My iphone no longer syncs with outlook 2007

My iphone suddenly no longer syncs with Outlook 2007.  I have checked the Outlook add-ins list.  I can find no solutions.  Apple phone support did not help, genius bar did nto help.  Any suggestions ??

Is it everything that no longer syncs, or is it just one of the things, i.e. just calendar, contacts, notes? Many times as mentioned in the earlier post, it can be caused by a corrupt .pst file. Run the scanpst.exe application that resides in the Office folder. That will run a repair on the .pst file. Go into iTunes and reset the sync history and then try the sync again. If that doesn't help, it is possible there is a corrupt appointment in the calendar. That can cause a problem with syncing.
Try those couple of hints and see if that helps. Come back if it doesn't and let us know some more specifics.

  • IPhone will no longer sync with Outlook 2007

I've had my iPhone for about 16 months - the sync with Outlook 2007 worked great until about 3 months ago (I'm guessing previous update to the one that happened today.) No changes to the laptop I synch with - Vista.
In iTunes under the "Info" tab for Calendars I see the message "No supported calendar application can be found."
Normal sync for music works and photo uploading works fine.
    Help!
    Thanks!

    Hi P,
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and Outlook. You can download the latest version of iTunes here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

  • Palm Treo no longer syncs with Outlook 2007 calendar

Foolishly I upgarded to Office 2010 not realising that my Palm won't sync with Outlook 2010. I reverted back to Office 2007 but now my Treo won't sync with the calendar. All else appears okay. I get the following message:
This handheld is associated with a differentprofile. To synchronize with that profile, close Outlook and synchronize again. To use this device with current Outlook profile, open the Hotsync custom dialogue and change the conduit settings to use this Outlook profile. See the Oultlook conduit help for details.
The conduit settings only allow me to change which over-writes which - computer or Treo. When I chnage to get the computer to over-write (as this is where my up-to-date info is, the same message appears. I going to get an iPhone soon if I can't get help. This is crazy.
    Someone out there help...please.
Post relates to: Treo 680 (Unlocked GSM)

If I understand correctly, then the old Outlook 2003 is no longer available to you. If that's the case, then all of your information should have been taken from your local outlook 2003 and put into the new outlook 2007 exchange. The only way you can sync with exchange is by using EAS. You will need the server address, domain name, and the username/password you use to log into outlook. I expect you may not have some of this information, which is where your IT department will be able to fill in the blanks. You won't need to use the Treo for email, but now that outlook 2003 is gone, that isn't an option for your contacts/calendar/notes anymore. When setting up the EAS on your device, it will ask what you want to sync, and you can select/deselect the options you prefer.
Hope this clarifies things a little bit.

  • IPhone no longer syncs with Outlook Contacts/Calendar

For months I was syncing with my computer at home for music and videos, then I bring my iPhone to work and sync my Outlook Contacts and Calendar.
Now, when I plug in my iPhone on my work computer, everything operates as it used to, it still says it's syncing contacts, then syncing the calendar, but after it's done, when I look at the calendar or contacts in my iPhone, nothing has changed. It's simply not syncing with Outlook anymore, even though the status bar at the top of iTunes says it is syncing.

It appears I have solved the issue myself and thought I would share the solution in case anyone runs into this problem.
In Outlook, I only have one profile. However, Outlook somehow had some settings changed where it prompted me for which profile I wanted to use each time I started Outlook (even though I only have one profile). Because it was prompting me to choose when I start Outlook, I am guessing that when iTunes tried to access Outlook, it was also prompting iTunes to choose which profile to use as well. Since iTunes didn't know which profile, it wasn't syncing properly (note, iTunes never asks you which profile you want to use).
To fix this, I went to the control panel, double clicked the mail icon, clicked the button that says "Show Profiles". I highlighted the only profile I have listed in the drop-down menu and checked the box that says "Always use this profile".
I then sync'd iTunes with my phone and the calendar and contacts finally updated!

  • Iphone no longer syncing with Outlook

I have been syncing my Iphone5 to Outlook directly via USB with my PC laptop since the first iphone came out (2006?).  Over the years, this process has survived numerous operating system upgrades, hardware upgrades etc. As of yesterday, it is not syncing my calendar or contacts to Outlook.   (I get email from mail provider).
I do not want to use the cloud as all my children back up to the icloud and I don't want all their contacts/calendar on my phone.  Maybe I am old fashioned, but I always like backing up with the USB guaranteed my PC data to my Iphone!
What I have tried without luck:  (it says syncing, but changes nothing)
       - updated to latest version of Itunes
       - in itunes/ info --- click and unclick calendar/contact
       -  in itunes - reset sync log
       - restored an old iphone - would not sync either
       - ran SCANPST on my outlook file (was a bit of a mess) so created new PST file with only a few dates/contacts
       - in outlook - unselected all Add-ins.   then added back the Itunes add-in, iCloud and outlook change notifier
    Outlook 2010 version 14 (32-bit)

    HELP!!!

