iphone crashes/reboots itself everytime i'm connected to wifi, is this possible?

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

My iPhone keeps rebooting itself when I'm using it - when charging and when used normally. I have checked, and there is no water damaged. I have also restored it twice.
Does anybody have any ideas on what I can do next please?
    Thanks

  • IPhone 3Gs rebooting itself now stuck on boot

    Hello,
I've had my iPhone 3Gs since February 2010 making it as of this post 1 year old and 3 months over warrantee. Last week my iPhone started randomly turning off and on again and it was happening a few times each day. It began to reboot itself more frequently, to the point where I couldn't use the phone because it would turn off mid text-message and during phone calls. I grew frustrated and decided to put it into recovery mode to restore the phone, as people on these discussion threads recommended with no luck, it was giving me an error code 29 right when it got to the part to upgrade the firmware (I believe it didn't make it to this point because the phone would turn off). I tried this several times when finally it worked! I restored my iPhone and loaded the backup I had made and charged the phone up and went about my day. As the battery drained it turned on and off more frequently and then went from 30% to 3%. It now will not charge whatsoever on the charger, or through my MacBookPro. It will not boot up at all, but flashes the apple logo then turns black and it keeps doing this over and over. Itunes won't even recognize the iPhone as being connected to my computer.
I don't know what to do. I have never jailbroken this iPhone or tampered with it in any way, and I'm very disappointed that this product is showing such huge issues after only a year of use. Right now my iPhone is completely unusable and I'm hoping that somebody has an answer for me to fix this.

On My iPhone 3GS started with iOS 4.3 and 5.0 did not improve even with the 5.0.1. When started, the device shut down at around 43% battery. Every 2 or 3 weeks the problem got worse ... 53%, 65%, 75%, 86%, 96%, 98% and 100% now it can be turned off.
I realized that if I use the internet through the 3G off at around 98%. If you use the internet through wi-fi, off at around 86%. If you use 3D games off even faster. The first shutdown can be restored by resetting the system (home + power). But after the second or third, it asks to connect to an electrical outlet, the battery even when it was full. If you make a small charge, enough to start the system will turn off at the next mark (percentages cited above). I started using the iPhone always connected to an electrical outlet (house or car).
Recently I made a painful test: I turned off the 3G, wifi and data transmission; stopped to use all the features of the iPhone, except for calls and SMS. The GPS was on, but I did not use any application that needed it. As a result, the battery lasted about 4 days and declined up to 6% (when it fell during a call). I was very glad to review the battery alerts (20% and 10%) after so many months. Then I waited 1 or 2 hours and recharged the phone to 100%. I noticed that charging was much slower than what was occurring before (and remains so since then). But until now I did not notice a difference in the problem.
Other users with the same problem say revert to factory settings did not fix the problem. There are no Apple Stores in my country, only representatives and mobile phone carriers, but the assurance of my iPhone expired in May 2011, in addition, here we have the iPhone 4S world's most expensive (between US$ 1419 and US $ 1,855), the which means buying another iPhone is a last option. Buy another battery would be easier, but I question: if the problem is the battery, why work properly when does not was required 3G, Internet, games or gps?
It would be nice if Apple responded something like "we are aware of the problem and are working on it." At least we could hope to keep until the next update.

  • IPhone 5 reboots itself frequently

    Hi,
I have a iPhone5 from Singapore retailer, 16G black. I upgraded to 6.0.2 right after I got it. The device would self-reboot every 20 mins to 1 hour when I am using it. At night when I am charging it, it also occassionally reboots itself. Also the battery life is short, averaging 6-7 hours from full to < 20%. I tried to reset, restore, took to the Shanghai Apple Store, but they couldn't figure it out. Anyone has any ideas?

    Hi Jnsumanth,
If your iPhone continues to restart itself unexpectedly, you may want to follow the steps in this article to troubleshoot -
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
    Specifically -
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter. If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Brett L

  • IPhone 4 rebooted itself and deleted all my text messages??

My iPhone 4 just turned itself off and rebooted and when it came back on every single text message was deleted. What would cause this?? I feel like it has been running slow and buggy lately. But have the latest software. Not sure what I can do??

Did you fix it?  I tried to copy paste but was unable to.  Did you write "lost text" in the search?  I am going to insert the link I found.  Let me know how it works out.  VERY IMPORTANT...DO NOT SYNC YOUR PHONE!!!  RESTORE FROM BACK UP FIRST...ONCE YOU SYNC, YOU CAN NEVER RETRIEVE

  • IPhone 4 rebooting itself

Yesterday my iPhone 4's screen went off apart from a thin line at the bottom of the screen flickering, after a few seconds the screen flicked back on I couldn't make out what was on the screen because it went back off that quick.
It did it 3 times yesterday and once today, it has never done it before, I'm worried now because I got the phone around the 12th of august last year Nd my warranty is nearly up, any suggestions as to what it could be??
    Thanx

  • HELP! water damage on iphone 4, reboots itself every 5 minutes!

2 days ago i dropped my phone in water and immediately got it out and tried to dry it off.
I switched off the phone and left it in un cooked rice for 48 hours, i switched it on today and everything seems to be working fine.. apart from... the phone keeps switching itself off and re-booting every 5 minutes
i have since taken the back case off, dried it, put it back together and left it to dry out even more.
does anyone know what else i can do? or what the excate problem is that is causing it to switch off and re boot every couple of minutes?

