When my iphone 4 is not plugged in to headphones the sound does not work, and if I try to adjust the sound with the plus and minus buttons in the side it comes up like normal saying "Ringer" but then there is no bar underneath it. Sometimes the sound will work for a couple of minutes. However, there is definitely no problem with the speaker as the alarm always works perfectly fine.
I have tried restoring it, this did not help.

No. What he should be doing is syncing his contacts to an app on his computer or cloud service, then sync them back to the phone (without restoring the backup).
Never rely on the backup for contacts. The contact info stored there may be incomplete and is only meant to maintain the recent calls and favorites lists.

When I mouse over the icons, the rainbow appears as if it was processing something. The problem is eliminated when I restart my computer but it comes back after a while.
I guess I cant make a backup copy and restore the whole disk because the copy would be made with this error.

Update: I was able to test out the HDMI adapter as well and the same issue occured. I'm stumped. 10.8.1 maybe.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Ok. So if you didn't know, there are some sites that allow you to download music for free legally. For example many industry artists release "free albums" or "mixtapes" just for their fan base. They are uploaded by the actual artists themselves and downloaded by millions of fans. However when I choose to play one on my iPhone 5c, all of them get deleted except for the iTunes purchased songs. This has never happened before and I would like to know why it is happening now, and how to fix it.

It may be that your iPhone's set to sync automatically, which can potentially remove any music that's been added to the device. It may help to set the device to 'manual mode,' so that you have complete and total control over what content is on the device.

Standard troubleshooting...
1. Try a Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the slider. Slide to power off. Restart by pressing the sleep/lock button until you see the Apple logo.
2. Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider if, it comes up. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
3. Remove all apps from Recently Used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red (-) to delete all apps from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
4. If still a problem restore with your backup.
5. If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
6. If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

Everything in iCloud working, except for the Mail

Hello everyone. I'm completely confused right now with my iCloud account. I updated my .Me account when iCloud came out, but I just didn't log in for quite some time. I log into my Apple ID and it shows that my iCloud, Me, and Mac accounts are all verified, but when I try to set up my iCloud account on my Mac, iPhone, or even just try to log into the account online it logs me in without any issue at all, but it will not allow me to access Mail.
When I click on the Mail icon it says:
iCloud Email Needed
To use iCloud Mail, create a new email address by turning on Mail in your iCloud settings using iOS or OSX.
When I try to do this it asks me to create an entirely new iCloud email address. I know need another one...I just want this one to work. Has anyone seen this before, or know what I can do to remedy it? Any and all of your help is much appreciated!!!

ITunes download said I needed to uninstall first. Followed instructions on how to uninstall. Everything worked except for iTunes itself and it won't uninstall but won't install either. Help!

I followed the instructions for the uninstall as found on the website, but all of the software except for iTunes uninstalled successfully. Now it won't uninstall and the updated version won't instal either and I have no idea what to do. I'm very frustrated at this point as I've tried everything on the support website.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

Does stabilization work even for the parts with the red squiggly line?

Basically my entire hand held movie shows the red squiggly line after I analyze for stabilization. I drag the clip into my project and the red squiggly line remains. When I double click on the clip in the project, the stabilization box is checked, but there's no place for me to adjust it. Is this image stabilized at all, or am I doing something wrong? I compared it against the unstabilized clip and it basically looks the same. Thanks!

The red squiggly line means that the clip is too shaky for stabilization to help, even with a zoom of 150%. Therefore, the options for controlling the stabilization are greyed out.

Working except for the 'air' part

I have just purchased airport extreme to replace my existing wireless network and enable me to use apple tv. I have got it to work by using an ethernet cable (ie. using a wired connection) and this seems to provide me with internet etc. and gives me a green light on the box.
The problem is I cannot detect a wireless network! I have set it up successfully (according to airport utility) but I cannot detect my new network.
Am totally confused, have tried all the troubleshooters but to no avail....
