My iphone is not acting fine
i change my country and my iphone refuses to recognize the country sim card telling me the sim is not valid and i tryed restoring it after the restore it says the same thing what do i do?
Is your iPhone still locked to the service provider in your old country? Did you take steps to unlock it or did you just wrongly assume that the locking would not apply in new country.
If so, you'll have to talk to them and have it unlocked.
In Australia there has been a great freeing up of this restriction in the last year. All major service providers allow easy online unlocking, even for phones still on contract to them.
From Australia, overseas countries vary in their cooperation. But some e.g. Tesco in UK are very helpful.
BTW it is Apple who actually lock or unlock the phone to the service provider's network, at the request of the service provider.

The music app on my Iphone 5 is acting up, it keeps skipping songs and wont allow the to play. You can see the music icon the on notification bar play and pause. When i go back to the app is states the url is not responding. I have restored it from the backed up cloud save. It is the music app, I played music on pandora and it worked fine. I think it must be the app or the ios.
restore with itunes not from an itunes backup or cloud save they do absolutely nothing only a clean restore will solve your problem

My ipod will not charge from a wall socket but will charge using the same cable if the usb end is plugged into a computer or directly into an airport power source. My iphone and ipad charge fine on the same cable using the same wall plug in the same wall socket. This makes no sense but I see that it has been posted as a problem elsewhere. This must be due to some kind of degredation of the Ipod. . It is not fixed by IOS resets as others have noted.

My ipod (version 6.1.3) was connectiong to my home wi-fi just fine until I uploaded new music from my itunes via my laptop. Now my ipod and my iphone will not connect to my wireless network. I've uplugged my wireless network and reset my network settings etc... nothing seems to work. Please help!

Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Since both iPhone and iPod stopped connecting I suspect a problem with your network. -
I have an iPhone, Ipad and a Laptop. They all are configured to company's exch.I am not able to sync calendar events on iPad made from my computer or iPhone. It works fine when I make an event from iPad, it shows on computer and iPhone but not vice-versa.

Gmail question. I'm getting an error message that states my username or password are incorrect. I haven't changed anything and the gmail is working fine on the mac book. The mail function worked yesterday on the iphone but not today - any solutions??
Try Restarting / rebooting your Mac before doing anything more drastic..

i buyed a new unlocked iphone 4s in united kingdom. i inserted a sim card and it was working fine. but now i m in Kuwait for some time i inserted a local sim card and my iphone ask me to activate it but when i go through the process of activation my iphone does not read my local sim card. please help me out. i will be very thankfull.
thanks for this... I bought iphone 4 unlocked in USA in Dec 2012--being told by the salesperson IN the Apple store that there were Apple Stores in Quito & Cuenca. I'm in Cuenca now--NO STORE, & now that I need to activate--have also been told "not every cellular store CAN activate iphone!" I am reading about all these problems--yours is the first response that has a solution! Now going to set up with Claro... wish me luck! Any other advice you have on use in Ecuador--I'll be grateful :-)

I have a factory unlocked Iphone 4S, it worked fine but it was often lossing signal and going into search, I decided to restore, but now can not activate it, a message can not be activated because the server is temporary unavailable try again later, I have tried this for 3 days, any suggestions?
yes did you buy it of somebody or a well known company such as apple or carphone warehouse?
and i mean the phone would have been activated in the first place with the sim card you get given when you first get the phone.
trying to activate the phone with another sim card that you did not get when you brought the phone may result in you not being able to activate it

My IPhone 4 was working fine, an hour later I looked at it again and it was turned off and it wouldn't start again. I tried plugging it into different wall outlets and I have it plugged in to the computer I synced it to, it still won't turn on. does any one have any suggestions?

Plug your iPhone into the wall charger (not a computer), and hold down the sleep/wake button ('power button' on top) and the home button for 20-30 seconds. I find this helped when it happened to my phone once. Plugging it into the wall charger appeared to give it the juice I needed to get up and running again... -

My husband's 3GS IPhone will not recognize a Wi-Fi connection at home or work. We have tried turning it on/off as well as turning airplane mode to on while turning it off then back on again. Can also try powering off the home router, then the phone, and then power up the router wait for the signal and then power up the phone and see if he can connect. -
