I am new to iphones and went to Itunes and it said my new iphone needed a software update. Now the apps that I put on wont work and when pressed just flash on then off the screen. I paid £20 for one of them so any help would be appreciated.

As newer iPhones and iOS versions are made, apps start to drop support for the older versions of the iOS. It looks like you have fallen victim to this. I commend you for sticking with the original iPhone until now, but it looks like it's time for an upgrade if you want to use apps that have dropped support.

Same problem. Phone was unusable. I managed to turn airplane mode on during one of the phone's "on" moments. It went off once more but then came back on and stayed on long enough to back up and restore via iTunes. As I don't rely on the phone to retain photos, contacts or mail etc I chose to do a complete restore and treat it as a new phone. I did this just to make it as clean a restore as possible but you may be able to restore from your backup and get the same fix? All is good still some 24 hours later. Hope this helps.

I would "guess", since you were in the middle of backing up, your backup is corrupt & most likely unusable. Only one way to find out though, & that's by trying to restore from that backup. If your pics are not there, they are gone.

If you are saying yes to did it want the previous owner's Apple ID and you do not have that, then there is nothing you can do as the Activation Lock is an Anti-theft protection that cannot be bypassed. You have to get the previous owner to use the Apple ID to restore the iPhone, or login to their iCloud account and remove the iPhone from their equipment list. The iPhone will be permanently disabled otherwise.

What exactly happens when you try to buy the app ? If you are trying to gift it then you will need a credit card on your account, gifting can't be done via your balance.

Iphone 4 (White MC604FB) Update iOs 6.0 - Wifi Problem and iphone bug when trying to unlock on call receive. Is this a known bug ?

I have two iphones 4 and two bugs on the white one
1/ Is the first gen (Black)
2/ Is the second gen (White MC604FB)
I both uptdated the into Update iOs 6.0 -
Bug 1 : With the white iPhone 4 i have a real Wifi Problem, as close as 5 to 7 meters from any WiFi spot, i lose the signal, where my "black" iphone at the same time and same distance shows full signal (and tested with safari.... works).
Bug 2 : Once the white iphone is in "stand by" when trying to unlock on incoming call, the touch screen works and receive the touch information, but it bugs on trying to unlock to receive the call. (very very anoying :o) have to call back almost every time.
Are those already known bugs ? Is there a fix ?

I did restore before posting, in evry possible way. no improvment.
I have 24H ago updated to iOS 6.01. So far no more "screen jam" on incoming calls, but the wifi is still inconsistent with very poor signal strenght (compare to my black iphone 4)
PS : For information, did beleive there was two versions of iphone 4 (In Europe ) :
1/ Is firts generation "gen" with With board MC603FB
2/ The white one for me with board MC604FB

Iphone 5...updated IOS 2/7/12 now HTTP works for 1min per 5min period.

I have an iPhone 5 I recently updated to the latest IOS.
Before the update, everything fine.
After the update, HTTP over TCP acts as if it is being "time sliced" in that I have 1 minute of connectivity and then 3 or 4 minutes off before the pattern repeats.
UDP transport layer unaffected by this and still working fine with consistent low ping and good connection to game servers.
This is not random............it feels controlled, is consistent, and It doesn't matter whatever computer to which I am tethered.
I'm already tired of having to structure my internet browsing on http around this.
Any ideas?

I also forgot to add that I can use the browser on the phone just fine even as the tethered computer is experiencing no connection.

Are you syncing with iTunes?
If so, then you must mark the Apps that you have deleted in iTunes to not reload. If this isn't done they will return after a sync.

You may have to do a full restore to upgrade:
Placing your device into recovery (DFU-Device Firmware Upgrade) mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
   1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the
       other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
   2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds
       until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
              * If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the

3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
