My iphone screen is black and all the buttons are not working

The screen of my iPhone 4 suddenly went irresponsive and within a few seconds it went completely black. I tried to power it off and also tried the home button but nothing seems to be responding.
Incoming calls still ring out but I am not able to answer the calls and cannot see anything on the screen.
I connected it to my laptop, the iphone appears on "my computer" and I was able to see pictures and videos that are on the phone, however iTunes cannot detect the devise.
Any help please?

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...

Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple logo.

All iPad buttons are not working even after resetting it (hard, soft and via iTunes).

All iPad 2 buttons are not working even after I resetting it. I tried both of the hard and soft reset, and even resetting my iPad via iTunes.
The volume buttons work after I tried this method : "hold iPad in landscape mode. Push the home button while rotating it to Portrait mode, release it."

I have the same issue, nothing I did fixed the problem, I would suggest if you can visit apple store and give us your feedback with them.
for me I can't go to apple store because I don't have any store near me, I will have to wait for 2 months to travel!

My Ipad 2 Screen Has Gone Black and All The Suggested Solutions Arent Working!

Last night, I went round to my friends. he doesn't live far from me so I walked. Before I set off I put my Ipad 2 in my bag. When I got to my friends, I took it out and the screen only showed black. I didn't know what to do so I attempted a few common things, tapping it, charging it and resetting it using the home and lock button. But nothing worked. I looked for a solution on this sight and I haven't had any luck. There was a suggestion where I was to restore the Ipad, I tried it. Before then, my Ipad ran on IOS 7.1.2 I think. But it required me to update to the current software. I updated the Ipad but as it was about to finish restoring, there was a problem and everything stopped. At this point its really begging to test my patience as I spend around 6-8 hours a day using it for work and emails and without it theres little much I can do. Is there anyone who has had similar issues? I just don't understand how it ended up like this within the space of 20 minutes. Also theres the issue of restoring all the back up data, I cannot recover anything if the screen refuses to respond!

I Have a similar problem. My iPad screen will not respond to touch. If I tough the start button a message appears that says slide to unlock, but will not respond to my touch. If I touch the on/off key a message says slide to power off, but the screen will not respond to my touch. What must I do?

I have a split screen with two site. All the suggestions are not working.

Everytime I load Firefox, I get a split screen with two sites on it.
I have tried the resetting of home page and clicking off the icon to not show the site selection page.

All My Buttons Are Not Working!

I dropped my blackberry 9720 in a puddle of water and it rebooted. When I got home I took of the cover, battery and the actual phone on the radiator for about 10 minutes. After that I turned on the phone and there were some blurred parts on the screen as if water had gone inside the phone. I couldn't type my password and the four main buttons under the screen were not working as well. I wiped my phone and the only thing working is the touch screen. My off button (The End Call Button) works if I hold it and turn it of like that, but I have to hold it, if I don't then nothing happens. I went into the help me screen and my trackpad is working, but everywhere else, it's not, and the same for my QWERTY keyboard. What should I do?

1. Remove the battery immediately!! Do not attempt to turn on your BlackBerry.
2. Let the device dry in a warm, dry place for 3 to 5 days* (see below)
3. DO NOT "check it each day" by placing the battery in. Leave it be to dry completely. This takes time. Replacing the battery to check it can only damage it more (moisture + electrical current = disaster).
4. If the device is warm after the drying period, allow it to cool to room temperature before placing the battery back in.
Suggestions on drying your BlackBerry in a warm place (open, with the battery out):
*Place the BB in a container of dry UNcooked rice, and then you might also place it in any of the locations mentioned below.
*On top of any dry heat emitting electronic component: TV cabinet or CRT, LCD, cable TV/Satellite converter box or plasma monitor

My Volume and brightness keyboard buttons are not working what Shoud i Do ?

I have Downloaded Boot camp 4.0 for windows 7 in My Mac Book Pro MD103LL/A and all of it is working fine except the Keyboard Volume Up/Down and Brightness adjustment Buttons .
What to do ?? how can i make them work.. I have even Pressed that "fn" key like (fn + f1) and so but not working. Whats missing here so far ?

Updated the system and now many buttons are not working

After updating the operating system to the osx 10.9.2 I have many problem with various buttons. The main switch doesn't work when I wanted to switch the mac off. On the keyboard I can't enlarge or reduce the window screen using two fingers and so on.

Try resetting the SMC. For a Retina or unibody model, follow the procedure for "a battery you should not replace yourself."

I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue.
