i just switched phones to an old iphone. the current software in itunes displayed when i hit update it says 3.1.3 meanwhile to download apps i need 4.0 but it would not let me update because it says it is updated. HELP

To the OP, figure out which iPhone you really have. You state it's the 3G, but the assumption is that you have the original iPhone. This document will clarify which model you have.
If you do infact have the original iPhone, the roamingnome is correct that 3.1.3 is the most current version.
If you do have the 3G, then it can run iOS4.

the problem is that just updated the itunes on the computer and now the ipod won't connect because apparently the itunes on the ipod is not up to date but the iod is telling me that is is up to date, so i can't do a software update.

Why 127.0.0.1 can not receive any data,but MulticastAddress(224.123.111.101) can? I use jmfstudio to tansport media and set the dest address to 127.0.0.1.I use anther jmfstudio,and fail to receive it.(ps:wo jmfstudio runs in the same machine at the same time).But after I change the dest addrest to 224.123.111.101,it receive data.Can any one tell me why?

You can't backup the iPod t iTunes then. You will have to use an existing iTunes backup.
If iCloud backup is turned on and the iPod is still working (not disabled), the iPod will automatically backup daily if an internet connection is available and the iPod is connected to a charging source.

iTunes has to contact Apple to send your agreement to the new conditions, but your security software has to allow this contact. If blocked, you'll get a time out message. You can restore to a backup made on a device running a higher iOS version; it must be the same or lower. Update your iPhone 5 in iTunes, set it up as a new iPhone, then go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings to erase the phone. Go through the setup screens again and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup. After updating you'll be able to restore to your backup.

I am having the same problem. Itunes reports that it's uploaded all the music etc.
When I turn the match function on, it says "you are not currently subscribed to itunes match".
I have restarted the phone and coputer, logged in & out several times to no avail.
Any ideas or suggestions?

There are three possibilities:
1. Your phone is locked to a different carrier and will not work with any SIM card except those from that carrier.
2. Your new card is from a carrier not supported by the iPhone.
3. Your new SIM card is defective.
In order to determine which is the right answer you could try a different sim from the same carrier or try your new card on a different iPhone. Also check to make sure your new carrier is a supported carrier.

A few people in our office purchased new iPhone 4's over the weekend. All of us were 1st gen through 3GS iPhone users.*
Everyone who has the new iPhone can't get any data over 3G, but all 3GS or older phones are pulling data as normal. I don't think it's a signal attenuation/bumper issue as I'm getting 5 bars.
I spoke with both Apple and AT&T a few times. Apple is as confused about it as I am and AT&T suggested I return the phone and try another (obviously not the problem).
If I drive a mile down the road, 3G works fine.
We're at a bit of an impasse; we have 30 days to return the phones and we all love our old iPhones and have no interest in using anything else, but if we can't resolve the issue, I'm not sure what options we're left with. Has anyone else had this problem?

IPhone pictures not sorted by date in Albums

I installed the new OS update in my MackBook Air and now I am using the new Photos app. I enabled the iCloud Photo Library function. So far so good, after a while now all of my Albums show on my iPhone, but the pics are all over the place, they are not sorted by date (oldest one first, newest picture last). When I go into any of the albums all of my pictures are disorganized; however, when I go into the same album on the Photos app in my Mac; there are just fine, sorted by date.
I wonder if there is a fix for this problem.

I have a similar problem. All of the photos in my All Photos album are out of sync the same way on both my Mac and iPhone. The Photos tab that shows photos by moments appears correct. When I go to iCloud.com and look at the All Photos album all of my pictures are shown in the correct order.
I looks like part of the resorting my be a bug related to translating images that have now been tagged with the key word 'Photo Stream', but I'm just speculating.

I just bought my new iphone 4 recentely from Apple. and i subcribed for 5GB data package with the service provider in UAE howeverm the service is splitted between my ipad and the new iphone but unfortunatelly the iphone still not connecting to the internet service ? i thought there was a problem with the micro sims but when i removed the sim from the iphone and checked it with my friend iphone 4 it worked perfectly ?
Any suggestions why my iphone refuses to connect ? i just received the phone less than 5 days.
