac
If you feel you need better assistance. Please call 1-800-My-iPhone or make an appointment at your local Apple Retail Store http://www.apple.com/retail/
