My iphone only recieves IMessages from other IPhone users, even if i'm not using imessage at the time.

So for whatever reason, whenever i text other iphone users, and one of us uses IMessage, my phone will only recieve their texts when i'm connected to wifi, even if we both stop using it. For example, i'll text a friend while temporarily using wifi or 4G, and then for the rest of the day, or maybe even longer (it may be permanent, i'm not entirely sure), i'll be completely unable to recieve any texts from them unless i connect to wifi. Sometimes, connecting to 4G again doesn't even allow me to recieve the texts. I'm not sure if this is a hardware or a settings problem, so i'm posting this here. I know it's not a service problem, because i can have normal conversations with my friends using Android, no interruptions or weird breaks in service. I can't afford to turn IMessage off, as i find it extemely useful, money saving, and I often find myself in wifi areas, but during those times i'm not it's extremely annoying because i'm forced to wait a long time just to recieve a short text.

Let's get those messages up and running! When did this begin and how long have you had your iPhone? Are you using Wifi or the VZW network? Have you tested while using both?

iTunes will only import music from your phone that was purchased from the iTunes store. To transfer music from other sources you have to use 3rd party software, such as PhoneView.

Yes, the iPhone 5S is a global phone. However, Sprint will only unlock phones for use on GSM networks outside of the U.S. In the U.S., that phone can only be used on Sprint's network.

Thanks for your help, but i cannot borrow a noral sim card now, my family has all up graded to iPhone 4s's, i have done this before, but one of my family had the same type of iphone so i could use theirs. Now i am the only one who still holds on to their old phone... I am not sure about buying an adapter...

Best solution would be to give or sell it to someone in Mexico who can use it. You can do othing with it if it is locked o Mexican cell carrier.

If AT&T authorized the unlock and it was succcessfully completed, then you should be able to use your iPhone with any cell carrier in the Philippines that offers compatible GSM service. You'll need to get a SIM from that carrier.

IPhone 5 using data all the time

My husband has had his iPhone 5 for a couple of weeks. We have Verizon 300 mb plan, as he is mainly just using it for calls and text. But it is using data all the time! Today our online Verizon account is showing 59 episodes of data usage. They are small, but still, why are they there? All he has done is call and text. He would like to keep the cellular data on because he texts by talking to it. He did not send anything close to 59 texts.n was not on the Internet.
We have turned off practically everything. Location services, stocks, weather, email, notifications for everything except text and calls. Stopped it from sending data to Apple. He has added only 4 apps- cam wow, talking bird, talking cat, and free cell solitaire. Not signed in for iCloud or Facebook or anything.

Is Digi a CDMA carrier? or is it GSM/UTMS?
If CDMA, that's normal. The technology was not designed for data and calling.
If its GSM, give them a call to seek resolution.

No, you should not. There are problems trying to go the other way, but updating a newer iOS release from a backup of an older iOS release has always been supported and is the basic means of setting up a new device from a previous one.

Go here: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=750 and download iOS 4.2.1 for the iPhone 3G. Perform a restore, but hold down ALT when clicking restore. Restore from this file you just downloaded. You should not get 1015 as you are upgrading, but if you get a different error, report back.