I do not believe this. I have been going nuts trying everything as in prior posts, and this has been a problem for users at least since 2010. I had this problem a long time ago and didn't pay too much attention to it because it was my iPad, and I depended on my BB a a base calander to feed Outlook. I became very concerned within the past week when I switched my BB to iPhone 5s, and was carrying both because I still needed to carry the BB for new calander enteries to sync up to Outlook 2007.
I had followed http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 and delete the apple s/w and re-installed. But according to the previous post, it appears that the issue was in the data - which was not deleted during all these deinstalls nor overridden with the new installs.
I am a XP user, so my files are in documents and settings/(username) both application data and \local settings\application data, but I also have safari and quicktime installed as well and didn't want to just blow entire high level folders if I didn't have to.
So I followed http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 then purged several apple folders in my windows profile and this definitely blew apple computer\preferences away. What I did was a little clumbsy, and desperate, but it worked. I am finally back in business.
However, I would like to see someone fine tune this and determine if it was just the preferences folder that needed to be deleted so that iTunes needed to rebuild it, or if there were other filoes that were apparently corrupted away, just to get this to the minimum number of steps to fix the issue.
BUT THANKS - This has been the most HELPFUL thread to get me syncing agai!!!!

  • IPhone no longer Syncs with Outlook

    Hi,
Running Windows Vista Business on my Gateway Laptop. Updated to iTunes 7.7 since that was what I was asked to do as part of the V2.0 update on the iPhone. Updated to V7.7 of iTunes and then to V2.0 on my iPhone. Now my iPhone takes several minutes to sync and when it does it doesn't sync with the Outlook calendar. Checked the settings to make sure they haven't changed. Reinstalled iTunes "No Joy"!
By the way, the sync problem was on the V1.1.4 iPhone software version as well. It seemed to start right after the iTunes update.
Has anybody the same experience? Does reestablishing my email account under Microsoft Exchange address the issue?
    Anything else I can try?

I'm having a similar prob: I entered an appt on to my phone. Synced this morning and the appt is not showing up on my PC calendar. One thing may be affecting and I have not tested is I am syncing mail by ActiveSync, but still want Calendar and contacts by cable. Maybe this is affecting, but it should not be. I had my Win Mobile device set-up this way and it synced fine.

  • Pearl 8130 will no longer sync with Outlook 2007 or Entourage 2008 Calendar via USB

I currently have the Pearl 8130 v4.5.0.77 running Desktop Manager v4.7 on my office computer (Windows XP) and Pocketmac on my home computer (iMac OS 10). I do not utilize the BES - all syncing is done via USB.
I previously used the earlier version of DM and had no issues syncing all information between the BB, iMac, and XP machines.  Now I can no longer sync any of my Calendar information - one-way or two-way - to or from the BB to either computer.  My, tasks, contacts/address book all sync without issue.
I've read through the various threads in this forum (and other online forums) and tried the various fixes with no success.  Any help is much appreciated.  The calendar sync is critical otherwise my Pearl could be cast to swine.

I had the same problem.  I found this answer in the Solution Center and it worked.  I found that after adding Facebook to my BB it had changed the default calendar.  This Resolution fixed it!
    Resolution 1
To resolve this issue, change the default calendar service book by completing the following steps:
From the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Options > Advanced Options > Default Services.
Change the value of the Calendar (CICAL) field to the desired calendar service book.
Save the changes and synchronize again.
    Resolution 2
Upgrade to BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0.97 or later.  For instructions, see KB03901.

  • After upgrade to iOS 4.3.4 to iPhone 4 I can no longer sync with outlook 2007.

Initially calendar just hung (overnight). Tried overwriting from PC and my phone calendar is now blank? Tried to sync again and contacts also appeared to hang for 30 mins so cancelled sync. Any ideas?

