My iPhone shows a padlock in the upper right corner and photos won't switch to a sideways view.
Recently my iPhone has displayed a padlock with an arrow surrounding it in the upper right corner and it seems that I can't view photos or text messages sideways. When you turn the phone sideways it does not change to view it in that setting. Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated.

screen from left to right, then tap

appears in the status bar when the screen orientation is locked.

I went into system preferences to sync icloud to my iphone, and i guess i left it up and now everytime i click system preferences the icloud part comes up. I'm having the same problem as well, but on the battery drain however, you can drain it faster by using voice control. If you have music on your device, you can use the voice control to play the music. Still takes a lot of time, but at least it goes faster. By the way, I tried running down the battery for over 10 times now, but it still does nothing. If this is in your case as well, it could be a loose lcd cable and you need to get it repaired or try yourself. There should be some good tutorials on the web.

Why does my caller I.D. photos show as a small thumbnail in the upper right corner and not full screen? I have used both photos I have synced and photos I have taken, yet others have full screen photo I.D.'s. I have looked onlime at several threads and there are no real answers as to what I need to do or am doing wrong.
I am also having this issue.
I've just spoken to someone in the Apple Support Centre who advised me that since the product is in beta, he is unable to assist. I wanted to find out whether someone was able to delete the data for me, or 'reset' the photos app somehow. This apparently cannot be done. He suggested I provide feedback via the feedback page, which I will do, but to be honest doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence in the issue being fixed.
I also deactivated the service and waited the 30 days for the pictures to be deleted - this should have been completed in mid-January. Instead, my iCloud.com Photos page is now showing the photos that should have been deleted as grey squares, just as you described. I am also unable to delete these photos; every time I try, I get the same message about a server error.
I am also unable to disable the service by enabling and then disabling it on my iPhone. Each time I have tried this it hangs on uploading for several hours, with the progress bar not moving at all. When I disable it on my iPhone, the web app remains unchanged.
If anyone has had this issue and has managed to fix it, PLEASE share your wisdom. I am out of patience! -
what should i do?
I went to the store last night and they switched it for me... i tried one phone but it had the same rattle so they gave me another one. now i am home with the 2nd-replacement and there is still a slight rattle, but nothing as obvious as my original phone i recevied in the mail. I am very upset because other people i know who also got the 5 do not have this issue at all.
i also asked to make sure that i received a NEW phone to replace my 5 day old iphone 5 and he told me they are all new replacements since its a brand new model, so they dont have refurbished ones yet. however it was in a small white box at the apple store. does anyone agree with this? i believed his answer.....but does anyone think i shouldn't? -
My HTML prefers the upper right corner - why?
I have written a multi-page website. Each has the right side cut off. The whole page seems to float up to the upper-right corner and then gets lost in the scroll bars.
Even when I do a "wrapper" div for the whole page with:
width: 100%;
min-width: 740px;
max-width: 1500px;
margin: 0 auto;
padding-left:2%;
padding-right:2%;
and "body-main" with css max-width 94%, the left side gets a wider margin and the right side still gets cut-off.Hi,

That number means that you have an event invitation. Use iCal>View>Show Notifications to choose what to do with the notification. Since OS X 10.7.2 is required for iCloud integration, I am not surprised that there are anomalies between the iPhone and the MacBook Pro. -

The easy question first: applying a style to the welcome message. If you look at the page source, you'll see that #WELCOME_USER# is expanded to <div class="app-user">Welcome: DEMO</div> So to change the style of the message, you need to tweak the style of the app-user div in your CSS, or override it in a style block in your HTML header.
Now, the tougher question: why the text is wrapping for you. And, really, without seeing your entire page, I can't give a full answer. But I'd suggest that what's most likely happening is that the table column you're putting it in is too narrow, so it's wrapping; try replacing the td tag with <td nowrap="nowrap"> This will force the column to be wide enough to display the full message, but might result in weird formatting elsewhere on the page (depending on what all is in your table).

Unable to view Device button in the upper-right corner

I need help please. I have 6 apps updates shown on on the upper right corner of the app store icon. When i tried to open the apps store and go to updates, the apps that need to be updated were not appearing therefore i have no idea what those apps are so that i can update them. iphone - double tap the home button (the round button with the white square) then drag your finger across the button across the bottom of the screen (left to right) when the quick access bar opens. then u will see a icon on the left hand side that looks like that icon next to the battery. tap on that and it will disable the rotation lock fetcher
