Iphone has stuck in the middle of a restore
Help! I was trying to install the 3.1OS and it all went horribly wrong. I was required to restore, which I did, but when the phone tried to reconnect into itunes I get an error saying ' we could not complete your iTunes store request. The network connection timed out.' This happens repeatedly, yet iTunes seems to be working fine in other areas - it's the most recent version. I've tried disabling the firewalls - any other ideas?
Well, I don't know what to say. Another post on this problem mentioned CCleaner to clean up the registry. When I first applied it to the registry, and re-booted, the install problem was still there. After a few more restarts, not related to this problem, I happened to try msiexec again. It worked. I installed from CD. Acrobat is now working.
I have no idea what version it is. It flashed by, and I don't see how it can be derived the the software itself. Add/Remove will probably do that. I think it's 8.1.2.
I had downloaded the update file for 8.1.3, and tried it. It complained the program may need a patch I'm trying to update a different version. My guess is there were intermediate patches applied via some auto mechanism. If so, where do I get them? I see Acrobat has a Check for Updates selection. I started down that road, but it looked like it was actually going to install them. No thanks. Updating from the internet seems like a dangerous thing. I'd prefer files. Comments?
This Adobe updating mechanism seems dangerous. My guess as to where I went wrong is that I did not close all windows at the start of the "auto" update. When I did, it was too late. That may have led to all my problems. Contrast this with another program I successfully installed or upgraded later. It closed all the windows for me when it began. -

That message usually indicates that your phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it.
Then when you updated the phone it locked back up to the original carrier.
Only the carrier that the phone is locked to can unlock it. -
Ringtone off icon stucks in the middle of the screen
Dear All
Just received my new iPhone 5s.
Switching off the ringtone using the hardware switch
will signed with a big grey icon on the screen telling me ringtone off.
This icon normally diappears after a few seconds.
But thats not the case with my new phone.
It stucks in the middle of the screen.
Any idea?

IPhone is stuck in the Recovery Mode
Hi all,
I bought my iphone today, initially it went all good. I was able to connect it to my itunes (latest version) and use internet etc. I saw this new firmware upgrade and clicked on upgrade the firmware. The itunes, downloaded the application, extracted and then got stuck in the middle.
Now when I turn on my iPhone, it has the itunes symbole with the USB connector and does not show anything else. I connect it to my computer (Dell running Win XP) and itunes recognizes it. But it tells me that i have to restore my iphone software. I click on and it goes to extract files. Starts restoring and gets stuck again IN THE MIDDLE. the iphone shows an apple and a bar on a black screen. The progress shown on the iphone is about 20% and the itunes shows 50% and just sits there for a long long time.
I have tried using a different log in. I have disabled my Symantac antiwirus software and windows firewall. Still the same result.

Hi everyone! I tried to install the new iOs 7 on my iphone 4, but it wasn't completed (showing error 4005). Now, my iphone is stuck on the itunes' logo with the usb cord, and I can't use my phone. And itunes doesn't detect my iphone when I connect it on my computer, so I can't put it in recovery mode or someting like that... What can I do?? I tried everything they tell me to do in the apple support but nothing seems to work. Thank you!

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine. -

It should be telling you to download the latest iTunes on your computer... you can't install iTunes on your iPhone.

Received an authorized unlock code from apple/AT&T for my off-contract 3GS (8GB). Per the “Completing Authorized iPhone Unlock” instructions, I connected to iTunes to back up and restore so my iPhone can be unlocked! But after the restore my iPhone is stuck at the activation screen, it will not activate saying “Your iPhone cannot be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable”. I tried this again and again for countless times, no way! I have my old AT&T simcard and other carrier’s simcard. Both will not help. Please help me to activate and start using my phone.

I got like the same problem, last days I get message to restore my iPhone, so I did it yesterday and it work very well. In the afternoon I saw that at top in the left corner show invaild sim card or so (only knew the german version). so I restore it again but now it won`t activate after I enter SIM-PIN and it accept it, it shows "No Service".
Anybody can help? My Carrier is o2 Germany.

My iphone is stuck on the itune screen. I have tried pushing the on/off and bottom buttons and the phone will turn off but come right back to the itune screen I also tried plugging my iphone into my computer and holding down the bottom button to see if i could get to the restore screen. Nothing, just the itune screen. Any ideas what to do to fix my phone?

You might consider powering your iPhone off while you are sleeping. That would, among other things, save the battery. But it would also make sure this behavior never happens again. -
