My iPhone is now synched with a genius bar macbook!

Hi all,
I have an iPhone 4s 32Gb which until recently was synched with iTunes on my Macbook Pro, however I had an appointment at a Genius Bar due to no 3G after switching to EE, the guy very quickly sorted the issue out, due to an Onovo Profile, but since then it says it is synced with a Genius Bar iTunes!
What are my options please guys? I am on iOS 7 and was really going to upgrade to iOS8 due to screen size, battery performance etc.
Thanks in advance
Mark

  • Hey i have my iphone is not synching with itune, how can i solve this problem..

Hey my iphone is not synching with itune, how can i solve this problem?

It can sync with a 32-bit, so long as you have the correct version of iTunes installed. I'm assuming that you are referring to a Windows based computer, so check out this support document regarding the device not being recognized by Windows. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538

  • Iphone will not synch with itunes after downloading most recent itunes version

I updated to most recent version of itunes and since then my 3GS iphone will not synch with itunes. the phone is recognized by my windows computer but not recognized within itunes. I redownloaded itunes and Q but nothing.  Can anyone help?

I have a Dell XPS 8500 with a 64bit i5 Processor and an Apple 4s and I have the same problem.  I have been searching for days and can only get the phone recoginzed by disabling power to USB ports and there is no way I can get ITunes to show devices, so I can't see the IPhone.  People say Apple monitors these sites but I haven't seen any response from a technical person. Have you?  My hunch is they know about the problem but don't have a fix, and have other priorities for their team. If my hunch is correct, its quite extraordinay because I am close to selling my 4s and getting some phone which is easier to work with. Time is my scarcest resource and I have devoted way too much of it to this issue.

  • HT4972 I replaced the computer I originally used to synch my iPhone. I get the message stating that my content will be erased, even though this is the computer I now synch with. Is there a way to make the update recognize the new computer?

I replaced the computer I originally used to synch my iPhone. When trying to update to iOS5.0, I get the message stating that my content will be erased, even though this is the computer I now synch my phone with. Is there a way to make the update recognize the new computer so that my content will be kept?

The best option is to copy your entire iTunes folder from your old computer to your new one using one of the methods described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527.  This will allow iTunes on your new computer to recognize and sync with your phone without deleting content.  You will also need to copy over any other synced data not in your iTunes library such as photos synced to your phone, calendars and contacts.
If you can't do this, these articles will help you start syncing with your new computer with minimal or no data loss:
Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive

  • IPhone no longer synchs with iTunes

For the past few days, my iPhone was syncing perfectly. My songs, calendar Apps; everything was on my iPhone. Now, since this morning, for some reason, none of my songs will sync to my iPhone from iTunes. I am wondering if it has something to do with the iCloud, since I haven't upgraded to Lion yet?

Have a look in the settings on your iPhone to see if you have enabled iCloud backup.
The phone will only backup to one or the other.

  • When I plug my iphone in to synch with itunes the summary screen doesn't come up. It starts synching everything. I only want to synch music.

When I plug my iphone in to sync with itunes the summary screen does not come up. I only want to sync music. It starts synching everything.

    Disable automatic syncing.
Whatever is selected under the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences will go through the process of being checked - if there are any changes in regards to the data you have selected to be synced with or transferred from your computer regardless.

  • IPhone 4 not synching with MacBook Pro contacts or calendar

    Hi there,
My issue is that my iPhone 4 is not synching with my MacBook Pro which is running Snow Leopard (I haven't upgraded to Mountain Lion yet as judging by the reviews there's a split in how successful it is).
The latest information is on my iPhone, both contacts and calendar, however under iTunes (the latest update v11) it does not give me the option box to 'check' and sync these menu's. Any ideas anyone - this is issue is not only baffling but annoying as ****.
Any ideas of feedback would be greatl

    Doh! Got it working....
Helps to use the "search" function better. I read another thread where someone was having the same problem and a suggestion was to ensure that he was using the same cable that came with his iPhone...sure enough! That was my problem. My wife has an iPod and somehow we mixed up our wires.
I swapped cables with her and boom! The synch function is back at work.

