My iphone quit working I am getting a new one under warranty. How do I know if my contacts were backed up
My iPhone quit working and I am getting a new one, how do I know if my contacts ere backed up?
Did you have it set up to sync Contacts to iCloud? If so you can log in to https://www.icloud.com and see that they are there.
If you just backed up to iTunes or iCloud then there isn't a way to visually verify the contacts other than doing a restore. One exception to that is that if you used iTunes for the backup, there are 3rd party extractor programs that can display the contacts.

I resently cracked the screen on my iPhone 4 and had to get a new one... When i backed the old phone up it didn't save my old apps and now I no longer have that phone... How can I recover a list of all my apps?
Backup does not include apps,music,vids,etc
Backing up, updating, and restoring iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone software
You can loo up your purchases in your purchase history ( in your account in itunes) and unlike music, you can redownload apps.
How to redownload purchased apps from the App Store -
my iphones broken and i'm getting a new one today, i haven't synced this one with itunes, is all my data backed up on icloud? so i can access all my contacts and photos through icloud on the new device?
Welcome to the Apple community.
If you have been previously using iCloud with your old phone, then when you login to your iCloud account with your new phone all the data from the services you were using will be added to your new phone. -
my iphone3 its ben havin g a lot of problems it will not lock i open a game and
it will go to ipod im going to get a new one but i would like to know what is rong with itYeah, and it didn't work.
I had problems when I updated to iOS 5 (lost all my apps - a few of my friends had the same problem) and when there was an update to iOS 4 (camera wouldn't work). The iOS 5 issue was sorted by backup (but I lost the app data) but for the iOS 4 issue I had to return my iPod to get a new one. -
Hello,
My ear speaker has failed in my two year old iPhone 4s. As this is a hardware failure under New Zealands consumers guarantees act apple is liable and is legally obligated to replace my device. Since I ordered my phone online from the apple nz store and New Zealand dosen't have an official apple store, how do I go about making the claim?Call AppleCare. They will explain your options.

my phone doesnt have a lock on it and i want to wipe out all the data. how do i do that?
Use Find my IPhone on either iCloud, MobileMe or any other idevice. That is assuming you activated Find my iPhone on your phone. You can remotely lock it and see its location on a map. You can also remote wipe it but BEWARE you will not be able to track it once you have wiped it.

I Just purchased a NOS ipod 5.5 brand new in factory sealed packaging from an apple dealer. I charged the unit overnight but the battery will not hold a charge. I read the Apple warranty and expect Apple to honor the warranty to the original end user purchaser (me). however I do not want to give up this iPod for a newer model because I love the sound from the Wolfson board. The newer iPods sound horrible and give me headaches. Does Apple still provide batteries for the 5.5 30 gb iPod? Or am I out of luck due to obsolescence? Thanks in advance!
I feel your angst, especially, knowing that Apple has become the most profitable company in the world, by selling us products that breaks down when the warranty run out, and crap service staff, who doesn't know anything about the iPod Classic, except offer to sell us refurbished iPod classic.
You can get the Battery replaced at 3rd Party store for less.
BTW, (most contributors might not agree with me) if you recharged your iPod everyday, it will be dead just 2 months after the warranty expires. My logic, the iPod battery will last for about 400 recharge cycles according to Apple Specs listed below
Charge Cycles
A properly maintained iPod battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 400 full charge and discharge cycles
So if your lifestyle is plugin in to car Audio dock, while driving, and plug in to home stereo while home, then it is 2-3 charge cycles per day.
But then you cant do anything about it, just switch to another media player. -
My iPhone's touch screen recently quit working, so I have a new one on the way so I tried to back-up my phone on my laptop and it will not connect. I've tried restarting the Apple Mobile Device services and that didn't work. So I completely unistalled iTunes using Apple's instructions and re-installed it and it still will not connect, and I don't use iCloud because the iPhone is my only Apple device. Is there any other way to get things off of my iPhone or is it all pretty much gone?
You need to get iTunes to recognize it. If your iPhone is working, which it is not, then a new screen would help. But you iPhone is broken beyond just a new screen. Now you can see why iCloud or even an iTunes Back Up is so important. iCloud back up is ideal for you, a one Apple device person, it automatically backs up your iPhone so there is a current back up ready to use anytime, especially in emergency like this. When you get your new iPhone, iPad anything use iCloudl it is free and simple.

How do i give a old i-phone back and get a new one cheaper
I have old i-phone that doesn't work and i wanna take it apple and get a new one.
What do i do?Apple doesn't buy back old iPhones or exchange for new...you can try selling on eBay or some other place as a non-working unit and see what you can get for it. To get a lower price iPhone you usually have to buy with a contract for a carrier which locks you in for a period of time.

Hey guys i have an ipod if i still have garantee do i get a new one?
if i have gareantee for 1 year can i change my ipod and get a new one?
I really do not know what else to tell you.
The answer is and always will be:
"If your ipod is still under warranty and it is defective and not damaged, then they will replace it with a service unit, likely a refurbished ipod."
This is as clear as I can make it. -
