Just migrate from iPhone 5 32GB to iPhone 6 64GB (using iTunes backup and restore). Migrated my 19.6GB of photo library to my new iPhone 6 as well.
However, browsing through my photos on the new iPhone 6 has very slow-responsiveness, and sometime just freezes. Have not encountered such issue on my old iPhone 5. Tried reset the iPhone 6, restore iOS 8.0.2 using iTunes, but without much helps.

IPhone 4 with ios7 messaging slow response

I have a n iPhone 4 and was able to upgrade my os to ios7. Have encountered some problems on messaging and maybe you can fix it. My messaging when using appears to have a very slow response, almost 5 to 7 seconds delay, when typing any letters or numbers. thanks a lot... im a big fan of mac hehe...

I had this problem and found several threads on here with the same problem. It seems to be a fault with iPhone 4 and ios7, that many people have reported.
There is a workaround. Before you turn your phone off, put it into 'aeroplane mode', then turn it off. Then when you turn it back on, turn off 'aeroplane mode'. If you do this, any messages sent while it is off, will be received after you come out of 'aeroplane mode'.
Essentially you need to disconnect your phone from the network, before you turn it off, then reconnect to the network after you turn it on, and using aeroplane mode is the simplest way to do this.

Iphone 3g asking for Passcode over and over, dropping calls, slow response

My Iphone is just not happy. It asks for the passcode very often, drops calls and just is slow to respond. I took it into apple service and they said that an internal app was crashing within the phone. This is now the 2nd Iphone (got a replacement) that is now doing this. I dont have a lot of apps loaded, mostly email (exchange server) with calendar. If I restore the phone, it stops, but what a pain in the ars - lose contacts, email setups, etc... Can anyone shed some light on this?

My iphone was also extremely slow. I downloaded an app: System Activity Monitor. Now the speed is back to what it was when I first got it.

EJB slow response time in cluster

We have 2 clusters : cluster 1(3 managed servers) and cluster2( 2 managed servers). We have an EJB deployed on cluster2 which is being called by an application on cluster1. Issue is that this EJB gives a very slow response time (in the order of minutes). There are no errors or exceptions in the logs.
When we shut down one of the nodes on cluster2, the respose from the same EJB is very fast. Please help as to where we should look out for the issue?

Could be that you have a network configuration problem. The source of the problem is how host names and IP addresses are resolved,
and there is a workaround. RMI and other naming services use the InetAddress class to obtain resolved host names and IP addresses.
InetAddress caches lookup results to improve subsequent calls, but when it is passed a new IP address or host name, it performs a
cross-reference between the IP address and the host name to prevent address spoofing. If you supply the host name as an IP address,
InetAddress still tries to verify the name of the host. To workaround this problem, include the host name and IP address in the
hosts file on the client, for example,
127.0.0.1           localhost
172.30.0.129      SomeWebLogicServerHostName
172.30.0.130      SomeOtherWebLogicServerHostName

Slow response times

This last weekend, we migrated off of our old server 2003 cf7mx server, to a new Server 2008r2 x64 CF 9,0,1,274733 server. We are now experiencing slow response times for our server,according to the Windows Performance monitor our Avg Request times are way up. I have been going through some logs but nothing seems to leap out at me, but i am not the best CF admin. As i dont know what information would be usefull, i have tried to give all the info.

I expect the error details in CF9\runtime\logs\coldfusion-out.log will like provide a clue as to problem.
For a more long term plan I think you should do what you can to migrate the ACCESS data to SQL or some other database.

ISA 2006 slow response, connections timeout, maximum limit reached?

Hey guys,
I've been having an issue with a client's ISA Server for the past couple of weeks and haven't been able to understand why this is happening.
They have a couple of ISA Servers Enterprise Edition in an array. This ISA Servers give Internet access to the entire company. They have significant amount of traffic through a Cisco Iron Port that all the users proxy settings are configured to this device
and the Iron Port forwards the requests to the ISA Servers.
This implementation have been working fine for months, until a few weeks back that started to have slow response problems from the ISA Servers. Analyzing the reports from the ISA Servers, I've noticed an increased amount of traffic a few times this
has happened and mostly from the Iron Port. The Cisco people says this increase amount is due to the fact that the ISA Server stops responding and new requests are made at the moment from the device. We have configured the Iron port IP in the exceptions of
the Flood Mitigation Settings of the ISA Server, and configure it to take more than 20,000 connections.
Still after this configuration, the same problem raised a couple of days back. The ISA Servers stops responding and they need to be forced shut down and restarted to get them back to work.
There are also some errors from some other internal IPs that it reaches maximum connection limits, but these are about 10 errors like this only. I was thinking maybe there are some infected computers or something but they said that they scanned the ones
that show the errors and nothing is detected.
From the ISA reports of the time of the incident, I saw that it reached more than 15,000 concurrent connections. More than double of what it usually handles throughout the day.
I don't know if there is like a connection limit that the ISA can handle before it hangs of something?
Is there any ideas on what can be happening with this?

Have you check the Event logs on the ISA Server? Any error?
You could use ISABPA to do some basic troubleshootings.

Slow response - but over 500 activities per second doing something!

Hi. I'm having trouble with my iMac running slowly with lots of hangs. The system.log.7.bx2 is showing the following activity apparently over 500 times per second!

