How have you managed to get apps on your phone that are tied to a different and unknown AppleID?
If these apps were not purchased by you, having them is effectively software piracy and you should purchase them using your own AppleID if you want to keep hem.

The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.2 - earlier systems don't show the iCloud preference pane. If you want to use iCloud you will have to upgrade to Lion or Mountain Lion (assuming your computer meets their requirements) but even so you won't be able to publish web pages to iCloud because it does not provide web hosting. It sounds like this iPad was purchased second hand. If so, you will need to contact the original owner, otherwise your iPad will remain Activation Locked.

iTunes Menu, choose "Store", then you should see the "deauthorize all" selection.

TS3899 How can I get rid of a wrong email count on inbox?

I have set up my BT email account in settings, and it works fine. Except that although the inbox if empty there's a constant icon on the home screen showing 13 emails in the box. I can't get rid of this, even though I have set up the email twice now. What's going on and how can I get rid of the score when the box is empty? It just counts up from 13. (ipad mini)

I tried that, waited for the Apple to appear. But when the home screen appeared - just the same. So I deleted the account (bt internet). Re-set as before. Then set up the account again. still have 13 emails showing and nothing in the in box. Annoying. I think this is because I delete some (13?) emails from the online access to the inbox (on a laptop) but it's out of synch with the ipad. Neither account has any emails but the ipad thinks it's got 13 I have deleted. But they are not there!!!

I have tried and tried to reset my Apple ID and password and on each web page (under Itunes) it has shown that the information was completely reset and no problems were noticed. When I have put this information into my iphone 4 in order to download my (now 35) updates, the phone says that the password is not correct. I have seriously attempted each step of these two processes at least 20 times but to no avail. Please help and thank you all for sharing.

Maybe the apps were downloaded using a different Apple ID.
Check using iTunes > Get Info on one of the apps.

Since applications from the app store are linked to the Apple ID - in this case your old email - used to purchase or obtain them, you will need to have the password to that Apple ID in order to update those apps. Can't get rid of self assigned IP address

Hello,
I have been trying to resolve this problem by myself for the last 4 days (by googling and reading forums) but nothing works so here I am.
I moved last Tuesday and everything worked fine until that day. Since I am in my new apartment, I can't connect to the Internet because of a self assigned IP address. Here is more info:
-I have a new modem since I moved (the apartment where I was living was furnished and had a modem already). However, I am using the same service provider and modem than the apartment I was subletting.
-I only have a modem (no router) and I use the Ethernet to connect.
-I am writing this message from a PC laptop which confirms that the modem is working fine and that the ethernet cable is fine, etc.
-I did many rounds of shutting down the computer, renew DHCP, unplugging the modem (from 1 minute to 10 hours) and plugging everything back.
-I called the ISP but they could not help (they just repeated the same instructions that I could find in the guide)...They have no idea how I can get rid of the self assigned IP address.
The problem is still the same, I can't get rid of the self assigned IP address (169.xxx).
Please help if you know other tricks to fix that issue...

Re 1) Setting up a new account won't solve the problem in itself but it will help narrow down the cause. The idea is this: the problem might be caused by something system-wide (e.g. a preference file in /Library/Preferences) or it might be caused by something that is specific to your account (e.g. a preference file in yourhome/Library/Preferences). If we knew which, we could target the troubleshooting appropriately. The easiest way to figure out which is to create a new user, log in as that user and see if the problem remains. If it does, it must be system-wide; if not, it is specific to your account.
Are you using any firewall software? If you are using Tiger's built-in firewall, how is it configured?

Can't get rid of an e-mail address on iPhone

I send an e-mail from my iPhone and it was the wrong e-mail account. Now, I can't seem to delete it from my iPhone. I have deleted it from my mail account online, I have deleted it from my contacts, I have deleted it from my outlook. I have synched and deleted and resynched. I have searched multiple emails and can't find it on my computer.. so that was good. But, it's still on my iPhone. Any ideas how to get this abarant email address OFF my iPhone?

I know I wish there was a way to cause I had to restore my phone as new. I looked all on the web not just these furoms and I could find nothing just people saying to do a restore. Hopefully something easier comes about in this 2.0 update but who knows? If you find a different way you should post it.
