My iPhone's speakers don't work
My iPhone's speakers don't work when I play music or the sounds of apps, but if I get a call they work. What can I do?
Some people told me they can change my phone because it's a hardware problem, but I bought at USA, I live Peru. thanks
The iPhone includes a single speaker.
If no change after restoring the iPhone with iTunes - especially after restoring as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem.
The iPhone includes a one year warranty and for an iPhone purchased in the U.S., the warranty will be honored in the U.S. only.

My iPhone 4 speakers don't work with music it only works when I get calls
When I try to play music or videos my iPhone speakers don't work but when I get a phone call it works and I've tried everything to get them to work but no result yet. The first time it happened it was because there was lint in my speakers but I cleaned them out and now that its happened again I can't figure out what's wrong.
OK, let's try a reset.
A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.

IPhone 4S speakers don't work but headphones do
I just purchased Bose headphones that work great with iPhone. Now after several times of using them the speaker on the phone does not work. The icon ringer does not say headphone mode but the phone seems stuck in headphone mode. When I put the phone on a docking station the external speakers on the docking station work fine. Any ideas how to get the speaker on the phone to work again? I have tried sucking air on the jack hole, blowing air in the jack hole, unplugging the jack several times but no resolve. any ideas?

Upgraded to yosemite now my speakers don't work and i can't play videos on Facebook.
When i play a video on face book I'm told i need to upgrade flashplayer, i wasn't even aware i had it downloaded! I have got rid of flash player (i think ) and now I'm told i need to download FP before i can watch videos. I can't play games on FB either and my speakers don't work.
I wish i hadn't upgraded to Yosemite to be honest as i prefer the old layout and it seems to have caused me problems. Everything was working fine before the Upgrade to Yosemite.
Im not good with computer terminology so please reply as simply as possible :-)
Thank youTry un-installing and then re-installing.

I updated iTunes to 10.5 and now my encryption passwords for my iPhone and iPad don't work. I know Apple says if you forget them then it's your problem. However, this was a direct result of my iTunes upgrade. I spent hours trying to fix this. HELP!
Definitely seems to be a cross-platform bug in iTunes 10.5 concerning all NAS disks. Shared libraries on network drives worked fine under 10.4.1, but now there is just an endless loading cycle with no error message or time-out. There is a bit more about it in this thread.

External speakers don't work. They are LABTEC LCS 2420 speakers. The internal speakers with RealTek driver works fine. I have an HP Pavilion 23 touchsmart All-In-One PC with windows 8. I plugged the speakers in the headphone port then tried the audio jack in the back with the same resullt. When I right click on the sound icon and click on playback devices and riight click in the open area i checked show disabled and disconnected devices only the speakers realtek icon appears. Do I need to download other drivers and how should I do this?
Try the following: Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Manage Audio Devices > in the 'Playback' tab you should see the ports (rear and headphone) > R-Click the one that you are using for your external speakers and make it the default device.
Trust this helps.

The User Guide is available at http://support.apple.com/manuals/ or downloadable from iTunes as an iBook.
Under what circumstances? Have you tried a reset? I always worry when people talk about "speakers" - if you are referring to the bottom of the phone, there is only the one. -
Built-In Audio Output Speakers Don't Work
My Built-In speakers don't work on my Macbook Pro anymore.
I plugged headphones into the headphone jack last night when watching a film, now all of a sudden when I remove the headphones my built in speakers dont work.
When I try to turn up the volume I get the circle with a line through it telling me it can't be changed.
I went to system preferences and it says my speakers can't be configured and my Master volume track is un-highlighted so It can't be changed.
Whats going on?

External speakers don't work with Yosemite
I have just upgraded my iMac to Yosemite and now my external speakers don't work.
They are there to be used under System Preferences -> Sound as "Bose USB Audio"
But when I select them I get no sound and "The selected device has no output controls"
I do get sound if I select the Built-in Internal Speakers
The Bose speakers worked fine under Mavericks.
Can anyone help me get them working again ?Had similar issues with Bose Companion 5 after Yosemite installation. Tried most suggestions posted here without success.
But Birkers' post about plugging in/out analog headphones from Bose puck gave me an idea.
1. Removed Bose USB cable from iMac (Late 2014 Retina 5K / Yosemite 10.10)
- confirm that Bose disappears from Sound panel in System Preferences
2. Played music through internal speakers - OK
3. Played music through 2nd Display speaker - OK
4. Re-connected Bose USB cable to a different USB port
- confirm that Bose appears in Sound panel in System Preferences
5. - Bingo! Sound now playing trough Bose system -

When my Mac goes to sleep, and i wake it up later, the speakers don't work AFTER it is woken up. You can't hear anything at all.

Ever since I upgraded to 10.7.5 when I wake my computer from sleep mode...my external UCube speakers don't work unless I unplug them and plug them back in. I've already tried resetting the SMC. It recognizes and shows the speakers in the sound preferences...but no sound unless I reconnect the usb cable. Worked fine in 10.7.4
Any ideas? Its ridiculous all the audio problems being reported.I have a mac mini (A1283) with OS 10.7.4. Upon upgrading to 10.7.5 it did not start up again. Instead, the light was on and the hard drive did not start up. The light on the connected USB mouse was not lit.
My solution:
Cold start with Command-v pressed.
This should start Verbose mode (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1492 ).
What happened on my mac mini was that the grey startup screen with the Apple logo appeared for a long while before the login screen came.
Maybe Cmd-v set open firmware params and fixed some corruption.
Anyway: my mac mini works again. -
IPhone speakers don't work when getting calls
i have a very specific speaker problem:
My speaker don't work but only when receiving or making calls. It does work in all other apps. It also works fine when making a call and using either headphones or when using the speakerphone.
Tried turning on and off. Tried reseting. Tried cleaning the headphone jack. Tried holding on the lower right side of the phone (people actually say it worked for them).See Here...

Wait for the Apple logo to Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)

Why is DW giving my templates a .asp extension?
All of the sudden, when I save a file as a template, Dreamweaver is giving it a .dwt.asp extension, not just the .dwt extension. I'm thinking it's just a setting somewhere, but I can't figure it out. Does anyone have any ideas? I can change the file