  • IPhone 4 not synching with iCloud or Macbook

    Hi,
I have an iPhone 4 that is not synching with iCloud correctly.  For contacts there is over 500 on my phone and only 41 in my iCloud.  Also, there is a similar issue when I synch through iTunes (10.7 version 21).  I run a MacBook with Snow Leapord.  Any ideas on what I must do?
    Thanks!

Suggest a small trial - create on the Computer a small playlist of Songs - using the iPhone on local WiFi select the playlist scroll to the end and select the option to 'download all' - you should find that the Songs are immediately available for playing on the iPhone.
If the trial does not work there is a more serious issue ... do post back the progress you make.

  • HT1212 My ipad mini has been crashing a lot recently so I started a system reset. However, it's now stuck with the progress bar less than a quarter gone: this has been the case for several days now. I have tried resetting from itunes but it needs the pass

Now it's stuck with the progress bar less than a quarter full. I have also tried resetting through itunes which works right up to the point where itunes states that it needs the passcode to be inputted into the ipad to connect to it. At which point it then sticks at the same progress bar point. HELP!! please, this ipad is really important to my work.

Well the term "hotlined" I have never heard before. In any case many states (like NY) just passed regulatory powers to the State Public Service Commission of which it may be called something different in your state. You could file a complaint with them. Or file a complaint with your state attorney generals office, they also take on wireless providers.
The problem here is the staff you speak to are poorly trained, in days gone by it took one call to them and they pulled up your account and see the error and had the authority to remove any errors. They did not remove legitimate account actions, but used their heads instead of putting a customer off or worse lying to the customer.
Its a shame you have to go through what you going through.
    Good Luck

  • HT1296 We updated my husbands ipad.  He is now synched with my iphone is getting all my messages.  How do I fix this?

We updated my husband's ipad.  He is now getting my iphone messages as the computer synched him with my iphone.

There is no reason for him to have to sign into your ID in order to update the iPad. That has nothing to do with the Apple ID. If he is now running at least iOS 5, and I'm quite certain that he would be now, he can update his iPad in Settings>General>Software Update without using a computer at all. If he has the original iPad, it can only be updated to iOS 5.1.1. All other iPads can be updated to iOS 6.1.3. No matter which iPad he has, it has to be running the most up to date iOS available for his particular device.
It's not hard to set up an Apple ID at all. The problem is that any apps, music, books, TV Shows, movies ...any content at all that he purchased with your Apple ID will forever be tied to your ID. You cannot transfer purchases to another Apple ID. That mean he will always have to use your ID and password to update his apps.
If he bought the newspaper subscriptions with your ID, then yes they are associated with your ID and the same applies to them - they can't be transferred to his ID.
But just to be clear, you guys are sharing the one Apple ID correct?

  • Any way to re-get apps purchased with iphone but NOT synched with computer?

My iPhone had been having issues synching so one of the Tech guys decided that the best way to solve it was by upgrading to OS4 and seeing if that fixed the problem. Unfortunately they didn't do a full backup (apparently it kept aborting part way thru) and I had apps that hadn't been synched to my iTunes account on the computer. Does anyone know of any way for me to get those apps back without buying them again? I was thinking that their might be a record of their purchase in my iTunes account since I had to have accessed it, even though it was thru the phone, to buy them in the first place, but I don't see it. I also don't know if I can just contact someone in tech support at apple about fixing it because I didn't see a logical way to contact them about the issue.

Well, you missed several chances, so now all that's left is to redownload them individually. At least you can do that without paying for them again. You can't do that with music.
You apparently didn't back up your iTunes library, in spite of regular reminders from iTunes when you make purchases. AND you don't have an external drive with Time Machine, which would have backed up your computer (including iTunes) automatically.
Before syncing you could have copied your apps from your iPhone to iTunes, as described in the manual, but apparently you didn't.
It's also not clear how iTunes "lost" your apps, unless you had a hard drive failure. This just doesn't happen, unless you have done something to your iTunes folders or had a hardware failure. I would suggest tracking down how iTunes lost your apps before you go any further; you may have a much bigger problem with your computer.