The problem is that it got wet while it was under power, this most likely will have caused a short between parts of the circuitry that normally are separated. It may (if you stop using it while there is some moisture left inside it) revert to normal operation, frankly I doubt that very much.
Take it to Apple for diagnosis, you can avail yourself of a 'non warranty replacement' while you are there, if needed.

  • Why does my iPhone 5s reboot

I purchased a silver 64 GB launch iPhone 5s (Verizon) from the apple online store. The device was restored from my 4s backup. While using my new 5s, it would occasionally crash and randomly reboot itself. At first I thought this was software related because of iOS7. After installing 7.0.1 and 7.0.2 the random reboots continued.  In the middle of October I made a Genius bar appointment and they determined it was hardware and software failures. The Genius had me keep the same phone and instructed me to restore the iPhone 5s and use as "new phone". The reboots continued happening about 3 to 7 times a day, mostly while unlocking the phone. Another Genius Bar appointment was made and the phone was exchanged for a replacement. I was instructed (again) not to restore the device from a backup. The random reboots continued. Another Genius Bar appointment, replacment phone was issued and I was asked not to install any apps and see if that helped the situation. It did not help at all. I contacted Applecare and was redirected to Level 2 support. I was told to play the lottery because of the (bad) luck I was having was unheard of. Applecare Level 2 instructed me to get another replacement (my 4th iPhone 5s) and use the phone as "new" without installing apps or Touch ID. Less than 10 minutes after recieving my replacement iPhone, it rebooted itself after unlocking. I went back to the Genius Bar and they were in disbelief. They had me pull the SIM, it rebooted, log out of my Apple ID from the device, it rebooted. The Genius restored the phone as "new" and instructed me not no sign in to the device with  my Apple ID. So, at this point I had a glorified phone and web surfing device. Two days went by and I had no random reboots. Applecare Level 2 instructed me to sign back in with my Apple ID, and within 24 hours it was rebooting again. Applecare Level 2 had a "white box" iPhone 5s shipped to an Apple Store near me, because they believed I may have been receiving mine from a bad batch of phones. Well, I can assure you that is not the case. 10 minutes after recieving my new phone (with new SIM) it has continued rebooting itself.
Since the middle of October I have not been able to listen to my music library on my phone, constantly had to reinstall apps and speak with Apple technical support over and over again.
I know I am not the only person experiencing this, but they cannot solve my issue.
Is it possible that my Apple ID is corrupt? That is the only thing left that I can think of.
Oh, and my iPad Air has no issues at all... go figure.

I believe the problem has been solved!
I was never a fan of the parallax effect in iOS 7. I also didn't like the zoom in and out of apps when opening and closing. Because of this, I had always enabled the "Reduce Motion" featured in SETTINGS>GENERAL>ACCESSIBILITY.
Having the "Reduce Motion" option enabled and using the Touch ID to unlock the phone is what caused my reboot issue. AppleCare Level 2 support has notified the iOS engineers of this bug and it should be resolved in a future update.
Turn off "REDUCE MOTION" feature to resolve the random reboot issue of iOS 7.

  • IPhone endless reboot

    Hi Everyone..
I have a lil problem with my iPhone. All of a sudden my iPhone started rebooting itself every 10 - 20 seconds??
Does anyone have the same issue.. ?? Any solutions?

Are you at the latest firmware?? (1.1.4)
First thing you'll probably want to do is reset your iPhone. Press an hold the Sleep/Wake button with the Home button for about 10 seconds until the Apple Logo appears.
However, this might not fix it. You'll probably want to restore your iPhone. Take a look at [this article|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414] for more info on restoring.

  • IPad reboots itself and thinks it needs to be restored as an iPhone

Help! My iPad keeps rebooting itself every few minutes (if I am trying to use it). It tells me that the iPhone can't make or receive calls(?)and that I need to restore from iTunes at www.apple.com/support. Obviously the iPad can't make or receive calls anyway.
The problem started with the wifi not working in my office building. Now I can't even get it to stay up without rebooting itself every 2 - 3 minutes. And it is continually searching for a signal, even though my iPhone has full signal. Anyone else getting this message?

I would connect it to your syncing computer and restore from backup.

  • IPhone 3g non stop rebooting itself. Please help!

Hi, I have a iPhone 3g, and last night i replace the batter on it. After 12 hrs later the phone is non stop rebooting itself. Please help!

  • Why does my iphone 4 keep rebooting itself uncontrollably

i left my iphone 4 in my car in sub zero temperatures for a few hours while skiing and when i came back it started acting all weird and refused to turn on. so thinking it was just cold and needed some time to reheat itself, i wernt home and plugged it in and let it warm itself back up for the night. i went and checked on it later on in that same day and i would work, but the processing seemed unusually slow. for example the screen and menu button would delay bigtime. thinking it was still a little cold i decided to reet it and then from there it progessively got worse to the point where neither the screen or menu button would work. i have tried plugging it into my computer, itunes will read that my iphone is there but it just keeps turning itself on until it reaches the lock screen, then it will reboot itself and continue this process. some help please!!!

Clear the App from background memory, and then try it again.
Do not use the faulty App.
If this happens with all Apps, Restore iphone firmware with iTunes, when asked at end set up as New.
If still problems could be faulty battery, which will be covered by Warranty.
