My iPhone keeps exiting features by itself

My iPhone keeps taking me out of whatever I am doing and goes back to the main menu. If I click on the ipod, it exits within seconds. Same for safari, texts. Any ideas of how to fix this?

First, make sure you have room left on your iPhone (Settings>General>About).
Then, do a reset (hold the home key and sleep key together until the apple logo appears).
If this doesn't work, you'll need to restore.

absolutely that is frustrating. if the battery life is fine there could be two things software or hardware. to find out if your back up your information in itunes and import pictures and then restore the phone as NEW then you can test it out. if it is still shutting off it is hardware related

You said that you restored it.  "forgot to mentioned that ive tried all of that"
When you restore, you can restore from backup or as new.
Did you or did you not restore it?

iPhone shutting OFF by itself is most often due to faulty battery. You have already done a Restore. Make Genius reservation and take iPhone to Apple Store for quick free battery dianostic testing to confim that it is a battery problem.

  • Iphone keeps needing to restore itself

i looked at my phone last night ad thought thats odd, my screen has gone silver and sort of flashy. So i found out it needed a full restore. Im fairly certain i havnt done anything to it al i now i did was put it on charge. I am also waiting on a fairly important call from some lawyers so cant have that did a full restore on my phone. Seemed to work fine so  i went to sleep.
I woke up the next morning to find the same thing has happened. this time i didnt put the phone on charge i just had it on the table.
does anyone know what is going wrong or how to fix it im desperate here

    does it turn off first
then you connect to your computer then you restore

I just updated my iPhone 4S to 6.0.1 . and ever since I have had this problem that my iPhone keeps shutting itself down and I have to hold the power and home button at the same time for it to be turned on. this happens 4 or 5 times a day. I'm really sick of it 'cause my alarms and my reminders don't beep when the iPhone is off. please help me. I want my Almighty iPhone back.

    Hey there Legs8,
It sounds like your phone is repeatedly shutting down unexpectedly on you daily.  I recommend these troubleshoting steps from the article named:

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

    Hello dantecruso,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
There are some troubleshooting steps I'd like you to follow in the article below in order to resolve this issue you're experiencing.
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.

my iPhone 5 keeps turning off by itself What can i do

Check in your settings Eddie4502.Under General there is an item called "Auto-lock"  You can set it from 1 to 5 minutes or never.  Perhaps its set to 1 minute which isn't enought time to sneeze!  I use 5 minutes.
