My iphone is lost and its without the app find my iphone.....pls help me
i need to find it plzz help....atleast tell me how to get back my data...plzz
The app being installed on the missing device has absolutely nothing to do with being about to track that device.
Did you activate the Find My iPhone feature prior to the device being lost?
If the answer is yes, go to iCloud.com and track the device.
If the answer is no, there is no way to track the device.

The Find My iPhone APP has nothing to do with setting up the service on you ipod. It's used to find other los devices.
You needed to turn on Find My iPhone service in Settings>iCloud (near bottom of page). Without that you cannot locate the device. -

You are not communicating with Apple by posting here. Everyone here is just a fellow user and cannot fix anything.
The Find My iPad service may have indeed been accurate to the limits of the technology. Unless the iPad was a 3G unit, location is determined based on the nearest WiFi router which in your case could just happened to have been yours. The police may be the ones who need to "fix" their understanding of how the technology works and its limitations.

I lost my new apple 4S iphone I believe at Newport Village in Port Moody, BC, Canada. I immediately called my network Telus Mobility and reported the phone lost / stolen. They then put the phone on restricted service. A day later one of my friends / contacts in my phone received a call from a person who was at Newport Village and had found my iphone. The unknown person wanted Miles (my friend) to meet him at Newport Village so he can return my iphone. Unfortunately my friend was not arround to meet this unknown person who found the phone. Miles (my friend told this person that he could leave the phone at the local IGA only feet from Newport Village. I went to the IGA but to my surprise the phone was NOT there. I immediately installed the app "Find my iphone" when I first bought this new iphone 4S but everytime I check it, it says that my device is not on. So I'm wondering what the best way I can go about finding my iphone. I was told by my Telus rep that I could relay a message to the iphone offering a reward should he return it to me. Please if you can help me in any way, I would be eternally greatful. I'm on disability and on a fixed income so simply replacing the phone is not an option for me.
<Email Edited by Host>If the phone is offline there is no way to track it or send a message to it. You can place it in lost mode to lock it and send it a message (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmfc0f0165), but this will not take place until the phone goes back online, if it ever does. If it does, you will get an email informing you.

I have lost my iphone, checked on the computer, and somehow, took it away so how do i get it back??If you are saying that after signing into iCloud it is telling you device is not found, it could be for any number of reasons. If the battery is dead, if the SIM has been removed, or if someone else has the phone and they have restored it, it will not be shown. Also, if you located it once and then sent a remote wipe, it disables the abililty to locate the phone with Find My iPhone.

You don't need the App but you must have turned on "Find My iPhone" in Settings > iCloud.
If you have "Find My iPhone" enabled then you may be able to locate it. If not, you cannot locate it. If it was enabled then you can try locating it via http://icloud.com on a computer or the App "Find My iPhone" on another iDevice. Note: this will only work if your device is connected to a network and the device hasn't already been restored as new and/or "Find My iPhone" has not been disabled on it. Note: Disabling "Find My iPhone" is much more difficult in iOS 7.
If you think that your device was stolen rather than lost then you should report it to the police. In either case you should contact your carrier, change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc. -

Can you start Firefox in [[Safe mode]] ?
You can also do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

You're going to want to force it in recover mode thent o restore the device, unplug it from the computer, hold down the home button replug it back in intil you see the Itunes symbol with an arrow pointing towards it

For Find My Phone to work, you must first turn it on in Settings > iCloud before the iPhone is stolen, and the iPhone MUST be turned on and connected with the Internet. If not, it is not possible to locate it. Report the theft to the police, change all passwords associated with accounts on the iPhone, contact your carrier in case the can blacklist it.

o.k- my iPhone got stolen about a week ago, i had the app "find my iPhone" but the problem is that the thief deleted the app from my iPhone, my question is- why Apple didn't developed this app in a way that, you need to type in your apple ID for deleting it or cancell the option of deleting this app.
if this app could not be deleted we will be able to locate our iphone everytime......The app being installed has absolutely nothing to do with whether you phone is locatable or not.
The "Find my iPhone" app is ONLY for locating another iOS device from the one it is installed upon. Even if the thief deleted the app, the service would still work.
Apple has built-in passcode locks to both the phone as a whole, and to the accounts section, so your iCloud account cannot be deleted without entering a passcode. Presumably, you did not setup either of these locks if the thief was able to turn iCloud off or delete the app.
However, the thief only need to restore the phone, or power it off for it to be untraceable. Find my iPhone is not intended for tracking purposefully stolen phones. It is for misplaced, lost phones.