    Hi Raleigh,
I didn't know of that article but I'm glad to know it now!
Oddest thing... I restarted my computer and tried to sync my iPhone again and no errors.
I'm not sure if the error was a fluke, or this "self-resolution" was a fluke...
But in either case, I'm going to bookmark that article you gave me and HOPE that I remember I have it bookmarked! LOL!
Raleigh, thank you for taking the time to respond and point me in the right direction!

  • Can no longer sync with Outlook 2007

    Hi all,
I recently updated the software for my iPhone 3G, and now I get the following error (partial):
Error 1402. Setup cannot open the registry key HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Exchange\Client\Mac File Types. Verify that you have sufficient permissions to access the registry or contact...
I then can click "OK" and it goes into an endless loop of trying to do the same thing, only showing the same error.
    I am running Windows XP.
I did a search for error 1402 and it means nothing.
Any help would be gladly appreciated!
    Thanks much!

  • HT4191 Since 'upgrading' to ios6 notes no longer sync with outlook

Why does Apple always make life harder everytime I let them upgrade IOS? Why don't I trust my intuition and stick with the IOS I've got used to? It took me a while to discover that Notes on iphones are associated for an inexplicable reason to an email account and that it defaulted to my gmail account. I then set it to default (for new notes) to an account called 'on my iphone'. Magically IOS 5 synced these notes to my Outlook. Perfect. I 'upgrade' to IOS 6 and Notes 'on my iphone' no longer sync with Outlook (quite apart from now finding the new itunes a nightmare to use).

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Can anyone help, since updating iTunes to version 8.1.0.52 my iPhone will not sync with Outlook Calendar 2007. I have deleted itunes and re-installed as per Apples instructions and this has no effect. Everything was fine up to the point of updating iTunes. iPhone syncs with everything else just fine.

I am having the same problem since last update. I thought it was my wife's sync with a Nokia but after deleting that sync it still is not happening and trying to sync the calendar events for hours. Would love for iTunes to fix the problem.
Does anyone know if you can download an old version of iTunes? Regards Lee

I would love to do this as well. All I need is my calendar appts from outlook. Right now I am using google calendar sync, but I would like to move to the cloud and away from google. I find it hard to believe there isn't an option to do this.

  • Syncing with Outlook 2007 Calendar

    Hi All,
I guess that there have been loads of topics raised against this subject. If anyone can help ....
iPhone 3GS (4.1 loaded) with iTunes 10 - attempting to sync with Outlook 2007 calendar on Windows XP. Getting the following error :com.apple.Outlook.client.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
No problems (so far) with Contacts.
    Help please !

Just got my first iPhone a few days ago. I use it to sync to Outlook 2007. The first few syncs went fine, but now changes in either the Outlook Calendar or the Calendar App are not synced to the other. The sync completes without problem (or success).
I guess I'm not the only one having this problem, which is worrying. Even more worrying is the fact that no one seems to be able to resolve this. If it's broken, tell us, and let us know when it's going to be fixed. The fact that we're being ignored is extremely poor...
There's also no documentation I can find about where to look for logs for possible errors, what else might be happening.

  • Fix for iTunes 9.1 sync with Outlook 2007

Like many others, iTunes 9.1 broke syncing my iPhone 3G calendar and contacts with my Outlook 2007 (Windows 7). Here’s what worked for me:
    1. Uninstall all Apple software, using the instructions in this tech note:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
    2. Download iTunes 9.0.3.15 and install it. (Search the Web for it, no thanks to Apple.)
    3. Restore from backup week-old copies of the iTunes library files “iTunes Library.itl” and “iTunes Music Library.xml”, since the latest versions were written by version 9.1 and not readable 9.0.3.15.
    4. Restore things I had changed in my iTunes in the last week.
    Things that didn’t work:
    a. The steps in this Apple tech note:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1692
including resetting sync history and disabling third-party Outlook add-ins.
    b. Restoring the iPhone to factory settings and then syncing.
    c. Help > Run Diagnostics > iPhone / iTouch Sync Test.

You are exactly right. iTtunes 9.1 breaks the sync with Outlook 2007. Tried all the fixes and even got a new phone from the Apple Store after being "helped" by customer support. It's not your phone, it's the update. iTtunes 9.0 works fine. The customer support people will tell you this is the first they have heard of it. Delete 9.1, search web for 9.0, and install. I could not do system restore since I installed and uninstalled about 10 different things troubleshooting. I just deleted iTunes library from program files (hope my iPod will put music back) to get around the library file problem. Now works. Hey, maybe we should work for Apple since we know more than their tech support people. Can't believe they are not aware of issue between the iPhone and Outlook.
