My iPhone six with iOS 8.1.1 will not allow me to add credit card data to Apple pay. It does not recognize my credit card in iTunes. I have I have set location to the United States, and restarted. Still nothing. When I enter the passbook app, hit the plus button, select set up Apple pay, select add new credit card,I get no response when trying to add credit card number expiration date etc., nor does the camera feature work. Bottom line is to date, I cannot add any credit card data at all.

I am guessing there is something about your situation that occurred outside the U.S. Perhaps you purchased your iPhone outside the U.S., or live outside the U.S., ...
At the moment, Apple Pay only works in the U.S.

I just bought my wife and I to new iPhone 6 with iOS 8.02 on them.
We have tried to use AirDrop multiple times but it will not work.
wi-Fi and Bluetooth are both enabled, and we have it set to discover are sent to everyone. No matter what we do the phones will not discover each other and will not send an airdrop photo or anything else to the other phones.
I am wondering if anyone else has run into this issue, if it is widespread are there is possibly something I am missing, however the procedure seems straightforward and it appears that it could be an iOS issue or something else going on. It should be noted however that some functions a Bluetooth work, such as connecting to Bluetooth speaker. But the iPhones will not discover one another and AirDrop simply will not work.

Okay, so I couldn't go back to the factory iOS 7 as the Apple store employee told me. Drat! Note to self, do not automatically update iPhone first thing if it's already working! -

Can I restore back to IOS 5.1?It sounds like you have a hacked/unofficially unlocked iphone. When you update, it will indeed lock it back, as it should.
The ONLY place that can legitimately unlock an iphone is the carrier to which they are locked and no U.S. carrier does this. -
After updating my iPhone 5 to iOS 8.1 it will not connect to the wifi network at work even though it recognizes it. It however still automatically connects to the network at home (this is the network I used to update the phone). My iPad however does not seem to have any problem connecting. I have restared the phone, toggled the router, re-entered the network password but there's still no connection.
When your device is trying to connect to the work Wi-Fi network, go to Settings > Wi-Fi > then tap on the name of the Netowrk that she is having trouble with. Then tap on forget this network. Let the device attempt to connect again and make absolutely sure she is trying to connect to the work network and not a nearby network, then make absolutely sure the password is entered correctly.

You must mean that the replacement iPhone has iOS 7.0.2 since there is no 7.2 version, 7.1 is the current version. If your backup was created with iOS 7.1 it will not restore to an iOS 7.0.2 iPhone. If the iPhone will not update to 7.1 for you, take it back to the Apple store and have the genius bar staff update it so you can restore your backup.

I attempted to update my iphone5 to 7.1.1 There was an error and now my phone is erased. I have attempted to restore from the cloud and it propogates the apple id with an old one, and will not allow me to restore from a the cloud
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I changed my Apple ID email address yesterday and now my IPhone 4 and my IPod 5 will not allow me to upload any apps. When it asks for my Apple Password it still shows my old email address. How do I change the IPhone and IPod to recognize the new email address????

I just upgraded to 15.0.1. Firefox will not let me type in data in data boxes such as a dictionary lookup or even the question box within the Firefox Help. The box usually comes up with the type of sinformation needed within the box, such as "word lookup" but I cannot type over the words, delete them, erase them. The box will not allow data input.
Totally unrelated to my problem with Firefox I got hit with a virus/malware problem which my virus protection failed to catch/stop. I was forced to go to safe mode in Windows and restore my system to a few hours earlier. That got me back to Firefox 14 and there are no issues with Firefox 14 with me entering data as there is in Firefox 15. I am ignoring Firefox's offer to upgrade for a while as I cannot believe that I would be the only one with the issue I described in Firefox 15. Thank you both for your input on how to correct the problem. I will try them out if I find the same problem later on when I "upgrade" to Firefox 15.