  • IPhone won't synch with server after iOS7.2.1 upgrade

I upgraded to the latest iOS7.2.1 and can no longer synch my Outlook contacts or calendar to my iPhone.  Repeated message "iTunes could not synch contacts to the iPhone because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone"  Previous suggestions that abounded after 7.1 was released do not work.

    Hi rtiffany,
Welcome to the Support Communities!  The article below will help you troubleshoot the issue you are having syncing your contacts with Outlook:
    iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Contacts
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3998
Troubleshooting iCloud Contacts update or setup issues with Microsoft Windows (Microsoft Outlook)
If you are having trouble with a PC (with Outlook 2007 or later) and iCloud Contacts, try each of these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved.
Note: iCloud Control Panel does not support Outlook 2010 Personal Edition.
Verify that you are using a Windows configuration that is supported by iCloud.
Make sure your computer is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud Contacts and events will not update in Outlook. Learn about troubleshooting your Internet connection.
Open a secure website to test if ports 80 and 443 are accessible. Outlook requires port 443 access to iCloud in order to push and fetch updates to and from the iCloud Contacts servers.
Open the iCloud Control Panel and make sure that you are signed in to the same iCloud account that you are using on your other supported devices.
If you recently made changes in Outlook, and they are not moving to your other devices or vice versa, click the Refresh button in Outlook.
Turn iCloud Contacts off and back on:
    Close Outlook.
    Open the iCloud Control Panel:
In Windows 8.1, go to the Start screen, click the down arrow in the lower-left corner, then click the iCloud app.
In Windows 8, go to the Start screen and click the iCloud tile.
In Windows 7 and Vista, choose Start menu > All Programs > iCloud > iCloud.
Deselect the Mail, Contacts, Calendars & Tasks checkbox, and click Apply. Wait a few seconds, then replace the checkmark, and click Apply.
Open Outlook, and test to see if the issue has been resolved.
Ensure the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active within Outlook.
For Outlook 2013 and 2010, follow these steps to verify the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active:
    Open Outlook 2013 or 2010.
    Click the File menu.
Click Options in the left panel of the Outlook window.
Click Add-Ins in the left panel of the Outlook Options window.
Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins," and verify that the "iCloud Outlook Add-in" is listed
For Outlook 2007, follow these steps to verify the iCloud Outlook Add-in is active
    Open Outlook 2007
From the Tools menu, choose Trust Center.
Select Add-ins from the left column.
Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins," and verify that the "iCloud Outlook Add-in" is listed.
Make sure that iCloud is not your default account in Outlook.
In Outlook 2013 and 2010, select File > Info > Account Settings > Data Files. If iCloud is listed as the Default account in the Comments column, select a different account and click Set as Default.
In Outlook 2007, select File > Data File Management > Data Files. If iCloud is listed as the Default account in the Comments column, select a different account and click Set as Default.
Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it does reinitialize your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.
Learn more about managing Add-ins with Microsoft Outlook.
Note: When enabling Mail, Contacts, Calendars & Tasks in the iCloud Control Panel, part of the setup is to copy your Contacts data from the default Outlook .pst file to iCloud, and then remove the Contacts from the .pst file by placing them in the Deleted Items folder in Outlook. The Contacts data is then stored in the iCloud data set within Outlook so that changes can be pushed to and from Outlook by iCloud. Be sure you are looking for your data within the iCloud folder within Outlook after enabling Contacts in the iCloud Control Panel. The deleted file can be seen by viewing the Deleted Items within your Outlook Folder List. This is not iCloud removing your data; iCloud simply copies your data into the iCloud data set and then removes the local Contacts data by placing it in the Deleted Items folder.
I hope this information helps ....