2 Questions - Charging & Slow Responsive Keyboard

Hi,
I need advise or help on 2 queries I have on iPhone 3g
1. What happens if I leave the iPhone (or iTouch for that matter) on charge for the entire night. Does it have any -ve impact on the battery life to keep it on charging even if the battery is fully charged ?
2. At times, I get very slow response from the keypad while typing sms or mail. Only 3 apps are installed. Apple Remote, Google & iPint. Does anyone else also have this issue and how can I resolve it ?

1. No need to worry - once the battery is fully charged, the charging process will stop. There is no danger of "overcharging."
2. Several people have mentioned similar slow text-entry issues. Some users have reported the issue is fixed by connecting your iPhone to iTunes and performing a Restore. (Note that doing that will update the firmware from 5A345 to 5A347, which is an "unannounced" firmware update from Apple.)

Slow response from PE3

Sorry to be posting a question about this older version but I have just discovered the lack of Adobe support for PE3 and as a low volume user, I am not particularly keen to upgrade to PE7 if it won't recognize PE3 project files, and PE3 does all I want for now anyway. I am in the middle of editing this project by adding narration and background music, and finding very slow response to virtually everything I want to do. When trying to add narrative, it takes several minutes before it will start to record, then several more to save it. If I want to change any audio effects, same thing. Won't even open a function without a long delay, let alone save it. This problem only started as I've tried to add the audio. Up to now, editing the video clips has worked fine with only minimal delays.
The file is 9MB, which I wouldn't have thought to be a problem, and it's a reasonably new system, with 2GHz dual core AMD processor, 500GB of hard drive & 2GB of memory. Not sure what other info I should provide that might help. Has anyone else had this problem and or know what I should try to fix? very appreciative of any suggestions. TIA

Is yours a Vista machine? If so, you may want to optimize it for video editing.

The other thing that will greatly affect the program's performance is what you're using for source video.
The program works best with DV-AVIs files captured over FireWire from a miniDV camcorder. Other files (such as video from hard drive or DVD camcorders) pose a variety of challenges that can impact performance.
Another key issues is photographs. If you're using them as source files, you can easily choke the program if you're not optimizing them to no larger than 1000x750 pixels in size before you bring them into your project.

Ideally i should have output at every one second, but it shows at every 2 seconds. Even i have tried to increase the interval but still i see it takes extra 1 sec. to give output.
These are the pretty newly configured Machine, do you think something to do with server perf./config/ etc ? Does this impacts perf. to my running workload on this machine ?

Well, you could simply have a gigazillion fonts on your system that mess with the text engine. in that case some serious weeding out of fonts that you never use would help immensely. Otherwise you can always turn off hardware acceleration in the preferences, assuming the issue is related to that...

Slow response on Zen Mi

Now that my Zen Micro has all the available firmware updates and is getting close to full, I have noticed that the buttons have a very slow response time....for instance, when I try to forward to the next song it freezes up for about a minute or so.... It also does this when I want to change any other features on the menu. I have performed disc clean, rebooted....everything short of redownloading firmware (I hear that many people have experienced "paperweight syndrome" after this operation!!!) Can someone with an unbiased opinion give me some suggestions as to what my next move should be?

I have the latest firmware upgrades already. Is it common for this device to get hung up so much? Mine freezes up at least once a day to the point where I have to unplug then replug in the battery. I was thinking it was like when your computers memory is almost full....how much slower it runs. When it works right, it's a killer unit....but when it has problems, it has potential to become airborn!!! Like my computer issues its very frustrating!!!

Nokia N70 getting slower response

I have trouble with my nokia n70 music edition. After loading songs into my phone, it started to have slower response especially when I'm opening the Gallery. It took about 16 seconds before I opened my Gallery. My songs are on my memory card and if I remove it, it only takes about 10 seconds before I opened the Gallery. How can I get faster response on my phone when opening programs like the gallery? Please I need help

Where do you really store your music. I mean which folder on the memory card. Do you just copy your music files to the folder of your choice or you use the default My Music folder. I suggest you to transfer all your music files through the Nokia PC Suite's Transfer music option. This way you won't slow down your Gallery. Try this and give your feedback.

I can not install Itunes 10.5 on vista or windows 7 my iphone 4 is much slower and freezes when i go to the store they turn me away with my laptops and tell me to buy there computer thats the only answer. I know there has to be away around it?

Parameter based on decode/function field - slow response

Hi,
When one of the parameters of a report is used, the report takes a very long time to run. The parameter has a LOV of statuses in Hebrew.
The folder is a custom folder and the status in Hebrew is a decode field using a function. In other words, it first goes to a function to get the status, and then translates each status (I guess that the Hebrew will be strange but I hope that the general form of the decode is clear):

I am assuming that the reason for the slow response is the constant run of the function in addition to the decode (which I was once told also slows the response a bit).
Is there anyway to change the sql somewhat? Without using the parameter the report takes about 2 1/2 minutes to run. Using the parameter it takes around 25 minutes to run.

Hi Michael,
I think your suggestion #3, checking the indexes, is an excellent start.
As to the other suggestions, I believe that everything passed to the function is needed to find the status.
We seem to have serious problems running materialized views. Our dba is actually checking it out now. One group of mv were changed a few months ago so that they are no longer needed (someone worked around it using other tables for the data). Another mv is problematic even though it takes 14 minutes to create in a tst environment (which I happen to do yesterday) and causes no problems afterwards, it is a problem when run in prod as part of a job. As I mentioned, our dba is checking it out.
I hesitate to create a new table that is updated every night with the status of each invoice. It won't be up-to-date during the day, and it means changing the report that has otherwise run smoothly until now. The user avoids using the one parameter as much as possible so it's not THAT bad...