Cannot use aipprint from iphone 4 with ios 5.0.1. does not find the hp m1212nf laser.
have a hp m1212nf mfp(airprint compatible according to the hp web site) hooked up via usb to mac running OS 10.6.8., other mac hooked up via router to same network, Can print from both machines to the printer, which has the latest firmware installed.
Want to print from iphone 4 running ios 5.0.1. Running on wi-fi, and tried to print, but iphone cannot find the printer. Any suggestions??In order to print using Air Print you will need to make sure your iphone 4 is connected to the same wi-fi network as the printer is. Also, what is the make and model of your router ?

IPhone 4s with iOS 8.1: Wireless networks not detected
My iPhone has ceased to detect any wireless networks. When I am trying to turn WLan off and on again, the settings app is extremely slow or hangs or the phone crashes and reboots.
I have reset the network settings several times with no improvement. I have mad a soft reset with no improvement. Does anyone have any ideas how this might be solved?
Thank you!I had to do a complete reset of my iPhone 4s for another reason (the new iTunes could not access my Phone...). Afterwards wifi networks could be detected more often, even connection was possible sometimes. However this connection still is very unstable and frequently interrupted when used.
Just now, the iPhone rebootet while I was making a call... These wifi problems are just the top of an iceberg of problems I am having since I've installed iOS 8
I sincerely hope the announced 8.1.1 solves them (but I don't really believe my iPhone will ever be what it used to be). I doubt an iPhone is the right purchase for my next phone. There are other manufacturers out there who dont' force their customers to use a malfunctioning release of their operating system. I am talking about signing: It isn't even possible to downgrade and install a working os.
Apple, I loved you so much because you had beautiful products that work seamlessly. With iOS 8 you broke my heart. My iPhone is now a beautiful and useless brick of electronic garbage. From this day forward, I shall regard you as just another hardware manufacturer selling your products at unreasonable prices. Good luck with that. My Iphone 6 with IOS 8.3 does doesn not accept my charger? i canot charge my device?
I updated my iphone 6 to IOS 8.3. but since then, the device does not recognize the charger and it's cable. when I plug it in a message pops up saying "the accessories are not genuine and might not work reliably with this device"...or something like this. Now the device is turned off and i cannot even back up my data. Is there anyone out there to help me with that????
Examine the charging port with a strong light and a magnifier. See if there is any lint or other debris stuck in the port. Try a different cable.

Help with Xcode 3.2.6 with ios sdk 4.3: will not work...
So I recenty upgraded my Mac to OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8) and the xcode that came with it would not work effectively. I just downloaded xcode 3.2.6 with ios sdk 4.3 from Apple and installed them (after having to change the date to 2011). Xcode worked but opening the interface builder resulted in a blank window opening, not the actual interface builder. So then I tried to reinstall the .dmg file of xcode and ios sdk, which was again successful, but when I click on any of the applications it installs to open them I get an error. It sounds like you have an outdated alias to Xcode on your desktop. Can you launch Xcode if you navigate to Xcode in the Finder and launch it from there? -
IPhone 4 using iOS 6.0.1 will not play music through my car stereo
I have an iPhone 4 since it became available on Verizon's network. I have had no issues with my phone since I began using it. I own a 2008 VW Rabbit with the optional iPhone/iPod docking station to play music through the car's stereo. I purchased a docking extention cable because my phone would not fit on the docking connector properly due to my phone case. Everything has been working beautifully, sans the charging feature, until a few weeks ago. Normally, I would start the iPod app, load the song or playlist I want to play, and plug it in to begin hearing my music. However, recently the music stopped playing through my car speakers and only played through the built-in speakers on my phone once plugged into the docking station. I have tried hard-rebooting (holding home button/sleep button at same time until Apple logo appears), soft rebooting (holding sleep button to slide power off), exiting all open apps, opening/closing iPod app, changing different settings through the Settings app, etc. I am at my wits' end. I use my phone to listen to my loaded music, Pandora and Slacker Radio. It has gotten really boring listening to local radio during my commutes. Please Community, help me!
i have same problem in UK - my phone no longer works with my car cable - it will charge the phone, my ipad works fine, as does my old itouch so I know that the cable is ok. It comes up with no connection even though it is charging it. It used to be fine I dont understand why this would happen?

- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
