My iPhone is stuck in headphone mode even though there are no headphone plugged in... Anyone have a resolution?
My iPhone is stuck on head phone mode and I don't know how to get it off.. I have turned iphone off and on again and tried to put the head phones in and out again and closed down all my apps and restarted my phone but I don't know what else to try?! :S

I tried rebooth, restore and, when i open the apps, it turns to landscape and dont rotate. I locked to portrait position, but the camera stays in landscape, for example. And when i unlock the portrait the display of all apps returns to landscape!! My iphone 4 is new, i bought it november 2011!!! Please, help me!
Double press the HOME key, then scroll the bottom ribbon to the right until the rotation lock appears at the left end.

I have just set up icloud and all my contacts are duplicated from Address Book! My new iPhone is also showing duplicate contacts even though they are not duplicated in my address book on my computer. Please can you help?
Also, what are the source of your contacts? are they created on the phone, or you synced from yahoo/hotmail etc.
If thats the case, the circular arrow wont be visible but instead show "groups"

After upgrading to 3.6.8 none of the extensions load even though there are updates available. The updates will not install and even though the error states to look at the console error log there are no errors listed in the log. All extensions are listed in Addons>Extensions.

== Upgrading to newer Firefox version (3.6.8)I have been having the same issue for the last two weeks. No real indication as to why it ever began other than I had turned off my router and Airport Extreme Base Station off for a weekend while I was away from my place.
iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, all have no issues at all with my Airport Extreme Base Station. Can stay connected throughout my living room, bathroom, bedroom, no issues whatsoever.
My 5 month old MacBook Pro 2.66 GHz Core i7 Airport is sometimes perfect, able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue. Then, for no reason, I won't be able to join my wireless network, or when I can join, I can't pick up an IP address. And then it will connect, pick up and IP, and then it won't browse. No real rhyme or reason to when this will happen, or when it works.
I thought that it was an issue with my MacBook Pro, but then my sister visited with her brand new MacBook Pro 2.26 Intel Core 2 Duo, and while a month ago she was able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue, this weekend she had all of the same issues I was having.
My XBOX 360 and MacBook Pro have absolutely no issues with the wired connection. Only my WAN seems to have this issue.

Even though there are over 200 photos on my ipad, after trying both methods of importing and connecting with a lead, a message appears saying that there are no photos on this device. Any ideas?
Did you connect your iPad to your computer then open the application on your computer that transfers photos from a camera? Your computer should recognize the iPad as a camera. All photos in the Camera Roll on the iPad should then be seen and you should be able to copy them to the computer using that application.
Photos that were synced to your iPad by connecting to your syncing computer cannot be copied back this way as the master file for those photos are on the syncing computer. -
The preview of my hardcover book as iPhoto laid it out is 62 pgs. even though there are only 82 photos in my album.
The auto layout used mostly 1 photo, full pages. Obviosuly I can manually re-layout the pages as multi-photo pages and reduce the number of pages.
However, that seems like a lot of pgs. for so few photos since a blank Photo Essay book layout appears to use 73 photos?
I'm not sure I know why iPhoto did not the default layout to fill those photo frames. I expected the 82 photos to use approximately 23-24 pages max.
Is this a full 62 full pgs or 31sheets?
If it is a true 62 pages, what is the cost?

Turn off repeat.

my voicemail alert wont go away even though there are no voicemails, i have tried turning notifications off and restarting the phoe. the little red circle above the phone icon wont dissapear on the home screen, and the red circle above the voicemail icon wont go away either.
Make sure you tap on Recent in the Phone app. I've found that when the red badge shows up for a missed call/voicemail it means I need to go to the recent calls view as well to clear out that notice.

iTunes may display a message that it could not update iPod because the firmware file was corrupt or not found.

Solution
The message does not indicate that there is an issue with the iPod but that iTunes was unable to read the firmware file it uses to restore or update your iPod. You can delete the folder containing the firmware files so iTunes can download a useable (non-corrupted) version.
Here are the steps to take if you get this message:
Eject iPod and quit iTunes.
Use Disk Utility in Mac OS X or run chkdsk in Windows to verify there are no other issues on your hard drive.
Locate the iPod Software Updates folder:
In Mac OS X, the folder is
~/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates (~ represents your home directory)
In Windows, the folder is
C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates
Note: If you don't see the files in Windows, turn on the Show hidden files option.
Open My Computer.
From the Tools menu, choose Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
In the Advanced Settings pane, select the "Show hidden files and folders" button.
Click OK.
Drag the iPod Software Updates folder to the Trash or Recycle Bin.
Connect iPod and open iTunes. You will need to be connected to the Internet to download the files. -
I have Lion 10.7.5 and it says that I still have 108 emails on one of my accounts (Microsoft outlook live) even though there aren't any email being shown. And when I try to access my account on the Outlook Web App, there aren't any emails there either. I've tried the rebuild function and it doesn't do anything...what's my next move?
Here, let me explain the way you use the word "crap" in a sentence like this, especially when I'm asking for help from a total stranger such as yourself. It's rude, obviously I know now not to do something like download something like that to my computer. It's not the difficult to figure out, and obviously I'm suffering the consequences for it now. So are you planning on helping me? Or should I not reply to your next reply if it has the word "crap" in it? hi iphone users i have had the same problem with the no sound issue i have a little tweek that will gain all sound back on any iphone it worked for me heres what to do if it works for you let me no because ino its a nightmare having a phone with no sound 1st thing go to settings general accessibility scroll down assistive touch click it on when you get the white dot click on it you will have 4icons click on the device 1 you will then see volume up and down and also have little bell make sure volume is up and the bell is not muted there you quick fix for sound also you dont have to keep the assistive on you can then turn it off you will have all sounds incoming call the lot enjoy hope it helps

Help - Ipod stuck in 'charging' mode even though its not!
Can anyone help? I charged my ipod this morning, disconnected it from itunes now the screen is stuck on 'connected - eject before disconnecting'.
Does anyone have any ideas how to get rid of this? None of the buttons seem to work.
ThanksI have the same problem. I used my iPod in my alarm clock this a.m. Turned off the alarm - removed the iPod & it's stuck on Charging. The lock is not on - I tried turning the lock off & on. Cannot turn off the iPod. ITunes doesn't recognize it. I couldn't use it for my Nike pod with my run this morning & I'm now of course not able to log my runs!!! Someone help!

How can I fix my messages on my IPhone 5 I all of a sudden shows a red circle with a 9 in it and there are no unread messages in my messages App. I have tried restoring my iphone and turning off Icloud nothing seems to work any one out there can help me?
Try resetting your iPhone. Hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.

Static library is always rebuilt even though there are no changes
I'm using Visual Studio Express 2012 to build a solution containing several projects including two EXEs, one DLL, and a recently added static library. The static library is used by one of the EXEs and soon the DLL as well.
Ever since adding the static library I get the following pop-up message every time I use the "Start Debugging" or "Start Without Debugging" to start the EXE:

Would you like to build it?
This happens even when there have been no changes to any of the source files in the static library.
If I click "Yes" I see in the output window that it is starting a build of the static library but no files are recompiled and the library manager is not run.
I had a similar problem with one of the EXE projects a couple of years ago and was advised to delete all of the files from the Debug (or Release) directory for the project and allow them to be rebuilt. That solved the problem with the EXE project but I've
tried to do the same with the static library project and it does not olve the problem. The EXE
is not rebuilt as it should be if anything had changed in the static library.
Any suggestions?
