My iphone just went dead!
My iphone that i purchased in september just went completely dead. It won't charge, the battery was on 60% when I put in my purse and now nothing. Nada. No phone. Help! I dread having to go to the AT&T store or worse the Apple store.
Hold Sleep/Wake + Home buttons down for 30 seconds. Then hit Wake button. See if it comes on. Also, you might try and see if iTunes recognizes it. If so, try restoring it.

Hi
I have an Iphone4 and i am living in SA.
Today in the morning, my Iphone4 just went dead without any warning.
It is in this dead mode even after i tried charging it.
If i connect it to itunes, i find that the itunes is unable to detect the iphone.
And to my disappointment, i believe there is no apple store in SA.
Any suggestion guys???????Try a reset:
- hold the home button and sleep/wake button down at the same time for atleast 15 seconds
- if you see the Apple logo appear rlease both buttons
If that fails try charging the iPhone while plugged into the wall adaptor and also while plugged into the computer. Try cahrging both ways for atleast 15-20 minutes. Also while its plugged into the computer check and see if the computer or iTunes will recognise that the iPhone is connected. -
My 6 mo old iPhone 4S just went dead tonight.,
My 6 mo old iPhone 4S just went dead tonight. Anyone know what could be wrong?
Battery? Use wall charger and charge for half an hour.
Next up: Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears)
Note: you will not lose anything. -

My i-phone just went dead. When I plug it to recharge the batery, the only thing that it shows is a sign of a broken apple. What happened? What should I do?!!!
Try resetting your iPhone. If that doesn't work, try to restore the iPhone.

HT1430 my fone just went dead black
my fone just went dead black wont charge
Hey marshamary,
Thanks for the question, and great troubleshooting so far. To completely isolate the issue, you may want to follow these steps:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
- Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
- Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion.
Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
- Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
- After at least 15 minutes, if:
- The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
- The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
- Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
- If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
- If the display turns on, go to step 4.
- If the display remains black, go to next step.
- Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to
restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
- If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

IPhone 5s went dead permanently
My iPhone 5s went dead permanently, it was fine and one day while in my car I had it plugged into the auxiliary and the charger and when I turned the ac on it made noise and went dead. Restarted it and was fine for a couple weeks and then it just died and it won't charge come on, it does absolutely nothing, it's not even a year old
Not even a year old is great! (Not that it died, but that it did so within warranty.)
Apple has a one year warranty on all phones. Dig out your proof of purchase, or date of activation and contact Apple for a replacement. -
all data and messaging works on my note 4, but last night the cellular phone service just went dead. I can call people but the line is just silent, and people can call me, it rings, but I can't hear them. ????? What is wrong with it???? How do I fix it????
You aren't attached to a bluetooth headset or other device for some strange reason? Or even an automobile bluetooth, I have a friend that has this issue with his Prius because even when it is not running the bluetooth is still active and connects to his phone.

Help iphone 4S went dead, I did not drop it, docked to PC and error came up that it can't be restored
Hi
I followed this guy's instructions and it worked:
http://evsiphone.blogspot.com/2009/05/iphone-iphone-could-not-be-restored.html
I did disable the security (AVG and Zone Alarm) when I tried on my own PC. My wife's laptop which eventually got it working also uses AVG and Zone Alarm but on an XP O/S whereas my PC is Vista - maybe this is why.
Cheers for you help.
Andy

MacBook just went dead! Please help.
OK I've been using Macs since 1986 and have done techie stuff for many Mac users but this issue has me stumped. I have a MacBook black, 2.0GHz C2D, 120GB drive, 1GB ram, 10.4.11. I bought it new from Amazon this past April. This Mac has been running flawlessly since its purchase accept for a few random not waking from sleep issues. Closing the lid and opening it after a few seconds would wake it up. It has a 10GB Boot Camp partition running XP which I seldom use. I just recently updated to 10.4.11.
The Problem: While in use the machine just went dead, sort of. The screen went black and no sound is heard. I tried to wake it using a number of keyboard moves. When all failed I tried to hold the power key down to shut it off and restart, but nothing happened. The only sign of life is when I mess with the power button there is a flashing green light coming from the small pin hole just to the right of the video camera. There are actually 2 of the pin holes to the left and right of the camera but the flashing only comes from the right one. This happens while plugged in or running from the battery. We usually run it with the power cord plugged in and this was the case when it went dead on us. I know it's not completely dead because of this light activity. There is also some random light activity coming from the small row of lights on the face of the battery. I haven't really noticed what triggers those lights I just noticed they came on randomly when I would look at the bottom of the machine now and then.
Any ideas on what's going on and how to get me running again?the same thing happened to me and after the multiple tech steps to revive a dead beast....i went to the genius bar at my nearest apple store....the tech agreed it was a faulty motherboard as i was getting NO power to even the keyboard. we also tried a firewire target disk mode to see if i can even access the HD. we took out the HD to verify that the data was still in fact intact. but oddly enough nothing happened. to give some insight i was importing video from my mini DV cam and it didi a semi kernel panic greey screen shut down and never came back up
the funny thing was, i ended up helping other people who were coming in for service while they were working on mine...6 people in all...and when i left, some of the people still waiting were saying where's the genius going? LOL!
i pray they will upgrade my logicboard to the SR chipset one.....i want i want i want an early xmas present! -

My iPhone just gone dead, It had more than 50% left.
My iPhone just gone dead, It had more than 50% left and was on my desk next to me. When I picked it up it was dead. I cannot swirch it on and when I connect it to my computer to load it does not show any signs of life.
Have you tried a reset by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear ? A reset is the equivalent of a computer reboot

My iphone just went black for no reason. nothing worked on it. What happened?
My iphone just went black screened for no reasion. Nothing works now. What happened?
Did you try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again?
Is your phone still charging using the adapter or if you connect to the computer?
If yes, charge for at least 10 minutes before you connect in recovery mode, shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 -
My iPhone 4S went dead during the night.
During the night my iPhone 4S went dead and the screen was black. The bottons wouldn't answer on anything, so I readed on the net that I should hold down both bottons and make a restart. This worked and the iPhone started up with 60% battery level. Why???
i got my new ipone 4s yesterday afternoon, played a little bit. then in the evening went to completely dead after i put in to my pockeckt for 10 mins. no reaction even with power plugged in. I was able to recharge it this morning (plugged in and see the charging icon).
this afternoon (the 2nd day) I sent a message and left it on the table for a few mins, did not get the msg back then relized it went dead again. my friend did a reset for me and saw the battery has 65% left..
